We strongly recommend having your own vehicle as there are a multitude of activities within a 30-minute drive which you will not want to miss out on. The Apt does not have parking. We recommend leaving your car in private parking. You can also use Uber to get around San Juan.

Old San Juan

The location was excellent. A couple of concerns. Hot water inconsistent if not at all. The communication with Host un acceptable and borderline rude. I felt like it was AI at times. But let me say again the location was excellent. Due Holiday it was 3 times price it should be.

Great location but the facility could be better

We arrived Friday evening and weren't unhappy with the place. It has sort of an old world feel to it. The problem was that on Saturday when we decided to make coffee there was already coffee in the coffeemaker, which we didn't remember making. There were used washcloths but none of us could remember using them. I mentioned it to the host and he was very prompt with his responses. He showed me time-stamped photos from the cleaning crew demonstrating that they'd been there earlier on Friday and the bathroom looked neat and tidy in those photos. There was no explaining it but it made me question how clean the rest of the place really was. There's no dishwasher and the departure guidelines are to wash and put the dishes/glasses back; so, did the cleaning crew clean it, or were they rinsed by the last tenants? That made me wonder how clean the place was overall. It's a great location, but there were other small things that were a little off. The lamp in the master bedroom didn't have a way to turn it on or off, so we'd just unplug and plug it in when we wanted light next to the bed. The master bedroom door doesn't shut properly, causing a loud noise. The shower in the master bathroom had two temperature: cold and blisteringly hot. And if you adjust the shower faucet to try to find the middle ground, you better hurry because the water heater must be about the size of a milk jug. The hot water lasted about 5 minutes before going out.

Can’t beat the location!

The location for this property can’t be beat. We were able to walk anywhere we wanted to in VSJ! The host was super helpful in finding parking as well, which was cheap and easy to navigate. The property was clean and the check in process was super easy. The listing mentions a balcony but what isn’t clear is that one of the bedrooms is essentially an open loft with no door or walls so it lacks a lot of privacy. The ceiling is also super low in the loft so anyone slightly taller won’t be able to stand up straight. The bedroom underneath the loft has an opening along where the wall meets the ceiling and is right off the kitchen/entrance to the property so you can hear everything- people using the bathroom, coming into the kitchen, coming in from the rooftop to go to their bedrooms, etc. We also could not figure out how to get the showers to be hot - there seemed to be no rhyme or reason to it so most of us ended up taking very cold showers. The seating area in the photos was also not a part of the apartment, it is located in the common area on the way up to the 3rd floor, so aside from outdoors on the rooftop deck, there wasn’t a place for all of us to be able to sit together comfortably. Overall, we felt that it was worth the amount we paid.
