Perfectly Peaceful--Just book it!
This cabin is the perfect getaway for rest and relaxation. We are actually here for a job, but being able to come home every day and sit on the front porch after work felt more like we were on a vacation than here for work. We stayed for 37 nights, and were sad when the trip was over.
The house is fully furnished and located in a quiet rural area just outside of town. While it is a rustic log cabin, it is still clean, cozy and inviting. Our best times were spent sitting on the porch, watching all the wildlife, listening to the rain on the tin roof, cozying up by the fireplace on chilly nights, and just being able to relax and unwind after a long work week. Having the ability to cook, do laundry and have access to high speed internet was a huge convenience for us.
Shelbyville is a nice "small town" kind of vibe, and everyone we met was so friendly and welcoming. My husband and I kept saying to each other "I could see myself living here."
Katherine was an amazing host. She was quick and responsive to any questions or concerns that came up during our stay. We look forward to and hope we have the opportunity to return some day.
