The shower leaks from the upstairs bathroom into the downstairs bedroom and this has been an issue for months (it has been an issue in other reviews). Instead of being upfront about the issue they give excuses. Cleaning up the bedroom at midnight was not fun. The communication with the company was “I will have someone get back to you” and that did not happen. Till I kept calling and half a day was ruined waiting on a plumber that I finally asked not to come.We wanted to stay an extra night and they doubled the price of a nights stay but yet for our “troubles” gave us a 4 pm check out. They did give us 67 and some change for having to deal with an issue they are aware of.The house was great minus the leaking shower and having to deal with the management company. I will never stay at a property that they manage. The house was very clean and a great place.

Cleaner was delayed due to previous party and I was unable to check in until 430. They left large bags of trash that smelled throughout the property. There were cigarette butts on the outside patio and ashes on the patios and inside the decorative candles. The hot tub did not get hot and there was so much cleaner in there it bubbled over and was unusable. Overhead shower in upstairs bathroom does not work. Overall the house is lovely and was a great getaway from the city. The views of the mountain are gorgeous and we were able to over look the cleaner being rushed.

We loved the hot tub on the screened in porch, with a beautiful view. Beds were comfortable. Very little internet access, which provided our family with the opportunity to connect with one another :)

Nice place to stay

Overall it was very nice. Clean. Beds were fairly comfortable. Hot tub was wonderful. Seem to have a small problem with ants in the kitchen. The legs on the foosball table were unstable so therefore we could not enjoy a game :( Very quiet and peaceful. Great place to get away. Would stay again.

Nice cabin off the beating trail.

I liked staying here. Plenty of space. Tough spiral staircase to navigate. Has outside staircase. Spotty but expected wi-fi. Take a bit of maneuvering to get int driveway without scraping bottom of minivan.

A Home Away From Home <3

We decided to have our 5th anniversary getaway to this lovely, modernized cabin in the woods, surrounded by beautiful mountains, rivers, lakes, history and so much more within this small town. It was truly everything that I imagined what my future cabin might look like in real life. We were so reluctant of leaving when we had to go back home. I would highly recommend this spot for a romantic getaway (minus the children, of course! ). We're definitely coming back in the near future! We look forward to another wonderful adventure in Bryson City, NC!

Very nice house. Great layout, kids enjoyed game room and hot tub. Only gave 4 stars because of decks were very spider webs. Killed a spider in downstairs bedroom. A huge spider on cabinet beside downstairs door. Needs a good spraying!

Nice place with a few minor setbacks

The inside has been updated recently and was very clean. The wi-fi barely worked. I understand we're in the middle of the mountains, but the Starlink does not work and you will not be able to use your phones. This should be made clear. The spiral staircase was a pain. These things were minor inconveniences and we really had a pleasant stay.

We loved the house! Communication was spot on!! The front deck with the grill, the screened in porch with the dining table, the huge screened in deck with the hot tub, the fireplace upstairs and the fireplace down stairs, there’s more but I don’t have enough characters remaining. The drive in is only 0.8 miles on a well maintained gravel road. Don’t be intimidated; it’s worth it. The driveway is not that steep, it’s just gravel. You might spin a tire if you stop half way up. Keep a steady slow acceleration, you’ll be fine. Since this house is up a mountain, when it rains, the water must go somewhere, if they have a heavy rain, it could wash out the very front of the driveway a bit. It’s not bad. If you’re from the city, I can see how it could seem terrible. Hit it at a 45 degree angle, just go slow. You should be doing that anyway. You’re on vacation. :)Welcome to the mountains.

Check-in was easy and the house was very clean. If you like a location in a peaceful setting in the woods listening to a babbling brook, this is the perfect house for your stay. It is a short drive to the NOC but worth the serenity. Lots of porch area for family hangout, and places to hang boat gear for drying.

Enjoyed the serenity of the woods complete with running brook

We loved the house. Everything we needed and it was perfect for boaters. Plenty of places to dry and hang gear, plus the hot tub was great. The setting was quiet woodlands with the only sound being the brook and occasional rain.

Beautiful

Beautiful home and view. Small but perfect for my crew of 3 adults and 2 teenagers. I do not recommend if stairs are a challenge for you, but if not, it’s perfect. The driveway is manageable, but a little steep.

Beautiful Mountain Views

We loved: The location was quiet and very accessible. The two screened porches had beautiful views of the mountains. Furniture on the porches was very comfortable. Great TV’s in living room and all bedrooms. All beds were very comfortable. Individual air conditioners in every room was a plus. Nice perk not having to take garbage to the dump. Loved the house and looking forward to staying next summer!

Good for what we needed…

Overall, this was a decent cabin to rent for our son’s HS graduation trip. Pros: - Location (45 min from WCU, 10 min to Bryson City) - remote and Quiet - The outdoor space was perfect including the fire pit and hot tub Cons: - no cell service and starlink internet left a lot to be desired. We didn’t rent the cabin for the internet, but it did make it difficult to communicate with Vacasa and our family traveling in to meet us there. - there were a few things wrong with the house (overhead shower head in upstairs bathroom didn’t work, loose toilet seats, etc) - our last night there, the ceiling in the downstairs master bedroom started leaking water when the upstairs shower was being used. Fortunately it didn’t leak on the bed. We’re pretty easy guests to please, so 4/5 overall.

Beautiful view/some issues

Beautiful views out the back. The cabin and view are nice, just some issues that need to be addressed. Leak in the bathroom rendered the upstairs bathroom and downstairs bedroom useless as it leaked into the bedroom. Hot tub didn’t work and caused a breaker to flip turning off power. StarLink is placed in a bad spot, just needs to be moved, but until then, the signal is poor once this issues are addressed, it will be a great place to stay.

Spring Break Family Trip

While clean and matching description, we did encounter quite a few issues with the house. There was a mouse or other critter in the wall that was loud while trying to sleep in the basement bedroom. The shower on the main floor leaked into the ceiling of the basement bedroom enough that the floor of the basement bedroom had water all over that we had to wipe up with a towel. The water pressure in the basement bathroom was so low that the faucets just had a trickle coming out. The heater didn’t work and we had to troubleshoot with someone to figure out the filters were dirty and we had to clean them to get the heat to work. There was only 1 extra blanket in the entire house. A pizza cutter would have been nice, but knives worked fine.

Nice Quiet Place to Stay

Nice quiet place to stay. House has had some updates recently. We had 6 people and had plenty of room. Fire pit was nice to have out back. House was very neat and clean. Would stay here again however would note two things. 1. More towels need to be available so that you don’t need to wash as much. 2. Water pressure was very low at times. Other than those two things wall else was good. Probably due to being in a well. things

Lovely,secluded get-away

This cabin has plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces for relaxing and spending time together. We cook a lot and enjoyed the kitchen and outdoor grill. Little touches like a blower to keep the deck clear and fire wood for the fire pit were nice touches. Would definitely stay again.

July 2024

The house had terrible reception and WiFi. Could not make phone calls or receive calls while at the house. The hot tub never got warm so was like bath water. The wiring in this home was a bit scary. The fuses would pop when using the downstairs jacuzzi tub so we weren’t able to use it. The hot tub had exposed wire box at the top corner which made using the hot tub dangerous. The spiral staircase is sketchy and very narrow to walk down. Would not recommend this property for young children or elderly population. Was a nice property but definitely needs the electrical to be fixed/upgraded to code. Tried to call customer service a few times to report issues but then calls would drop and the customer service rep then said “he couldn’t locate our house and current reservation”? This is why I have the property 3 stars. We had a nice time being with family. Thank you

Bryson City cabin

We enjoyed this mountain cabin for three days in July, and really appreciated the cool temps at this elevation during this hot time of year. We also enjoyed the 360 degree view of trees and mountain tops and nothing else! There are multiple porches where you can dine or sit and enjoy the view and quiet. We loved this. Our teen-aged son really loved the lower level, where he had his own apartment complete with a game room. Fun activities were close by also.
