About this property

Oceanfront on a Private Beach-Hot Tub-Beautifully Remodeled-Dog Friendly Beach

Welcome to Sachs' Sea Shack… An Oceanfront 3 bedroom and 2 bath home on 1.21 acres with 85 feet of private beach located in Alligator Point, Florida on the Gulf of Mexico. New six-person hot tub with breathtaking ocean views. Our home is privately owned and managed.

Known as “The Point,” it is a hidden gem on Florida’s Forgotten Coast. It includes eight miles of natural coastline, which boasts uncrowded beaches and calm shallow waters to float, kayak, and paddle board. There is an abundance of beautiful shells, fabulous diving, fishing, and wildlife. There are no alligators. The reason for the town’s name is that the peninsula is shaped like an alligator’s tail and the tree line at the end resembles an open-mouthed gator. Bring your boat since the harbor and ocean is known for amazing diving for hog fish, scallops, and lobster and fishing for cobia, grouper, red fish, snapper, and tarpon. The Windward Alligator Point Marina offers wet slips and a public boat ramp, or you can launch your boat at the multiple boat ramps with ease and no fees.

As you walk in, the wall of glass and breathtaking ocean views create a sense of openness. The décor is nautical with artistic touches. The living room has a wraparound couch, comfortable chair, and a curved 65-inch smart TV with high speed WIFI, Netflix and Sling TV. The chef's kitchen features an oversized quartzite center island, induction cooktop, beverage refrigerator, dishwasher, refrigerator with water and ice, microwave, wall oven, motion kitchen faucet, two barstools, coffee maker that makes twelve cups or a K-cup single brew, and an Alexa. We love to cook so the kitchen is fully equipped with an array of spices and cookware. With families in mind, the dining table seats six.

Unwind in the master bedroom that features a king size bed with a plush cooling mattress, a 55-inch smart TV, and a private deck with endless ocean views. Enjoy the luxurious bathroom that has lighted mirrors, double sinks, and a walk-in shower with a rain shower and body sprayer. Even the second bedroom has spectacular ocean views featuring a king size bed with a plush cooling mattress, 55-inch smart TV and a private deck. The shared guest bathroom has a walk-in shower and vessel double sinks. The third bedroom has a queen-size bed and a 42-inch smart TV. It is perfect for adults and kids.

The house is completely stocked with blow dryers, hand and body soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes and paste, laundry and dishwasher detergent, cleaning supplies, trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, tinfoil, small and large storage bags, and more. Let us not forget the inside washer and dryer.

The outdoor living space has an oceanfront screened porch with stunning views. There is an Alexa to play your favorite music, refrigerator/freezer with water and ice, couch, and three comfortable chairs to watch the dolphins and pelicans going by. The open-air heated shower has a conch shell head with plenty of bath and beach towels.

Readily available are beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrella, beach/fishing cart, surf fishing rods, tackle, and a barbeque grill. Downstairs, there is a screened area with a sink, cutting board, fryer, and beach toys. The two swings and a bean toss game are perfect to entertain the kids. Take a ride on the two beach cruiser bikes to explore the area or unwind in the gazebo. Imagine yourself relaxing on the beach watching the ocean unfurl while the breeze nourishes your soul. Your mind is at ease, just nature at its best.

We welcome your well-behaved dog of all shapes and sizes. Your fur baby will feel at home. No need to bring your dog bowls, there are two sets. There is plenty of yard space to play and they are allowed on the beach. We have a dog washing station with soap and towels. Please contact us in advance upon booking for the dog policy information. There is an additional non-refundable $100 cleaning charge to assure the home is allergen-free for the next incoming guest.

The area restaurants offer everything from casual river-front dining featuring continental cuisine and coastal specialties. Angelo's Seafood Restaurant has local seafood prepared with a touch of Greek flair. The End of the World Oasis at the Alligator Point Marina offers appetizers and hot sandwiches plus a full bar. The Seineyard at Rock Landing has delicious crab cakes and the best hush puppies we have ever eaten. Posey's Steam Room and Oyster Bar have a great grilled grouper sandwich and fries.

As for groceries, be sure to stop at Publix grocery store in Crawfordville on your way in to stock up on your favorite treats. The Coastal Market and the Dollar General Store will have your basic grocery items for a quick purchase. Mineral Springs Seafood is a seafood market that has the most amazing seafood dips and smoked fish. My Way Seafood is a seafood market known for its fresh catch seafood.

Are you interested in checking out the local attractions? Bald Point State Park has more than 4,800 acres of coastal wilderness dotted with freshwater ponds and tidal marshes. You can hike along the nature trails to view the many local and migratory birds that frequent the area and enjoy seasonal wildflowers and wildlife. Dog Island is a privately owned small and remote barrier island accessible by water-taxi or boat. There is no public land or amenities on the island, however, you may wish to walk the beachfront. The water is clear to view the beautiful sea life. Visit the Gulf Specimen Marine Laboratory in Panacea. There is a collection of sea water tanks and aquariums, and they focus on creatures such as seahorses and hermit crabs, emerald eyed spiny box fish, electric rays, and red and white spotted calico crabs – just a few of the endless living treasures of north Florida’s coast.

Discover for yourself why so many people love “The Point.”

unforgettable
We had the most amazing week at The Sachs Sea Shack. A beautifully prepared vacation home with absolutely every convenience thought about and so easy to maintain. Beds were incredibly comfortable and the gulf view from them in the morning made me never want to leave this incredible gem of a place. The master shower is so spa like and elegant, absolutely every part of this property made us never want to leave. Dolphins visited daily, the sunsets were something dreams are made of. I can't express how much I needed this little piece of paradise. Our weather was not ideal as there were record lows in Florida our week. But it wasn't the snow we had at home and the beach was still delightful with the slight feel of southern breezes fighting the arctic blasts. Plus we could enjoy the beach from the beautiful living room warmed by the fireplace that was so easy to use. Did I say already I can't wait to go back? It's a bitter sweet review I'm writing as once this amazing home is discovered by others I'm fearful the bookings will explode and I want to keep it all to myself! What a place to restore the soul.

First Visit to Alligator Point - It was magical
Our first visit to Alligator Point and the Forgotten Coast was a magical experience. The house was spotless and exactly as described in the listing and the owner's website. The property has too many extras and amenities to list in a review - the owner went way over and above the requirements for a rental. The area is very quiet and peaceful and is a perfect location for a relaxing vacation to commune with nature and recharge the spirit.

My husband and I love Alligator Point and decided to purchase it to be closer to our kids who live in Tallahassee. We live in New Smyrna Beach, Florida; however, the beach and river there are overcrowded and want a quiet place to relax, dive, fish and most importantly to be close to the kids and grandkids. I have been a real estate broker for 30 plus years and an accommodator as well. My husband is a retired law enforcement officer and a Brigade Command Sergeant Major with the Florida Army National Guard. This is our third vacation rental home and pride ourselves on the eighty-five-star reviews we earned over the years. Thank you for choosing Sachs’ Sea Shack and hope you enjoy your stay!!!
