The Stone Farmhouse is living history on 6 acres of private farm land. Established in 1760 by Dutch settlers from hand-hewn beams and field stones, and continuously occupied for 260 years, successive generations have built onto the original stone structure, offering a glimpse into evolving carpentry and masonry trends since the founding of the country.
A recent family reunion left this review, among many happy 5-star guests who have convened family and friends at the property over the years...
This was by far the nicest place, with the most thoughtful and accommodating host I have ever encountered and the most comfortable and beautiful home .The house is interesting, spacious and well designed. One day we had 8 adults and 5 children, ages 2-6 and everyone had a great time. We never felt crowded. There are lots of kids' toys and books inside and equipment for outdoor activities. There is a huge expanse of green lawn, a really nice firepit, lots of comfortable Adirondack chairs, a great tree swing, a rugged road for walking, a garden with apple, pear, and peach trees, berries, tomatoes, herbs, even corn. David invited us to pick anything we wanted to eat. If you like to cook, you'll find anything you'd want here. There are thoughtful guest amenities everywhere - much more than could ever fit into a listing. The gathering spaces are very large and very comfortable. You will not be disappointed.
