The house was comfortable and roomy for our 8-11 guests that fluctuated during our stay. The kitchen was well equipped, the location easy and plenty of space for people to find a place to read, chat or enjoy the breeze. Back porch could use some screen help - no-see-ums were a bit pesky! Only confusion was no one gave us the gate code to the pool and I had to call around to find someone to help us. I also wish that you had told me that an outside outfitter would be contacting me regarding beach gear. I received emails but they read like a sales pitch so I didn't realize it was connected to the house. Just a quick welcome email with some details like gear, codes etc would be helpful. Overall we had a great stay.
I have rented many beach houses and never had this many issues. Renovations should be done. The AC on one side of house went out two different times, the tv’s in the house were not working for most of our stay, the swimming pool was a mess upon arrival, the pool filter and fountain never turned on, screens were loose on the screened porch and the fan never worked, furniture on the porch was very old and one seat had ripped cushions, game room had an old pool table ( I was told that they bought a new one), pots and pans in the kitchen were old and rusty, the floor of the outside porch was rotted out in certain spots, I reported this house to VRBO and there is a case #. I could list other things but I think that you will understand the condition of this rental. The location was fine and I loved St. George Island! I just wish that I had rented a nicer home for the money that I paid. I would NOT recommend “Seabatical” on St. George Island, Fl.

During your one-week stay, we sent a handyman to repair the tub that was damaged on the first day of your visit. We understand that accidents happen. The pool company services the pool twice a week, and the filter was confirmed to be running fine by the pool professionals. We also arranged for trash relief, even though the trash company collected the trash the following morning, because you did not want to deal with the previous renters' trash.
Your mother reported the first A/C issue on Tuesday night at 9:16 PM. I responded promptly at 9:20 PM, asking for details and a picture of the thermostat to troubleshoot the problem, which is standard practice. I wasn’t trying to be rude; sometimes a simple fix can save the homeowner a service fee. She sent a picture showing the thermostat set to 80 degrees. I asked her to check everything on her side, and when she confirmed that she had done so, I arranged for someone to come out as soon as possible.
At 9:32 PM, I started calling four local companies, and the earliest anyone could come was first thing in the morning. I informed Linda and provided three options: setting the other side of the house to 67 degrees to cool the master side, bringing in portable cooling fans, or moving to another house free of charge. She declined these options
Had you reported any other issue we would have sent someone to you immediately as we did the other issues you reported. We also gave you a refund. npbody before or after you had issues
