Clean and Comfortable

The house was well-appointed, clean and close by to shopping and activities. Communication with the host was great, and they were very accommodating with early check-in, and responsive to any questions. Definitely would stay again.

First family getaway

Worked perfectly for us. Bass club with 9 people. One item of note: the beds are not bunk beds but trundle beds. Worked ok but we had to pull them out and set them up in the rec room rather than being true bunk beds. I suspect this is because VRBO does not have a category for trundle. Beds were fine though - comfortable mattresses etc.

Comfortable house in the country

We evacuated during Hurricane Helene to Alabama. This house was really clean and met our needs. The kitchen is large and well equipped. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. Pet friendly fenced in back yard. Close enough to town to get groceries easily. Super friendly people.

Great property

This property was perfect for 4 adults and 2 children (ages 11 & 8) and even our dogs. The property was even better than described! It was very clean upon arrival and the owner was very responsive to our questions. The home was great as the game room was on one end of the house and allowed the kids to have tgeir own space within ear shot of tge adults! The dogs loved the back yard and enjoyed the view of cattle! Great location within minutes of Decatur which had shopping and a fantastic musuem. Huntsville is an easy 45 minute drive also. I would highly reccomend this property for anyone looking a great place to stay!home

Country Chic Stay

We arrived after dark but the checkin instructions were simple. We were pleasantly surprised with the roominess of the property and the layout of the rooms was perfect for our group of 9 adults for privacy. The game room was perfect for tension release after a long day of recording an album. There were a few issues that were addressed with the property owner but it was nothing that would keep us from rebooking with this company. We appreciated the quick responses! All in all a very pleasant stay!

Issues with cleanliness, but rectified

The property is as advertised and is in a nice quiet location away from busy areas, which worked for us. Plenty of parking as well. The property is pet-friendly, which we had not noticed b/c we were not bringing pets. We encountered an absolute TON of dog fur, even some trundle beds that apparently dogs had slept on and the sheets on the trundles were not changed, and the rug in that room was not vacuumed in any way. We had to wash sheets ourselves and vacuum (which we chose to do after the vacuum was delivered to us). Other vacuuming was needed (fur under kitchen table, coffee table, etc), and there was also other dirty places (back glass door with muddy paw prints & "nose" prints all over it) that the cleaning team had not aptly cleaned. We requested a vacuum and the host did agree to address the problem with the team and refund our cleaning fee. Because I trust they will do what they said, I would consider staying here again, but based on our experience alone, I would not. It's a nicely renovated, very spacious home with a cool setup, and nice location, so I still gave 3 stars. We also did not care for the bed in the master (king), it is VERY noisy so if you are a light sleeper, that's a problem, and to us, it was too firm and uncomfortable as well. None of our other guests had issues with beds. If they find a new cleaning team and change out the bed frame/base/whatever is so noisy, then it would be a 5star property.
