The Straightaway Cafe at the bottom of the road is your go-to for great food and live music. Enjoy the great shops and food in downtown Black Mountain, Southern Living’s Best Mountain Towns, an 18 min drive. Explore Asheville's vibrant galleries, tasty breweries, and famous Biltmore Estate within 30 mins.

The 1.5 mile gravel road up to the escape, though occasionally steep, is well-maintained. In snowy months, AWD or 4WD is wise.

Our recently renovated haven warmly welcomes dogs. Please let us know what breed and how many dogs you'd like to bring; additional cleaning fee applies to multiple dogs. Due to severe owner allergy, Moonlight does not allow cats.
