This family owned "Cottage Home" has everything you need for you to enjoy a wonderful beach vacation, charm, provisions, comfy beds, and a relaxing beach vibe. It has been furnished with love and care by the owners and the management prides itself on service to each renter. Come and enjoy our Southern Hospitality in this "Isle of Palms original" that will take you back to the days before Hurricane Hugo. Originally built in 1968, it is a wonderful example of what a simpler life was like on the island back before tourism, Hurricane Hugo, and the IOP Connector. This lovely home has undergone numerous updates and additions over the years and will be a great spot for rest and relaxation! Set on a large .35 acre lot just four easy blocks to the ocean and one block from the IOP Recreation Department playground and park, this house is perfect for families. The spacious screened porch and varied sleeping arrangements make it a wonderful place for friends to gather. The charm and coziness of this house makes it ideal for a romantic beach getaway. The interior of this home is 1020 sq ft - it is small inside but the use of space is sensible and efficient. The added 16x20 screened outdoor porch provides lots of extra space and seating for gathering. The kitchen and living spaces are open to each other. The master bedroom features a queen bed and plenty of closet/storage space, and a TV and DVD player. Attached is a full bath with a shower only. The second bedroom has two twin beds with a TV and DVD player. There is a day bed in the small laundry room area which also has an entry door with a deadbolt. Queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. The full bath is in the hallway for easy access by everyone in your party and features a beautifully refurbished antique claw foot tub . The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and the living room is charming and comfortable. AND.... a private outdoor shower for rinsing the sand and salt away. Beach cart, two beach chairs, misc beach toys are available for guest use. Spend your days on the beach or in nearby Historic Charleston and your nights on the screened in patio enjoying dining, drinks, or just listening to the roar of the ocean. Guests may also enjoy sitting around the fire pit listening to music or enjoying conversation. 5 beach chairs are included for renter's use. This is the house you've been looking for.

We had an excellent stay at this cottage on Isle of Palm. Excellent communication from our host and the cottage had everything we needed. Quiet area, great for walking and biking around the island. We biked on the beach and also rode over to Sullivan's Island to the Fort. Well equipped kitchen. Everything was spotless. The decor was upbeat and perfect for the cottage. Highly recommend and will stay again. Thank you!

Myself and 4 of my friends stayed for Labor Day weekend and we loved the charming cottage. We loved spending time on the screened in porch and in the living room together. The location was excellent to the beach and restaurants.

A Cute House That Has All You Need

This house was the perfect set up for my family of six. We were on a visit for travel baseball and this house allowed us to have the best of both worlds. We got to enjoy the beach on down time from ballgames. The location was super convenient. I was very impressed with how well stocked the house was from kitchen utensils to bathroom soap. Overall very pleased and will keep in mind for future trips.

What a wonderful place to spend the weekend with my cousins attending the Bob Seger concert in Charleston. Perfect location, close to the beach and Charleston. Short, cheap Uber rides to every location. This cottage is spotless. We had plenty of room for the 3 of us. The screened porch is perfect for morning coffee, and not to bother other that slept in, and for evening drinks. This cottage would be great for families too. City park at the end of the street. We loved the decor. On a quiet street, hardly saw any cars.

Cute little beach cottage

The house is in a great neighborhood, and a short 4 block walk to the beach.There is also a local playground 1 block away. We visited in early August when it was very hot, and the air conditioning worked very well to keep the house cool. The outdoor shower was VERY handy in getting all the sand off of us, as well as our items. The owner also provided a beach cady which helped with the 4 block walk. There is a distinct old beachy smell to the house. It isn't a bad smell, just something to call out. We would 100% stay at this location again.

Very sweet cottage close to the beach

We got off to a shaky start when the lockbox with the key in it wouldn't open but Graeme was very responsive and sent her FIL with keys. I agree with an early review commenting about the mattress firmness but would rather had new firm beds than gross old soft ones. The majority of the time it was just my teenage daughters and I and it was perfect for the 3 of us. The screened porch was lovely and we enjoyed cooler mornings out there with coffee. We rented bikes so it was a cinch biking to the beach everyday. Overall it was very cozy and clean. Loved the fully equipped kitchen, didn't need anything but food. The only suggestion is replacing the couch, otherwise we absolutely loved it!!!

Nice Little Beach Cottage

This little cottage was a nice place to stay and enjoy the area. I arrived from Asheville the day Hurricane Helene blew in. This changed the trip a lot for me, as you can imagine. In IOP, we lost power at the house for about a day. The Internet went out and never came back on. I called the property manager on Friday evening, and she returned my call around lunch on Saturday. She made sure to communicate that they had a lot of homes to oversee that day, and if it was the Internet provider, there was nothing they could do. The handyman came by soon after that, looked at it, and told us there was nothing he could do. Something really did not sit right with me. First, the property managers never sent a text to check on storm damage or safety. I ended up clearing up large branches. They also didn't text any updates on the power or follow up about the Internet. The Internet was out from Thurs eve and never came back on. The other thing I want to mention is the bedding. The sheets and pillows have much to be desired. The mattress - or mattress pad - is also lumpy. I wouldn't stay here again due to the bedding and managers. That said, my situation was unique. This is a nice place to stay, all told.

This is a great property! We would stay here again. Loved the location and the house was the perfect size for what we needed. And I cannot say enough good things about the property manager! We had issues with the AC during our stay and she was responsive, attentive and determined to make the inconvenience up to us. I want her to manage all properties we stay at! Highly recommend.

The beach cottage was just as described in the listing! It was adorable, spatial, and cozy! Our family of five loved the amenities including the large yard, beach toys, closeness to the beach, and large screened porch. It was refreshing to stay in a traditional beach cottage. We loved Isle of Palms and being so close to the Charleston sites. We will definitely come back!

Coastal serenity

We were in town for a family wedding with events to attend every day. It was wonderful to come back in the evening to this beautifully appointed cottage. From the decor to the location, this was the perfect choice for our stay. We were close to everything and yet the house is located in a quiet lovely neighborhood . Perfect casual beach cottage

We wanted a calm, quiet, no-frills or silliness beach vacation to visit with old friends and introduce our son to the ocean. This place was perfect! Exceptionally located, near the beach and closer to an amazing park, with the IOP connector a 3-minute drive away, this property really fit the bill. The screened porch and outdoor shower were key to a great spring beach vacation, as was “the Shed”. We would definitely rent this property again!
