This historic farmhouse is tucked away in a rural settings but just 2 miles from the Virginia Tech campus and 3 miles to downtown Blacksburg. Three spacious bedrooms provide ample space for your stay - two king bed rooms upstairs, and a queen Murphy bed downstairs. Two large, full bathrooms and a jacuzzi tub with a view upstairs. With gorgeous mountain and sunset views from windows and three outdoor patio areas, you’re steps away from walking trails at Heritage Park, and biking and walking trails along the Huckleberry Trail and Macdonald Hollow and Poverty Creek trail systems. Enjoy live music, craft beer and table-on-farm dining next door at Rising Silo Brewery, and pick up fresh, local products and meats at Glade Road Growing farm.

I cannot say enough nice things about this property. This beautiful farmhouse retains its original charm with modern conveniences added. The location is wonderful. We started our days having coffee on the patio, surrounded by the fragrance of lilacs just about to bloom. We took in the beautiful scenery, watching the morning mist settle between the hills. Jessica could not have been more communicative or accommodating. She was very responsive to my messages and was a fabulous host. Five stars, highly recommend, and we look forward to returning.

I was looking for a place large enough for several family members plus a nice size kitchen for Easter dinner. I found this place and everyone loved it. It’s in a great location - close to VT but feels like it is in the middle of nowhere. There is a brew pub next door and we never heard any sound from it while inside even though a band was playing Saturday night. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a traditional Easter dinner. Having a bedroom and bath downstairs was great for my mom. All the bedrooms were large and the beds were comfortable. The owners were very responsive to questions. We’ll definitely be back.

Beautiful views - lots of space and perfect for a getaway

We were visiting our daughter at tech - less than 10 minutes from campus and a 2 minute walk to a cool brewery. Beds were comfortable and lots of room to visit. Would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay

This farmhouse is beautiful with lots of charachter. The house was very clean and the property manager was very responsive and also left some little extras in the house for us which was great. The brewery nextdoor was also really nice with good beer and food and lots of outdoor seating. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Blacksburg Getaway

We had a small group get together in Blacksburg for a football game and to celebrate our son’s birthday. It was nice having a comfortable and beautifully restored farmhouse to relax in during the off time. The hosts had everything we needed at the house and the location is great near the brewery. We would definitely stay here again!

Our family of 4 were in town for a couple days for a college tour of VT. This sweet farmhouse was perfect for us. It was super close to campus, next door to a cool brewery and had lots of outdoor seating and a firepit. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. We LOVED the "old-timey" (my kids words, not mine) radio in the living room that worked perfectly. The kids also loved the TV that looked like a painting when it wasn't in use. The kitchen was fully stocked and the host graciously left us coffee grounds from a local beanery. Overall, the farmhouse was extremely welcoming. We felt right at home from the moment we pulled into the driveway. This is one of those places that selfishly you want to keep to yourself so word doesn't get out about how great it is and is then always booked! Thank you for sharing your home with us. Cute story: my husband and I walked next door to the brewery to grab a beer and sit outside. We had been there for about 10 minutes when one of the employees came out to tell us that a storm was rolling in and we should probably come inside. We told him we were staying next door and asked if we could take our beers home with us. No problem! These guys are good neighbors! We simply returned the beer glasses the next morning. :)

Peace and Quiet

Location, Function, and Charm!

We visit Blacksburg often. This property is incredible. Just the right amount of upgrades to be functional without losing the appeal of the old farmhouse. Everything worked properly, and the house was perfectly clean. The owners were easy to contact, responsive, and wonderful to work with.

Beautiful and Relaxing

The hosts included thoughtful touches, such as the bath bomb that my wife enjoyed for a soak in the large tub. The location itself is beautiful and I loved gazing out of the kitchen windows to the mountains while sipping my coffee in the morning. My friends and I will definitely try to book this house again when were back in town.

Great Weekend Get-Away

The Farmhouse was comfortable, a great location to downtown Blacksburg/VT, easy access to running/hiking paths through the rolling hills of Blacksburg literally across the street, and next door to a small craft brewery/farm. It was a perfect place to stay for the weekend with the family to celebrate birthdays, visit with daughter attending VT, and to take in a basketball game between the "Queens of the Cassell" and UNC. We will be back!

Perfect place to stay for VT move in. Nice to be on the farm to decompress in between busy activities. House is a nice blend of old and new. So close to campus, but feels away from it all

Adorable farmhouse with lots of “step back in time touches” and modern day amenities too. Gorgeous setting surrounded by farm land. Farm stand and excellent brewery, with great food and drinks, right next door. A park with trails across the street. All just over 2 miles from downtown Blacksburg and VT campus. Look forward to returning!
