VILLA LAVINIA #9 is on the east edge of 'The Villas on Great Bay' complex, directly on the beach of Philipsburg, dutch capital of St.Maarten. We are a we are a small gated property with all night security guard.
We sit on a lovely beach, infinity beachfront swimming pool and breath-taking ocean views. This complex with on-site management service is the perfect place to relax around the pool or to just lounge on your private lanai or elevated deck overlooking our beautiful beach.

Unique of its kind, Villa Lavinia #9 is on the west corner of the complex, it means no one need to walk in front of your lanai, privacy and peace guaranteed.

On the ground floor: terrace on the beach with wooden floor, a partially shaded lanai to enjoy meals and drinks in front of the ocean and a small side garden with hot water outdoor shower (it's the only villa of the complex so featured) and a gas barbecue; inside there's a spacious living room with sofas and armchairs, flat 52" Smart Tv with HBO. A comfortable queen sofa bed adds 2 sleeping places. Two steps lead to the dining area with a big round table and four chairs. Finally a brand new kitchen fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, a big fridge with ice maker, microwave, coffee machine and blender. Recently we fully re-stocked with dinner ware, cooking supplies and bar accessories. For guest convenience there is also a half bathroom.

On the upper floor: one ocean bedroom (queen bed) with private deck over the beach, one garden bedroom (king bed, ocean side view), each one with modern bathroom renovated with walk in shower. Basic soap, toilet paper, towels and hairdryer provided. Each bedroom is equipped with ceiling fans, Smart Tv and air-conditioning unit.
Beach towels are also provided.

Getting Around:

The Villas on Great Bay complex is on the west side of Great Bay Beach. Few steps away you can find shops, fine restaurant and casinos. All these in the newly renovated areas of Front Street, and the new 'Promenade', the beach boardwalk.

Just around the corner are two small grocery stores for convenience shopping and they will carry your purchases to your villa. There are many supermarkets to choose from if you choose to dine at home, but St. Maarten is the gourmet capital of the Caribbean, with 245 restaurants to choose from, ranging from the totally casual to top-of-the-line gourmet dining.

There are 2 ATM's within walking distance from the Villas, 770 meters or 1/2 mile, that accept most credit and debit cards. Cash is dispensed in US Dollars or Guilders on the Dutch side and Euros or US Dollars on the French side. A tip... Notify your bank that you will be using your credit/debit card in Dutch St. Maarten/French St. Martin before you leave home. This will prevent your card from being blocked by your bank for security reasons.

Remember we can help you with recommendations and reservations, and also arrange a car rental for you, if you wish, to explore the rest of the island, including the charming French side, and the 37 gorgeous beaches the island has to offer. We would also be happy to arrange activities and excursions for you, such as a day sail to a desert island with lunch and drinks included. If you want a quieter, stay-at-home sort of holiday, our lovely infinity pool and patios right on the beach are the perfect place to park yourself and read a good book.
