The apartment has a fully private entryway and garden. Minimum rental of 30 days due to local laws, with large discounts for such a long rental. The apartment was fully renovated 3 years ago and tastefully furnished (20th century modern). 2 quiet bedrooms can sleep 4 adults and 2 children (one queen bed in each bedroom, 2 children beds). There is a sleeping couch for 2 more adults. The apartment features 1.5 bathrooms. The open kitchen has modern appliances, including washer and dryer. Staircase leads down to office and tv room (with another large couch). The private garden is equipped with wooden furniture for outdoor dining. Apartment has wireless internet access and a 42' tv. We provide a chromebook on request.

The apartment also works very well for families with kids . Young children also are very welcome and we can provide a baby packnplay, a (sit-up) strollers and two scooters for toddlers.

Perfect for a New York Trip

The apartment is lovely, quiet, nicely furnished and incredibly comfortable. We had a group of 5 and felt there was plenty of room for everyone. The neighborhood is a perfect place to stroll and a block from Central Park. We can't wait to visit again soon.

Excellent location just steps from central park within a safe & friendly neighborhood with lots of restaurants within walking distance. Subway metro stations either 3/2 blocks away. Clean, spacious, full amenities. Host is very helpful and responds fast. Would definitely recommend and would book again

Better than the pictures suggest. One block away from Central Park.

If it's your first or fifth time renting an apartment in NYC, the one will blow away your expectations. Comfortable for 6 guests, it's situated on a very quite street on the upper west side. The neighborhood couldn't be any better. Great restaurants and as stated, the park is about one minute away. The interior is tastefully decorated with every type of sheet, spice and supply you would expect from a luxury rental. Beds are of excellent quality and there is practically no noise from the street (a huge deal when renting in NyC). 100% five star experience.

We could not have enjoyed the space more- it’s lovely with full large public rooms, a full kitchen, a bedroom that looks at a private garden and oh what a garden - all in the heart of the upper west side within less than a block of fabulous cafes and shops

Fantastic!

The apartment is exactly as described and actually looks better in person than it does in the photos. The location is just perfect. You're on quiet and peaceful block steps from Central Park with plenty of great restaurants and shops nearby. The hosts are also wonderful. They made sure we felt right at home and were quick to respond and resolve any minor issues that came up during our stay. Highly recommend!!

Very nice neighbourhood, just around the corner from all the conveniences you might need, and yet very quiet. Lovely little garden which was very welcoming after long days out in the city. The owner was very responsive and easily reachable.

Great space, great location, great neighborhood

This apartment worked perfectly for my family and extended family to meet up and enjoy the city together. My parents slept in the master, my husband and I and two kids slept in the guest room (with the two perfect toddler beds crammed in around the queen bed it was a bit tight, but it worked) and my brother slept downstairs in the TV room (he said the pull-out couch was uncomfortable, but he's picky). We loved the decor and feel of the place. The outdoor patio is beautiful and we wish the weather had been warmer so we could have used it more. My aunt and cousin, who live in the city, marveled at how much space we had! It was all very clean and convenient. So close to Central Park, Natural History Museum, great Upper West Side restaurants, and Subway station. Dirk was great to communicate with and very helpful. Would love to stay there again!

Apartment was perfect for three. Super clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. We loved the location one block from good grocery store and nice restaurants. One block from the park and easy distance to subway. Would definotely stay again. Dirk was extremely helpful and very efficient. His family even delivered home made muffins for us. A lovely touch!

Fantastic location

great apartment on the West Side

This was a beautiful apartment, lots of space and a lovely outdoor courtyard, not your typical tiny NY apartment. The owners were great to work with, gave clear instructions on getting into the property, and sent them right away, before our flights, making everything much less stressful. Our damage deposit was refunded promptly also. There were plenty of pots and pans in the kitchen to make some simple meals - clam chowder, roasted vegetables, eggs Benedict, etc. We used the outdoor table for a couple of meals as the weather was very nice in October. One night was cold and rainy, and we used the umbrellas, but most of the time was just great jacket weather. The apartment is about 3 blocks from the 86th street metro station, B and C lines; and a few blocks heading west takes you to the 1 line. We enjoyed Central Park, just down the block, and walked through the park to the Met. We visited a lot of art museums, ABC Furniture store on the East Side, Chelsea markets and galleries, Javits Center for a conference, Lower Manhattan, 911 Memorial, so many things to do. Having the lockbox for the key worked great so we could all come and go independently. Thanks for a great stay; we hope to come back soon!

Spectacular peaceful space one block from Central Park. Beautifully decorated,quiet apartment that easily sleeps five. Close to the park, museums and metro. Half block to great restaurants on Columbus and Amsterdam. A quick 25 minute by Uber to Newark Liberty International Airport. Dirk is a wonderful landlord,responsive and helpful in all ways

Great spot for families of all ages

This is my second time staying at this UWS apartment. This time we stayed with another family with 11 year old twins (mine are 5 years old) and there was something for everyone. We used the back patio and picnic table everyday for meals - plenty of indoor space for everyone as well. Great location with plenty of markets, restaurants, museums, the park all nearby. Dirk is great to deal with and is very accommodating. Apartment is exactly how it appears in the pictures. And with a washer and dryer right in the unit - it makes it very family-friendly.

Magical property in Manhattan

This magnificent property is an oasis in Manhattan. Our family gathered from all over the world to meet for a memorial service. The beautiful garden terrace patio became a place of celebration and reunion. Spectacular and special. The home is beautifully located on the upper west side, close to great restaurants and bars but very quiet --- and close to the Children's Museum. Dirk is great to work with and he went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Highly, highly recommend!!!!

Wonderful apartment and location

My family had a wonderful stay at Dirk’s apartment. We were five adults and one baby, and the space worked out beautifully for us. Dirk provided a crib and a stroller, had a child-gate for the stairs and a child-proof lock for the gate. The open space arrangement made it perfect for visiting and provided lots of room for a crawling baby to show off new skills. Having the back garden was a bonus; it is nicely landscaped and a lovely spot to hang out in. We cooked a few nights and the kitchen was well-equipped and a pleasure to work in. Being close to Central Park was fun--for walks and also for use of the playground. Really a great location. We would certainly like to stay in the apartment again and will recommend it to friends. Dirk was a great host.

Wonderful Place for Spending Time w/ Family in NYC

My wife and I took our 2 young kids to NYC for a long weekend. We had a wonderful stay as the apartment has an excellent location and a very comfortable atmosphere particularly with access to the garden for our boys. Also - the landlord is very responsive and helpful.
