Great location, close to distilleries. House was nice for a wknd getaway with 2 couples. A few things could use a little upgrading in kitchen and pillows. But was nice little place and would go back,
This property is exactly as advertised on the site. It was clean and convenient to the amenities of the Frankfort, KY region!
The hosts were easy to communicate with via the app and everything went perfectly. A big shout out to our hosts!
We will stay here again next time we’re in town!
Situated in a little side street near capitol. Beautifully decorated, clean, and convenient.

Not great
The home smelled like mildew and was very humid. The ac was not working. The beds had dirty linens. When the toilet is flushed, the plumbing makes a squealing noise. Im guessing its because the pipes are old. The grass was not cut. Does not seem maintained well. The parking situation is not good, the neighbor seems pretty upset about people parking in front of his house. On the positive side, the owner was quick to respond to my complaints and did issue a refund for the night.
The home was great! It was 2 adult couples who stayed and it was perfect for us for one night in Frankfort. Appreciate how easy it was to check out. We enjoyed the coffee perks! Thanks! We'll be back!!
Overall our stay was good. The location was great and only a few blocks walk from the capitol building and a short drive from the older downtown area. Also it was very easy to get around to other sights in the area.
The cottage itself was generally pretty comfy and clean. Some of the kitchen cabinets weren't great and dishes had been put away wet (and were still wet) but overall we felt comfortable.
The one thing to note is the check-in instructions sent mentioned pictures helping to explain the parking locations were available on the listing's check-in information but there is nothing in the check-in information on Vrbo. We figured it out by just parking where we saw others parking and it was fine so we didn't reach out to the hosts. But it would have been helpful to have a printout of the relevant info in the information book in the property at least (as the only info in there on parking also mentioned looking at the listing information online which wasn't helpful).
Inside the cottage was neat, clean and looked like the photos in the listing. The only issue we had with Inside the cottage was the lack of Privacy due to the blinds on the front door and door at the front bedroom. I was in the living room and thought the porch light was on. I went to turn off the front porch light and it was off. The light was coming from the front bedroom lights. I was literally able to watch my boyfriend in-between the blind and window of the bedroom door leading outside. He would have never known if a stranger was watching from outside. I also could do the same looking into living room from the front porch at night. Since the cottage is so close to other residence, we were not comfortable. The outside was not like the photos of the outside in the listing and very disappointed. The grass was very high and two outside garbage cans had not been emptied in quiet some time. The grass was extremely high in the back lawn-patio area. Grass and weeds were so high that I did not see the pathway from the porch to the patio area and I turned my ankle on the pathway brick border. I did contact the owner on VRBO and asked how long it had been since the owner had been to the unit. The owner did not want photos of proof and stated that due to storms & weather, they were behind. I honestly do not believe the reason why because the mailbox was over flowing with mail. I gave this review with details and candor.
This property is in a very convenient location in a quaint old neighborhood that was safe and quiet. The best part of the property is the large living room. We also enjoyed eating at the kitchen table. We used the washer and dryer and they worked fine. We always enjoy sitting outside and we grill often- so I intentionally chose this property based on the yard, fire pit, and grill. I needed to ask the owner to replace the grill (it was broken when we arrived) and the grass needed to be cut- and the owner had these issues taken care of the very next day. We stayed 4 nights as we visited multiple spots on the bourbon trail, and this house is a great location for doing so. There were always several cats out near the road- which didn’t matter to us- but could be an issue for those with allergies. The water pressure was adequate in the shower.
A cozy cottage nestled in the mountain that felt like home away from home.

Very strong bad smell when we arrived. We tried to make the best of it but there was mold in the bathroom and it was very dirty. We decided to leave after the first night.
The property was nice for what we paid. Parking is limited to the front or around the corner. The space, furnishings and appliances were good for what we were wanting and was nice for our stay. The property manager went and bought a wood burning grill as one shown in pictures was no longer there. We enjoyed our stay at this property.
Lovely home which is bigger than it looks from the outside! Very nicely appointed and clean. Great host communication.Being so close to the capitol and the downtown was wonderful. Will definitely stay here again!

The house was decorated very nicely. We experienced a very strong odor upon entering and everything felt wet. We, unfortunately decided not to stay and drove the 10 hours home after being in the house for 30 minutes, as the odor did not dissipate at all.

AC needs to be upgraded
The floors were quite dirty and the AC never worked properly making nights miserable. The washer/dryer was a huge plus. The location was perfect for what we needed. No steps was also great. Lots of towels and basic household products made things easier.
We had a short 2 night getaway. We love Frankfort and the rental did not disappoint. Hope to return soon

The surrounding property is low income but we met several of the elderly neighbors one was actually Santa Claus. I went out early on a Saturday morning to see an elderly man with his bright red trousers with big fuzzy white cuffs feeding his cat. He was getting dressed to play Santa Claus on the Santa train in nearby Versailles, Kentucky. The house is old but extremely clean with comfortable beds and well supplied kitchen. There’s a nearby bakery the outstanding in very easy walking distance. The Kentucky State Capitol is only a two blocks away. Parking was was a little concern when we arrived but never a problem. The nice neighbor whose home we parked in front of just asked we not park on the sidewalk or block his access.
