"The Heron Beach House" is a Gulf front beach house located at 312 Sea Grove Way, Port Saint Joe, FL 32456 Just east of Mexico Beach, Fl. Windmark has 2 very large community pools with the new Windmark North pool being a 3 minute walk from the house. Walk to the white sand beach in 5 minutes or you can drive to the beach parking and walk to the beach. If you drive, the beach access with free parking is just down the street or use the new community beach boardwalk just steps from the beach house!

The floor plan is a 4 bed, 2 bath, 2 car garage plan that sleeps 8 to 10 people with over 1800 sq ft of living space located in Windmark Beach North Community. Windmark Beach offers residents numerous luxury amenities and features including 2 community pools, easy access to the beach, and a versatile community center. Standard features of this home include stainless appliances such as a stove, microwave and dishwasher. Not to mention, EVP flooring throughout the common areas, recessed lighting, ceiling fans in living area and bedroom 1, trey ceilings and brushed nickel hardware on the interior doors. Bedroom 1 is situated off the living area and has a private bath with a shower, full soaker tub, and a walk-in closet. A standard Smart Home package is included with Kwikset Keyless Entry, an Echo Dot device, Qolsys IQ touch panel and Skybell doorbell.

Enjoy the outdoor shower perfect for washing the sand off the kids or pets after a long day at the beach. Walk steps to one of the world's most incredible, pet friendly, white sand beaches. Fish from the beach, the public pier, or bring / rent a boat. A new boat ramp is right up the road. Enjoy shopping in quaint shops for unique gifts and local art. Eat the most delicious seafood found anywhere. Go scalloping, crabbing, snorkeling, or just sit on our quiet beach and read a good book! Panama City is 24 miles to the West, Mexico Beach is 3 miles to the West, Port St. Joe is 6 miles to the East, and Apalachicola is 28 miles to the East. Sorry, the community does not allow street parking or boat parking in Windmark community. There is boat parking available outside the community though.

Wonderful small town vibes right next to the besch

Great place and Kevin was wonderful to work with. This house is a short drive from a quaint small town with all your needs. A quick walk to the beach was great. Beach was never more crowded than 5-10 families, even on Memorial Day weekend!

Perfect location!

Beautiful home with lots of room! It has a great location, close to the path to the beach & steps from the pool. Be sure to purchase the golf cart if available, it came in handy on the trips to the main part of Windmark for dinner each night!

Absolutely loved our stay!

The house was wonderful! It was beautifully decorated and spacious and clean. It was stocked for cooking and had everything we could have possibly needed. The host was very responsive to all my questions prior to the trip and even took care of our golf cart rental, which was a must! I would recommend the Heron House to anyone, and we hope to return next year!

Summer Vacay

The house has an open floor plan. The layout is much more spacious than expected from the outside. The house was clean. The beach acres is just a few houses down if you plan to walk. If you take a golf cart it’s just a little ways down to the next access. Once you get on the golf cart road you can take any beach access to the ocean. The beach accesses for Windmark North are all trails in the sand over the dunes in between hedges and trees. The other Windmark accesses have wooden decks that lead to the sand. Our beach access put us across the ocean from the tip of the cape so we still had decent waves. There was good bit of sargassum grass washed up onto the beaches. We learned this is part of Mother Nature this time of year and should be gone within a week or so. The pool for Windmark North was a fairly long walk, but we had a golf cart so it was no problem. The pool was very clean, spacious and overlooks the ocean. I do recommend a golf cart. It allows you to travel to the beach, pool and main Windmark with ease. At the main Windmark there’s a pizza restaurant, the Mill for beverages, a coffee/breakfast shop, ice cream and more. We frequented that area and having a golf cart made it so easy. It would be impossible to walk there and without a golf cart you’d have to make the drive by car. The property manager communicated numerous times prior to our arrival and while we were there. He was great to work with. We plan to return to PSJ in the future.

Great house for a family

My husband, our two girls and my MIL stayed at the Sand bar for a week with our two dogs. We had the best time. The girls enjoyed their bunk bed room and my MIL loved the bathroom! The screened porch was nice as well as the beach cart! Will definitely stay again if we come back to MB!

Great, Clean, New Home in Cute Neighborhood

We had a great stay at Windmark. Loved taking the golf cart up to the community area to grab breakfast and coffee. Windmark beach is a quick golf cart ride away. House was clean and new. Kevin was very responsive to any questions we had. No complaints!

Nice Clean, Comfortable Stay

We enjoyed our time in Port St Joe and appreciated this nice home. It was roomy and comfortable. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived. Such a great place to just chill and relax!! This owner and community are very dog friendly, too. I gave the location and neighborhood 4 stars b/c the Windmark beaches were full of biting flies and 2 of us slipped and fell getting in the pool. However, Mexico and San Blas Beaches are very close and were great! Highly recommend! Thank you!

Beautiful beach house in a fantastic beach community!

The Heron House was PERFECT for our family's 4th of July vacation. The beach community the house is in is gorgeous and has ALL of the amenities we loved...fabulous restaurants, great shopping, a big zero-entry pool, and, of course, it's a quick walk to the gorgeous Forgotten Coast! The host was super responsive and happy to provide any information we asked for. The house is new and in pristine condition, and it was equipped with just what we needed for the beach: a rolling cart, beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. The back porch of the house was set up so well, with a comfy seating area for guests to lounge around while the others are grilling. The back porch was a perfect place for us to watch the 4th of July fireworks! We will definitely be staying at The Heron House again!

Great house for a vacay

We love staying at Windmark beach and have been coming here for years. This was our first stay at Heron House. Plenty of space with a nice yard for the dogs. Equipped with beach chairs so we didn’t have to bring anything along. Both pools are open with views of the beach. Lovely neighborhood for walking. We really enjoyed our stay and will recommend.

Great House!

Perfect house just a short walk to the beach, or you can drive if you need to take heavy stuff and you can park right at the entry path. The house is super clean, has everything you need in the spacious kitchen, a large screened wrap around porch, and fenced back yard. The beds were very comfortable. Washer/dryer made for lighter packing. The immediate area is residential and quiet. The beach wasn't crowded at all and we were there during peak season, we brought a dog so that was a plus. If you are looking for a laid back vacation to recharge this is the perfect quiet, tranquil place. If you want a little shopping, restaurants or bars, Port St. Joe is about a 10 minute drive. The house is locked by key code so you never have to worry about keys - super convenient. We only needed to contact Kevin one time and he responded immediately. The pace of the whole vacation let us slow way down and rest - came back refreshed instead of needing to recover from our vacation - and we drove from Ohio.

The house is actually nicer than the pictures show. Nicely decorated. Easy walk to the beach. Screen porch and available water hoses were great. We really like the outdoor shower. Close to two great restaurants. Paradise grill and shipwreck raw bar. We are already planning on next years trip. It was our first stay in St. Joe and we loved it.

Perfect Beach Escape!

We had a great week at The Sandbar! The house was very clean, well decorated, and is just a block from the beach. It provided the perfect amount of privacy for my husband and our dog but could have easily accommodated multiple couples or a family with multiple kids. The beach is beautiful, dog friendly and allows bonfires at night. We spent every morning and afternoon on the screened in porch and our dog loved having a fenced in backyard. Also, the outdoor shower is a game changer! I highly recommend staying at the The Sandbar.

Ideal setup steps from the beach!

This house is perfect for families or a group! The bedrooms and closets are spacious and the house is well laid out and decorated. The kitchen is fully-equipped and looks out into the family/dining room so you're part of the action. The wraparound, screened-in porch has additional seating and a breakfast table that we used for an "office" to answer pesky emails while listening to the sounds of afternoon storms (strong wifi signal if you have to use it)! A huge, fenced in yard made it easy to bring the pup along without making a total mess inside the house. Getting to Port St Joe was quick and easy; we enjoyed dinner in town a couple of times and had a great time exploring the quaint town less than a 10-minute drive along the beach. Finally, the proximity to the beach makes for an easy walk and the beach wagon makes it so easy to bring all of the comforts of home with you! Overall, this house has everything you need to get away from it all but it's also conveniently located near everything that you'd need to access while at the beach.

Kevin was a lifesaver!

I had rented another rental in Mexico Beach and when I arrived, it was dirty and disgusting! My daughter and I started looking for another rental immediately and found Kevin’s listing. I sent him a message explaining our ordeal, and he was sympathetic and accommodating on extremely short notice. The house was great! Very clean. Comfy beds. Nice screened in porch for lazy afternoons. -andjust steps to the beach. Kevin checked on us during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed and to make sure we were enjoying ourselves . He gave us great restaurant recommendations as well! Honestly our trip started out terribly, and Kevin and his kindness turned it all around. We went home relaxed and happy......

Why they chose this property

We bought this cottage for our vacation home while living in the Atlanta area. We couldn't get enough of this peaceful, friendly place, so we bought this gulf view home. We have a home in metro Atlanta and have decided to share this cottage with others who have fallen in love with the Gulf and the white sand beaches!

What makes this property unique

We love to walk our dog on the beach, watch our kids swim and play in the sand, ride bikes along the coast, campfires on the beach at night and take the boat out to catch some fish. If we don't feel like cooking, we head to Killer Seafood for nationally-recognized Killer Fish Tacos or a bread bowl full of fresh, local seafood and Award-winning Killer Seafood Sauce. Yum! Or, a trip to Provisions in Port Saint Joe- just a short drive up the coast to the east. Incredible food!
