Jane's house is a cozy 130 year old victorian Italianate remodeled into a modern open concept living space. Our unique home has a style all its own curated from years of local Chicago finds. Located in the East Village/Ukrainian Village neighborhoods of West town. You'll find our location is convenient to everything! PLEASE NOTE .. Jane's house is an OPEN floor plan with a gourmet style kitchen and catwalk leading you to your own private rooftop. Jane's house is the perfect stay for a couple, girls trip or family of 4.

We loved Jane's house. Everything was just as pictured. It's quiet, clean, and well appointed. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and we loved dining on the rooftop patio. Check-in/out was easy and the host was very helpful. I'd highly recommend staying here.

Perfect place to stay!

Everything was as advertised and absolutely perfect. Great place for couples or a family of 4. The kitchen was well equipped and the property is in a great area, close to restaurants, shopping and transit. Amy was very easy to communicate with and Dean was a great host. Would highly recommend as a home base when visiting Chicago.

Won’t Disappoint!

The property was clean and spacious. My 2 friends and I stayed at the house during a festival weekend and we had a great time. The property manager was super responsive (shoutout Dean!). Highly recommend a stay!

This property has it all. It's clean and elegantly furnished, in an interesting neighborhood close to good restaurants and vintage stores. I appreciated the touches like half and half for the coffee and actual firm pillows! Communication with Dean was great, and they were flexible on checkout. Highly recommend.

Nice apartment and neighborhood

Apartment and neighborhood were clean and quiet. Restaurants within walking distance. Host meet us on arrival, walked us through the apartment and was available for any question/help we might need. A parking space was always available within eyesight of the apartment.

What you see is EXACTLY what you get. We left the breakfast bar only to go to the outdoor patio. It was perfection. Thank you to Dean for the walk-thru upon arriving and the restaurant recommendations. We loved every minute in this space.

Fantastic place to stay if you are a foodie and want to be close to everything! Jane’s House was super comfy and felt like you were at home with a historical twist. Great back Lanai for having a beer or BBQing. The bathroom was great with a wonderful shower and deep tub. Although I did not cook the kitchen was more than ample. As I mentioned the location is key, close to many great neighborhoods, stellar restaurants, and local bars. Close to the freeway also for easy access around the city. The hosts Amy & Dean were also fantastic and helpful! Checking in was a breeze and the flat is very secure with wonderful lighting and the A/C cools the entire place quickly. The living and dining rooms are also wonderful! When visiting the Midwest, I shall stop in again for sure! Parking is also a breeze as long as you have the permits for the neighborhood, which Dean gave me upon check in!

Cozy stay in Chicago, mostly

Our weekend in this home was cozy and enjoyable. For full transparency, the home is split into two sections: one for the guests, and one for the hosts. This was not an issue, but it did throw us off at first since we didn't have a separate lock for our part of the home.The interior was cozy and accommodating for us, meeting our needs for the weekend. There are a few places in short walking distance, but if you want to get to more common Chicago areas, be prepared to do quite a bit of walking. We had a minor issue with hot water as I had to take a very cold shower one morning. Other than that, we had no issues with the home and enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for booking Jane's house and we're happy your wife and her sisters had a good time. Jane's house is a typical Chicago two-flat that has two exclusive residences both with their own private locked entrance. Jane's house consists of the entire 2nd floor and private rooftop deck. Our guests will never encounter the owners as there is no shared interior space. I do apologize about the cold shower and will look into the settings. This seems a little odd as the water heater is brand new and was installed a few months ago and this is the only time it has been mentioned. Since you did not come to Chicago with your group and stay at Jane's House, I wish someone from your party would have addressed your concerns during their stay as I could have easily corrected at the time. Thanks again

Great place, great location, great hosts

I was in Chicago for a 2 weeks-plus work trip. I'm in Chicago a lot and usually stay River North or West Loop, but for this longer trip I wanted to have a kitchen and home base. All told it was less expensive than the mid-level big hotel brands (Hampton Inn, Embassy Suites, etc) where I usually stay. I haven't spent any time in West Town/Ukranian Village before, and the neighborhood is fantastic. Tons of good neighborhood restaurants, a great grocery store, and Walgreens/Target all within walking distance. The apartment itself is also great. Very nicely decorated and it had every kitchen amenity I needed, and the cookware and utensils weren't the mixed collection of castoffs you sometimes get. The bed was comfy, sheets/towels etc all high quality, temp controls were responsive (which was important because weather ranged from 30s to 70s during my stay). The back deck and grill were the cherry on top -- just a really nice space to have access to, and a much appreciated added bonus. Dean and Amy were responsive from reservation onward, although I didn't really have any need to contact them during the stay because everything went smoothly. I will definitely look here first the next time I'm in town for an extended stay, and maybe even for a shorter one.
