Luxury 2 Bedroom, 2.5 Bath Dream Rental In West Bay

Have you ever dreamed of vacationing on a beautiful tropical island and staying in your own private resort? Look No Further--you've found it!!! You will not find a nicer place to stay than our large condo and small upscale development.

It is pure luxury with 2 master suites, each with ensuite huge bathrooms, king bed, flat screen TV/DVD, and ocean view. Perfect for 2 couples, as the bedrooms are equally nice and situated apart for privacy! Great also for families because of the large size of the home--almost 2000 sq ft. There is a spacious great room with a large L sectional which makes into 2 twin beds when the back cushions are removed and a half bath in the main hall to service this area. There is a gourmet kitchen (granite/custom hardwood cabinets), wet bar, washer/dryer, 3 large flat screen TVs and DVDs, cable in great room, stereo, video library, wifi, hairdryers, 2 central A/C units. You'll enjoy the ocean view terrace for dining, relaxing, and watching the cruise ships pass by. On a clear day, you can see the Hog Islands and the mainland of Honduras.

Ours is a small development with 24 hour gated security and you can safely drink out of all of our faucets--something you won't find in most rentals!! You will find that most times you will have the gorgeous on site infinity pool and private beach to yourselves (2 minute walk away). West Bay Beach is a short walk away (10 minutes) where you will find 5 dive shops, excellent shore snorkeling, and good fun restaurants. Ours is the best of both worlds--close to the action but a quiet luxury oasis to relax in. Our local property manager will meet you in our home to familiarize you with the amenities, answer questions, book tours, arrange an in home chef, etc .

Please note electricity is expesive on the island. We have to charge an additional $30 per day for electricity.

This was the perfect place for our family of 5. The accommodations were very clean with enough room for all of us. It is the perfect location to do it all. You also can't beat the pool and private beach for the busy cruise days. Can't think of a better place to relax than right here.

The condo was very nice and roomy with a lovely view of the ocean and ships passing by. Our bed was comfy and rooms were very soundproof. The location is great - just enough to keep you walking each day to West Bay Beach but not too far. No need for a car unless you prefer to drive yourself to explore the rest of the island. Otherwise there are plenty of drivers for hire. The pool is clean and lovely and you can snorkel right from the private beach if the wind is calm. There are several steps down to the pool but again it’s a nice walk each day to wear off the lobsters you’re absolutely going to eat! It’s also awesome to have a private quiet area to hang out at when the ships are in making West Bay busy (Mon-Thursday). Folks clear out around 2:00. The neighborhood feels safe and the neighbors and employees are all very friendly and helpful. Al and Frank were both very helpful with our questions. Stop at Eldon’s on your way from the airport and then there are stores down the hill and on the beach if you need to restock. Walk to Gumbalimba Park and learn some island history and see the monkeys and macaws uncaged. You won’t be sad! Diving? Lavina or Jay will pick you up and return you to your condo. We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning.

Great place for couples

Great living accommodations for couples. Each has own private bathroom. Kitchen is adequate for anyone wanting to make a few meals. Pool on site is quiet and walkable. We rented a car so made it easy to get to West End quickly! Al was very quick to respond.

You Couldn't Ask for a Better Place to Stay on Roatan!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Keyhole Bay. The condo was spotless and well furnished, and the grounds were well kept. We met several of the property owners, and they were very friendly and made us feel welcome there. There are several places to dine or grab a drink within a short walk or short drive. The pool and beach area on the property is great. In all a relaxing and enjoyable trip!

Overall, it was a great condo. Good WiFi, clean, comfortable beds, full kitchen. The owner provided a bunch of great recommendations for car rental, grocery store, restaurants, things to do, and nearby scuba company. We vaccinated over Christmas and loved it down there. Super happy with how responsive he was and how nice the property was.

I would say my biggest complaint was absolutely nothing. The place was awesome had everything needed for my stay. The beds were so comfortable, could of been the sun and alcohol, but I slept great every night. I don’t think the location could be beat it was awesome. We absolutely loved staying here. The location was wonderful - very close to West Bay and all the happenings but also removed and quiet when we wanted an afternoon at the pool. The neighborhood/condo was amazing. Such friendly neighbors! The condo itself was perfect - clean, very thoughtfully stocked and organized. The kitchens and bathrooms had everything we could have needed. Comfortable beds and a nice living space to spend with our family after our days exploring the island. The owner and property manager were both very friendly and helpful with local tips and questions we had. If we ever go back to Roatan, we would definitely stay here again. We loved it!

Great stay in west bay!

The property is well equipped and in great condition. Nice to have the pool and ocean access. The town and beach are a very short walk from the property’. We played golf at the new club - 9 hole par 3 . It was a challenging course to say the least but fun nonetheless. Plenty of activities in the area. Communication with the owner and property manager was great and made Everything very easy. Thanks!!

VRBO rental was excellent. Property was well maintained. Secluded, but with walking access to West Bay beaches an associated activities. Pool area was excellent for hanging out, or swimming laps (35 yds) if desired. Good amenities supplied as part of the rental. No shortage of towels or kitchen supplies. Filtered water supply and on on-site generator were tremendous. No need for bottled water and generator took over seamlessly during area power outages. Parking on site was excellent.

Had a great time.Our host did arrange transportation from airport to a grocery store & to our condo which was great.He showed us around our condo & the area. After that didn’t hear a thing from him. I what’s appd him to ask some questions but no reply. He was supposed to do inspection today at 10:30 but couldn’t make it so we left at 11:00 AM.The guards at our condo were Great! They gave us contact for transportation & adventures. If it wasn’t for them we would have had a hard time getting around.

The condo was immaculate and beautiful. However, it was very hot and uncomfortable as we could not get the condo temperature below 82. The pool was a long hike, some steps were steps and rocky. We were very isolated had o go everywhere by car. Beautiful place but not really walking accessible to restaurants, grocery or beach. On first day, the water had a terrible smell of rotten eggs. It eventually subsides Disappointed and will not return.

Beautiful Condo and Property

Beautiful spacious condo on one of the nicest properties in West Bay, overlooking the ocean, offering exquisite views of both sides of the island. The condo itself is beautiful, spacious, has a master bed/bath that wants for nothing and a second bed/bath that is perfect as well. There's a well equipped kitchen, which we used to cook, and a perfect four top high table on the patio to watch the occasional passing passenger ship or the water taxi, and to look at the ocean views. You can go down the hill to West Bay village in the early morning and grab the fresh fish from a local boat for incredibly reasonable prices! However, the piece de resistance is the pool area complete with the small very private beach, seen in the owners pics. It's not large, but it's picturesque, with the iguanas as your sunbathing compadres - from a safe distance - so no worries! Cacti and flowers abound, the pool water warm and inviting; it all adds up to a relaxing experience that far surpasses the tourist scene in West Bay. Both the owners & property manager Peggy are wonderful. Peggy lives on the property and knows the island so expect some great insights. As an experienced visitor to the Caribbean, I have experienced some disappointment when you arrive at a property and it doesn't match your expectations. This condo, and the property, will exceed your expectations! I highly recommend it!

Well folks, Keyhole Bay is an absolute Luxurious property, not even by just Roatan standards, this place is absolutely stunning. The infinity pool is amazing, open till 10:00pm btw, just figure out the light switches and pool jet buttons by the bathroom area and you are good to go. Also, from the pool, you can walk out the actual Keyhole bay and Snorkel or dive out. The Villa, 8A was immaculate and super nice with 2 full king sized beds and rooms with a huge bathroom for each, and you even have a half bath in the hallway. Bedrooms/bathrooms are huge with tons of space and privacy, as the 2 main rooms are a split floor plan. We stayed with another couple and we all had our own privacy in the bedrooms. Living area, couches, TV/Entertainment, dining room table were great also. A huge pro is.... Location, Location! Its a 10 minute walk to West Bay Beach, Bananarama, Beacher's, and just a short beach walk to Infinity Bay and the West Bay Wall. Great open kitchen for cooking, dishwasher, oven/range, microwave, blender, coffee maker, and all the cookware you need to make food with. A few things to consider, 8A although is awesome, its sideways to the ocean, so you dont get the best breeze on the huge balcony, which is important relative to electricity costs on the island. Electricity Costs: electricity is expensive in Roatan, just beware that after you checkout, you will be hit with a huge Electricity bill, as the entire villa is electric, no gas oven/water.

Great vacation in Roatan!

Only thing not working was dryer and ice machine in kitchen fridge. And wish pool people would leave skimmer net by pool, was always a lot of leaves and debris in it. Other than than was fantastic, loved our stay, snorkeling in west bay beach was the best! And Bananarama was our favorite hangout!!

Beautiful, Safe and Fun Property

We really enjoyed our stay here. We felt very safe since it's a private community and the property was beautiful. The kids loved the pool and the easy access to the beach. When the ocean was calm we were able to do some great snorkeling in the Keyhole. The waterfalls weren't working so that was the only thing that we were a little disappointed about, but the pool was still very clean and fun to be in. The owner and property management company were very helpful and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again.

Great combination of isolation and accessability

Hi Ginger & Peggy, I hope all is well. Our family of five enjoyed our 10-day visit immensely, despite two separate family members nursing knee injuries. Once Peggy helped familiarize us with the surrounding vicinity, accessing West Bay or West End was a very easy proposition. West Bay beach is a wonderful walk down a quiet, secluded jungle road and took no more than 5 - 7 minutes. From there a beach trek of perhaps another 5 minutes, placed our family at an incredible snorkeling location right before the Grand Roatan. Breakfast venues, if so inclined, were a mere 5 minute walk from the condo. There was also a convenient small grocery store and pharmacy nearby. The people of Roatan were very hospitable, and quiet. We found everyone friendly and caring. Our youngest son (15 years old) is an avid guitar player, and was invited to various music venues to enjoy the island sounds. The nightly thunder storms provided their own form of music, and cleared out the air. The temperature range was perfect, never too hot or uncomfortable. Peggy is available quickly, for guidance or help. She is onsite, though in a separate home, and provided local connections and recommendations. Ernesto also was available for quick tourist information or transport options. Overall, we would strongly recommend this venue for someone seeking solitude, with easy access to several food / entertainment options and world class snorkeling. Beautiful place, amazing pool and great location

This place was amazing and exceeded our expectations. The condo was awesome - large well stocked kitchen, great bedrooms with huge bathrooms. I loved sitting on the balcony every morning drinking coffee and taking in the views. Like others have already said the pool at this place is unbelievable, pictures really don’t do it justice and most of the trip we had it all to ourselves. Another plus was working with Ginger & Peggy. I booked the condo very last minute and everything went so smoothly. Peggy is great to have onsite as she is so helpful and responsive with any questions you might have. We loved everything about our trip to Roatan and would definitely look to stay here again on future trips!

A TOP CLASS CONDO!

My wife and I stayed at Ginger's condo during the week of May14, 2017 through May 20, 2017. This is a beautiful condo kept in very, very good condition. It has arched door way, well stocked kitchen and a great view in the "private" large balcony which spans the entire length of the condo. We never used the spare master bedroom/bath since there were just the two of us but it was almost as big as the main master bedroom/bath. The condo was very quiet and there were flat screen TV's in both bedrooms and in the family room area. We had stayed at Infinity Bay for a week prior to traveling the 5 minutes to get to Keyhole and we looked forward to a quiet setting - and this it was. Peggy showed us around and never bothered us after that unless I contacted her - which was great. The only glitch we encountered was that the ice machine in the refrigerator would not dispense ice through the ice shoot. However, the machine still made ice so we were good. The perfect place to stay!

I just got off the plane from our trip to Roatan and I can't say enough about how amazing it was! The Condo is absolutely stunning from the massive kitchen that is equipped with everything you could need to the huge showers and beautiful grounds, this condo has it all. We loved the pool and the location, a quick walk to West Bay but far enough away to feel the tranquil beauty of this great island. The deck is the perfect place for morning coffee and evening drinks. We stayed with another couple so having 2 master bedrooms was the ideal setting. Peggy was fantastic and answered all my questions in a matter of minutes from when I emailed her and we absolutely loved Ernesto, a great friend to have and trust to get you around! I hope you find paradise in Roatan like we did!!

Larry & Ginger currently are retired and live in the Tampa FL area. Larry was probably a fish in his former life. When he comes to Roatan he dives almost daily, plus they also snorkel together almost every day. Ginger is an artist and paints out on the inspirational balcony and displays her art throughout the home. As of recently; Al, the son of Larry, has become part of the ownership team. Al has been visiting the island for 10+ years and is a fish like Larry. Ask Al for suggestions of dive sites, special sunset locations, and unique adventures.

Larry is an engineer and was very impressed by the quality and workmanship of Keyhole Bay. The home itself has so many special details and all the comforts you would not expect--drinkable water out of all faucets, 2 central A/C units, 2 hot water heaters, travertine, granite, marble, coved high ceilings, etc. We always feel safe with our 24 hour manned gated security.

What makes this property unique

The best part is the location--in beautiful West Bay. We are a short walk to the main beach, which is perfect--away from the crowds and noise, but close enough to enjoy this gorgeous beach. Our own development has it's own beautiful private infinity pool and small romantic beach. Our community is so small that most the time you will have this area to yourselves!!
