This cottage was perfect in every way! Quality linens, dishes, appliances, and attention to detail. We enjoyed our stay with our grandkids. Caught trout off the dock, and played games til the early morning hours. We will certainly be back to this little slice of heaven on the Watauga river.
'The Trout House' was a marvelous oasis in Carter County. My family was visiting for a short and stressful period of time, and this home provided just the comfort we needed during that dark time. The property was very clean, no weird smells or anything that would deter you from feeling comfortable and at home. The short walk to the private deck on the river was absolutely perfect to enjoy a cup of tea and read a good book. Next time we are in town we will have to try fishing off of the dock. I absolutely would recommend this property, and the host was 10/10 as well- very quick to respond and very gracious. You won't regret staying here! :)

About the host
Hosted by Old Pine Property Management Company LLC
I grew up in Virginia but have called Elizabethton home with my husband Zac for about 12 years now. I can't imagine living anywhere else. We love our quaint town that also has so much to do both in town and nearby! Our family loves hiking and going on drives in our area in east Tennessee and western North Carolina. We've been hosting guests here for about 2.5 years now and are excited to have our VRBO page back up!
Why they chose this property
