Worth the Coast Beach House is a new construction home in the Windmark Beach Resort Community which incorporates years of interior design experience to create a space that is both beautiful and comfortable. As soon as you walk in, you'll be immersed in the casual coastal vibe, setting the stage for a relaxing vacation in your new favorite place.. We have taken care to provide furnishings and equipment to ensure you will not only be in an incredible location, but you'll also have everything you need to make your stay unforgettable. This is not just your basic 4 bedroom, 3 bath house. With over 2100 square feet of space, the layout allows you to enjoy being together with your entire large group, or close the door to the separate "in-law suite" to enjoy privacy away from the crowd - complete with a bedroom and bath, living area, and fully equipped kitchen. The main area, furnished with a custom table and dining space provides ample seating for 10 people. You will also enjoy the large sofa in the living area as you stream movies from your streaming apps on the 65" Smart TV. Another option is to relax in the swing chair near the back window and enjoy the view of what we like to call the "Tranquil Pond" located behind the house. The back porch is yet another option to sit and relax as the day winds down. On summer weekends, from here you can hear the live music playing in the distance at the Mercantile as they host talented local artists for the community to enjoy. When you open the garage door, you'll find a room full of "bonus" items to make your stay more enjoyable. Whether it's kayaking, paddleboarding, bike riding, or ping pong, you will find complimentary amenities to enjoy your activity of choice. And to make getting around even more convenient, with signed waiver and proof of insurance, you will have access to a new 6 seater golf cart which makes the approximately 7 minute walk to the beach more like a minute trip even with the provided beach chairs, towels, and other beach equipment in tow. With 4 miles of golf cart trails and boardwalks, and a golf cart and bike friendly neighborhood, you can easily explore this wonderful coastal resort community by bike or golf cart. The main beach access is just off the town center and the community designers incorporated plenty of golf cart parking near the pool, restaurants and shops. You will also appreciate the 10 additional boardwalks complete with showers and golf cart parking making it easy to access your favorite spot along the 4 miles of pristine coastline.

Great Stay

This property was fabulous. It had everything we needed for a five day stay. The kids loved riding in the golf cart, ping pong, and beach toys. The area was not overcrowded. There was lots to do without fighting congested traffic and people. We took a short drive to Cape San Blas which was also amazing. The town of Port St Joe has cute shops and so many awesome food choices. Highly recommend!!

We loved our time at Worth the Coast. Everything was as described, and the layout of the house was perfect for our family. Everyone had plenty of room to relax and enjoy. The golf cart made it so nice to get around the neighborhood. It was also nice to not have to pack beach towels, beach chairs, etc. We loved the ping pong table as well. We cannot wait to go back!

Great Location. Great amenities. The bikes and paddle boards were fun! The Golf cart being provided was the best part. It made getting around easy. The house has a great layout and is very well kept up. The extra space in the 2nd kitchenette area was very helpful. The only negative was the amount of sand in the beds when we arrived, which meant the sheets were not washed.

Great Fall Break Trip

My family had a great stay for Fall break at this property. The owner was great and quick to respond to messages. The house and location were excellent too! Super clean and well equipped. It was great having a golf cart for the golf cart neighborhood and so convenient to take to the beach. The highlight of the trip was biking along the abandoned highway and beach in the neighborhood. You are less than 10 minutes from everything Port St. Joe has to offer. We will definitely be going back and renting from Sunnie again!

Our stay at this property was exceptional! For a small family of 5 the accommodations were absolutely plenty big- room to spare. The home and decor were perfectly decorated- bright, cheerful and modern. The house was completely stocked and the golf cart was so fun to tool around Windmark Beach Community. Host was super friendly and great to communicate with. The beach was a short cart ride away and the beach itself not packed in like other Florida spots! Plenty of space on the beach itself and gentle waves- perfect for a family with younger kids. The pool was also really fun and the pizza spot in the community was delish. Thanks for a wonderful stay- we hope to be back again!

Family Vacation 2024

Our family loved staying at Worth the Coast! The house was fully stocked with all of our vacation needs! The house was large enough for us to all feel comfortable and not all crowded together. The in-law suite was perfect for our adult children to have a hangout spot away from the rest of us! The beach gear and towels were an added bonus! We loved the large golf cart for traveling to get ice cream at night and to the beach during the day! The back porch over looking the pond was serene! First time to Port St. Joe

We enjoyed our time in Port St. Joe and this home was perfect! The layout was ideal for or family of 5 in the main living area and our best friend couple had their own space in the in law suite. All the extra items provided (beach chairs, beach towels, boards, etc) were so convenient and kept us from having to pack so much of our own stuff. And we all loved the provided golf cart and bicycles to explore this beautiful community. Sunnie was great, easy to reach and communicate with. Perfect house for a family vacation

Our family of 3 generations stayed at Sunnie’s lovely home. The set-up of the house was perfect for our group. The house was clean, beautifully decorated and well-stocked. The in-laws suite was a nice extra space that we enjoyed. The golf cart came in handy for trips to the pool, beach and for ice cream. We put the bikes, beach towels, beach chairs and sand toys to good use. The Windmark community has so much to offer to keep everyone happy. The heated pool and playground were big hits with the grandchildren. We also enjoyed walks on the beach and boardwalk. The people we met were the friendliest people, making our trip even more special. Sunnie was very helpful and responded quickly to my messages. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

I am a host at heart - love entertaining friends and family and was a realtor by profession for many years, so I decided to make hosting my own short term rentals my current profession. My husband and I live in an amazing little suburb of Nashville, TN called Nolensville, where the people are the best thing about the ever growing town. We love to walk our neighborhood trails, hike Tennessee's gorgeous state parks and visit our favorite beach town in Florida where we own a vacation home we like to share with guests. We have one son and three daughters who also love spending time at the beach house. They are the biggest reason we made the purchase, knowing it would always be a place to come together and make wonderful memories on the sand, in the water and at the house - and it has definitely been Worth the Coast!

Why they chose this property

WindMark Beach is a resort style community that we fell in love with a couple of years back. We knew we wanted to have a home in Port Saint Joe and looked on the Cape (Cape San Blas), Saint Joe Beach and Mexico Beach, but decided on WindMark because of the conveniences and wonderful amenities it offers. The beautiful trails throughout and ten private boardwalks down to the beach; each with a shower and golf cart parking, are super convenient. Our beaches welcome fur babies and fire pits too. The large heated (during colder months) swimming pool and playground makes the kiddos happier on vacation. Then there is the convenience of walking to several restaurants - want some delicious seafood while on your beach vacation? The View on Old 98 has it! Plus a gorgeous look out over the bay while enjoying it. Who doesn't like a pizza night while on vacation? Bruno's has some of the best in town and the recently opened Sunrise Cafe is around the corner too. They serve ice cream, sandwiches, specialty coffees- there's something for everyone. The Mercantile is the place to be - summer live music Thursday - Saturday nights, corn hole games, in-door or out-door seating, wonderful fully stocked bar with some delicious local beers on tap you've gotta try. On the opposite side of the bar, The Mill is a convenience store with a small selection of groceries, a large assortment of candy by the pound and if you forgot your floaties, they sell those too. Then to work off all of the goodies you found and consumed, there is a great gym that guests can buy a day/week/month pass to. If you don't find what you're looking for right here in the town center, there's a larger grocery store, local boutiques, antiques, home decor shops and restaurants, just a 5 minute drive to downtown Port Saint Joe.

What makes this property unique

Our home is one of many with the same floor plan, but we have designed and decorated it with our large family in mind and we think it will be perfect for yours too! Our one of a kind island with built in booth for the custom 10 seater table is the center of the main living space, making the open flow of the great room a place everyone wants to hang out-they'll be comfortable and cozy in a space that's coastally elegant decorated with cool calm colors and the hanging chair looking out the back french doors, onto the tranquil pond, is the cherry on top. This space is where most of the cooking, eating, conversing, relaxing, tv watching, game playing, memory making will happen. But if someone needs privacy or peace and quiet from the larger group -or you have multiple families with different needs- our home has a separate apartment/in-law suite that boasts it's own living room with two sofas, TV, fully stocked second kitchen, a full bathroom and a beautiful queen bedroom. The primary bedroom is spacious, tropical, and has a work space with monitor where you can hook up your laptop, sit in the luxury rolling office chair and work remotely while feeling like you're not working hard because of the two large windows looking out over the large body of water with a sandy shore and the sun setting just behind it. The en-suite has a large separate shower, huge soaker tub and is decorated to make you feel like you could be in a high end spa somewhere. The garage holds the key to so much fun! It houses 2 beach cruisers, an ocean kayak, 2 paddleboards and the 6 seater golf cart to make hauling the provided beach chairs, umbrella and beach towels down to the beach, a breeze. Our family spends a lot of time out there playing a sometimes friendly and other times competitive game of ping pong. Our beautiful home in this resort community with all the provided amenities will make you feel like you've spent a million dollars on your vacation and that it was Worth the Coast!
