It was not well cleaned. There were cobwebs everywhere. Hot tub was well taken care of and the host answered all questions I had. There were lots of holes, and cracks in the walls and the shower on the main level had a crack in it up near the top. We took lots of pictures so we wouldn’t be charged. It was a okay place it worked for what we needed it for. We a little love and care it could be really nice. There are a lot of rules and you have a chance of getting fined 150 for numerous things if you don’t follow all of their rules.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay despite cold and rainy April weather but I can imagine this would be a great family spot in summer. The host responded to all questions immediately and was kind enough to arrange delivery of items we left behind!

The property itself is a good value for the price. The kitchen is well stocked and the hot tub is older, but serves its purpose. The basement is old and damp, but passable for a basement. The main challenge is the check-in process. The host doesn't send the check-in door unlock code or wifi password until the moment of check-in, but the property is located in an area without cell service making it difficult to access the message if you arrive on-time. The community is nice and the location of the property is well-secluded in the back of the community which reduces traffic out front, but takes a significant amount of time to go anywhere. Overall a good stay.

We had an amazing week at this mountain house over New Year's with our family. The house is beautiful, clean, and incredibly comfortable, providing a perfect hideout in the mountains. The community around the house is wonderful, with plenty of facilities that the kids and family enjoyed. The host was always attentive, quick to respond to our messages, and incredibly kind, making our stay even more special. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Perfect location for long weekend getaway.

We enjoyed ourselves very much. Once we were at house, very easy to come in and out of Hideout. All the comforts of home and felt at home!

First who stayed….Our two daughters along with their husbands and our two grandchildren stayed with us… and our 20lb French bulldog puppy and our daughters lab puppy. Will start with the positives, the place was clean! Well appointed with just about any utensils you could think of and decent cookware. Toaster over worked great as did the Keurig and microwave. The hot tub worked well too! The linens were all clean and in good order. The bedding was mostly comfortable and the location was quiet. The pool and lake beach is great. The Tiki Bar looked great as well. Didn’t get a chance to go though. We did rent a boat at Wallenpaupack lake nearby. The directions and information provided by Justin was good although very last minute on the access code to get into the house. The house has potential. Now the not so great….getting around this massive community takes as bit to get used to. 25mph speed limit, multiple gates to go through and a ton of rules… and I mean a lot. It was enough to take away from the experience a bit. The house… again has potential but it needs lots of work. The siding, the rear deck, the spouting, dirty walls, uneven floors and the house has settled quite a bit on one side. The furniture is uncomfortable and the pictures make the place seem bright and big…. Both are not accurate. Access to the hot tub is not the greatest. continuous issues with outlets in the kitchen and exterior rear deck. If they paid attention to details the place could be very nice.

Start to a New Year!!

Had a great time with family and friends. Just as the pictures showed no surprises. Had a hot tub issue first night we arrived but host had a technician there with in 3hours and had it back up and running!! Great location and lots of kitchen cookware!!

Great Location, but...

The property is conveniently located to community amenities on the North Side of the Hideout (golf, tennis, ping-pong, pool, clubhouse restaurant). All that is within a walking distance from the house. House has plenty of potential but has been left to run down with age and disrepair. The pictures hardly represent it. It is rather dingy, dark, tight to move around in and generally only undrwent a cosmetic repair. The bathrooms need some revamping and repair - very unpleasant. The bedrooms have nice mattresses but the closets are half broken. The furniture is a bit unstable, looks ok but not very comfortable or clean. Check in is very late (5pm) which makes you miss a lot of the daytime activities in the community. It was ok but nothing to write home about.
