Holiday weekend

We stayed here while in town for my son's lacrosse tournament. It was clean, comfortable, and peaceful. We so enjoyed sitting on the patio on the river after a long day at the fields! Would absolutely book again.

Extra large patio/deck with an amazing river view!

My family enjoyed a wonderful stay at this property. The extra large patio/deck offered plenty of space for our extended family (and friends) to cookout and spend quality time together. Our family loved our stay here. Great living space for just lounging and watching a movie. The view of the river is just beautiful in the morning. Awesome getaway for girls' trip!

Beautiful house on the river - recently remodeled, and ALL the details are tended to - they thought of everything. Met the homeowners, and they were both wonderful. While the town itself is not touristy, don't discount it due to location. There are tons of fun things to do in surrounding areas, all within 30-45 minutes. When you are done, come back to the house, hang on the patio around the firepit, and relax with your family and/or friends. Best of both worlds!

GREAT Property!

This was by far one of my best finds on VRBO. The property was immaculate and well-stocked with everything a guest would need, as well as some very thoughtful welcome amenities. The deck was perfect for morning coffee or evening wine. The water-edge location is beautiful! It is a great rental for exploring the Rhode Island and Massachusetts areas - centrally located for going on wonderful day trips in the region. Additionally, the host Joe, was awesome to work with and very kind. I highly recommend this property if you are in the area. We will be returning clients in the coming years while our daughter is attending school in RI. Again, GREAT Property!

A lovely home with a great view!

We come up to this area a couple of times per year and have rented a number of properties. This one is our new favorite. The house is clean, well-supplied, and in a quiet, friendly neighborhood right on the Taunton River. Joe was wonderfully responsive, and we had everything we needed. We particularly liked that all four of us could have separate sleeping rooms/areas that were very comfortable. Unlike other rentals that have quirks and broken things, Joe and his family really take care of this home like their own. It was bright, surprisingly spacious, and warm. We are excited to come back this summer and really enjoy the beautiful patio, grill, and fire pit and some recreation on the river. This is a winner!

Perfect Getaway

I cannot say enough good about this location. The house was amazing. It really is a cute waterfront cottage, but the pictures don't do it justice. The best trip is when the location exceeds your expectations! The family room is huge and there was plenty of room for our group to hang out in the evening. The massive patio is great for morning coffee, watching the ducks, fishing or catching the quiet calm in the morning. There are separate A/C controls in each room which were a life-saver during the heat wave that we were there for. We really liked that it was a quiet area-easily driveable to many locations, but out of the hustle and bustle of other touristy locations. Joseph's communication was top-notch. The check-in process was very easy and the binder that was there for us gave great information about not only the house but the location as well.

Cottage with a beautiful view and location

The property was clean, well-maintained and perfect for a week long stay for our family of six. It has a beautiful view of the river directly behind with plenty of porch space to enjoy it by either lounging and relaxing, grilling out or around the fire pit. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, silverware and plates/bowls. There is a full-size fridge with ice maker that was very convenient for water bottles every day in the hot weather over the summer. The living room is open and spacious with a huge couch that fit our entire family of six to relax on at the end of the day. There are two bedrooms upstairs - the main and a secondary bedroom. The main has a queen bed that is very comfortable and the secondary can sleep two with a trundle bed. There is plenty of closet space in each bedroom as well. There is a small room at the back of the first floor that has a bed with windows overlooking the river as well. We made good use of the washer and dryer as well- they are new and work great! The location of the cottage is perfect for either local or travel. We were within an hour or closer to Boston, Newport, Bristol, Providence and there are so many things to do or travel to. We even made the trip to Block Island and it was only an hour to the ferry. The owner, Joe, is very friendly, hospitable and helpful with any questions. He welcomed us there on our first day and gave a ton of suggestions and tips on things to do and places to eat/see. I would definitely recommend!!

Hello! I grew up in Somerset, the Town adjacent to Dighton. I worked on the police force for 30 years (9 as Chief of Police) and always wanted to have a nice place on the water. We bought this years ago and started in a path to make it a beautiful home to share with others.

It adjoins a private beach and is on a beautiful serene river.

Its location is ideal….30 minutes to Providence, 45 Miles to Boston, 30 Miles to Newport, less than an hour to Cape Cod and 40 minutes to Gillette Stadium!
