Nice large house with plenty of sleeping space. Nicely updated inside and thoughtfully appointed with plenty of towels, blankets, toys, and games. Would stay here again.
We stayed here for our sorority retreat, and it was absolutely wonderful! The space was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing and fun weekend. It was the perfect spot for all of us girls to hang out, bond, and just enjoy each other’s company. The common spaces were perfect for games, late-night chats, and all the spontaneous dance parties. We had the best time just being in each other’s presence without distractions. It was the perfect setting to relax, recharge, and grow even closer as sisters.Highly recommend this spot for any group looking for a peaceful, fun, and memorable retreat.
We had six adults staying for 7 nights. Plenty of sleeping quarters and even though only one bathroom, it worked quite nicely. With everywhere we wanted to visit, Wasilia was a much better choice than Anchorage. The communication was fantastic and all our needs were met. We would definitely stay there again.
We stayed at this property to restock in town and explore Hatchers pass. The location was great for running out for supplies, and the home was lovely. The host responded quickly to any messages. The house was well equipped which was a welcome blessing.
Overnight stay with a group of friends and coworkers
This property was beautiful, clean, and so perfect for a little getaway trip! Rachel was an extremely responsive host and helped very quickly whenever any questions needed answered! The amenities and features of this house were just another great feature added on top which made the stay even more welcoming. We would definitely recommend anyone looking for a place to stay in the valley to book here!
The home is beautiful. Plenty of room for our group of 8. Thought single bathroom would be a big issue but it turned out okay. Internet was great. Deck area needs a little cleaning. Everything else was great
We came to Alaska for a week to visit our son and his family. The house was spacious with renovated decor and very comfortable. We hosted a family dinner several nights and had more than enough room to gather. Our grandchildren enjoyed the toys and art supplies left by the hosts. We would highly recommend this property. Rachel and her husband were great communicative and welcoming hosts.
We enjoyed our stay in Wasilla, and appreciated the layout and cleanliness of this property. We had enough rooms for our family of 4 to spread out, and managed the one bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked, and check in/out was easy. The reason I only gave 4 stars was because there was only one roll of toilet paper, and no spares that we could find. I've stayed in VRBO's where this is the policy, so there's precident if that is the intent, but it was advertised that the renter was responsible for paper products beyond the provided roll of paper towels, TP, etc. So I'm not sure if this is the policy here, or the spares just didn't get replaced, so I'm just sharing this as a recommendation moving forward to make the experience better. Otherwise, the home was clean and the neighborhood nice and quiet with numerous nearby restaurants. We personally recommend Knik Pizza for take-out, it was delicious!
We stayed here while attending the Alaskan State fair. Honestly, it was perfect for this, but not just because of the general proximity to our activities. It was located close to other businesses in Wasilla, but nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Some of our family members are sensitive to sound at night, but everybody slept pretty well and there wasn’t a lot of traffic or noise. We had our check-in instructions well ahead of our arrival, with lots of attentive messages from the owner. Everything inside is nice and updated, and they had some awesome retro video games in the downstairs as well. We only stayed one night and to be honest I was kind of sad I didn’t get to spend more time there. Very nice property.
The only recommendation I would give to travelers is, if you have a infant or toddler, consider bringing your own baby gate or other way of preventing kids from getting on the stairs, please understand that’s not a criticism of the property and just a recommendation for fellow parents with very young children.
This house is a home rather than just a house and we felt right at home in it. It was very well appointed with comfy beds, sofas and everything we needed plus loads more. The location was great, close to everything like shops restaurants etc but quiet enough to be peaceful and relaxing and dark enough to witness the northern lights (which i did). Good communication with the owner through the stay, would recommend.
The check-in and check-out process was simple. All instructions were clear. It was the right amount of space for our group. And the house aesthetic itself was happy, homey and safe. Definitely would stay again!
This house was perfect for our extended family. The bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. We were kind of leary of the 1 bath, but it was no problem. The open concept of the living room- kitchen made it easy to hang out.
A lovely home, we had a quiet night in before the wedding and the bride absolutely loved it! The bride also had a well wisher night before as a little black bear was wandering towards a stream in the neighborhood through the backyard section and she saw it
We had to book this property last minute for 1 night so in regards to that, this property came in clutch! However, due to the last minute booking the lawn was incredibly overgrown and there were no kitchen towels. Beds were comfortable though and the house fit our very basic needs for the stay.
We were just there for a short time to see Hatcher's Pass & the Independence Gold Mine before heading back to Anchorage. It's a very nice home with comfortable beds and plenty of linens. It was easy to find and in a good location for our needs.
The location was awesome, we all had great spots to sleep. We even had a mama moose and her calf in the backyard. The only thing I was disappointed with was that when we arrived there was Glade plug-ins all over the house, and we have very, very sensitive kids and adults that stayed.
The home was nice for our family of 5. Everyone had their own space. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to cook meals. The host was available to call or text anytime and check in and checking out was easy
