This house is beautiful! The description does not do it justice - there are very fun things to discover upon arrival! There is lots of space (rooms) and is very quiet. The kitchen is fairly well equipped with dishes, pots and pans, eating and cooking utensils. The beds are comfortable. We played lots of games, put together 5 puzzles, threw a lot of rocks on the ice, played ping pong and pool. You do need to supply your own bath towels, and I brought extra dishtowels and hotpad holders. There was plenty of dish and hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper. The fireplace was perfect for the chilly weather. We had a really great familiy weekend!
We loved our stay here -the house was fantastic for a family reunion!! It had all the amenities you want and need -even if you get stuck inside on a rainy day. We rented a pontoon boat for the week and that was perfect. I highly recommend this property. We’ll be back!

Thank you, Marsha! We're so glad to hear the cabin worked out so well for your family reunion, even with a rainy day or two. Renting a pontoon for the week sounds like a great idea! We appreciate the recommendation and look forward to having you back!

This property is gorgeous and beautifully maintained. We enjoyed having 2 docks since we had rented pontoon and fishing boat. Lake view stunning and beach was pristine perfect for grandkids to play and swim. We will definitely come here again.

This is a lovely place. We enjoyed boating, cookouts, campfires, fishing, and all the things you would expect to do in northern Wisconsin.
The problem we encountered is that the owners have given no thought to handicapped people. There are no railings on the steps outdoors, and the bathrooms are horrible for anyone with mobility problems. There is a huge tub, but all the showers are as small as possible, with no grab bars anywhere.
Also, the ‘Welcome book” was hidden in one of the drawers in the dining room table.....very annoying. Also, the only TV on the main floor was broken, and no attempt was made to replace it. So if you wanted to watch TV, you had to climb a flight of stairs.

Hi Mary,
I really try and take most of these reviews and find ways to improve our guests experiences but I'm really disappointed in your review. This home is not listed anywhere as handicap friendly for people with mobility problems. We don't advertise it that way and never have. With that said, most of our older guests find this home easy to use and get around in. It is on a flat lot with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms on the main floor. There is a gentle slope to the water from the house and there are not a bunch of stairs to climb down to the lake like most cabins in the area.
As far as the TV goes, the TV your referring to is not in our pictures or listed on our site either. When you called about the TV we sent someone all the way out to help you turn the TV on. This home has an amazing TV room on the second level with movie theater style seating and everything in that room works perfectly. This is a very high end home and one of the nicest rentals in the area.
We recently stayed here with our 3 adult children, their spouses and 5 grandchildren. The layout with 5 bedrooms on the main floor each with a bathroom and an enormous kids “bunk room” upstairs made this the absolute perfect place for our family vacation. This lake home is huge-from the minute you walk up to the front door you are aware of the scale with high ceilings, doors and spacious rooms. There is a sound system throughout the entire home as well as the patio and outside area. There are various thermostat zones for comfort. There is a large game room downstairs with pool, ping pong, foosball and video games. The boat house has a canoe and kayak for your use. The landscape is impeccably kept. You get the feeling that this home was very special when it was built. Also, our property management representative, Sarah, was extremely responsive and helpful. We were able to rent a pontoon and jet ski for the week and enjoyed the beautiful Chippewa Flowage-only a small part of it. The views were so beautiful from the soaring living room windows and the master bedroom windows and doors that opened to the patio. There are a few things to know as you approach your stay. Bed linens were great but you need to bring ALL your own towels. Kitchen appliances are top line, cupboards and pots and pans could use a little more care. There are tons of nice dishes. TVs didn’t work but Sarah fixed that. Over all, I would strongly recommend.
Super location on the Chippewa flowage with a bit of sandy beach for the kids to play on. Plenty of room to dock your pontoon boat at the docks. Great fishing on the flowage as well! Also, we didn’t notice too much boat traffic even on a busy day. The house itself has ample room for a large group of people. We had 10 in our group and there is definitely enough beds/bedrooms and bathrooms. Every bedroom has a bathroom/shower and that was great! Very nice kitchen which is well stocked with dishes and tableware that you need. Gas grill on a concrete patio that has a view of the lake. Nice wood burning fireplace that was so relaxing to sit by at night. There’s tons of games for the kids, pool table, foosball table, books, etc. Onsite washer and dryer to use, but make sure you bring your own bath towels/beach towels to use because those are not provided. But, I will say that’s not a big deal in my opinion because I prefer my own towels anyway. Overall, a great property to stay at and we’d definitely stay again!
Awesome. This would be one word to describe this house and property. It checked off all the boxes for us. Ages 4 to 69 and it met all our needs and then some. Swimming area, check. Canoe and kayaks, check. Power at the dock for charging boat batteries, check. Game room, check. Good kitchen, check. Lots of bathrooms, check. Deck area just outside the house towards the lake you could watch the kids swimming, check. Fire pit, check. Ice cream for kids a short walk away, check. Garage, check. Boat house, check. Great location on the Chippewa Flowage, check. All in all, fantastic for us, check.
The cabin was exactly what we needed for our extended family vacation. We have been visiting the Hayward area for many years and there are not many places in the area that can accommodate our large group. Everyone had their own room and bathroom and the common spaces were large enough to accommodate all 15 of us. We spent most of our time on the patio playing cards, or on the water skiing and tubing. The kids loved the beach area next to the dock. We also made good use of the kayaks and canoe. The basement game room provided great entertainment when we wanted to escape the heat, as well as the sweet movie room. We had a minor issue with the kitchen sink disposal, which was fixed promptly, and the front door latch/handle was a little sticky. Overall the place was fantastic. Definitely would recommend for families or larger groups.
