Home is right on a lovely, clean lake. Sandy area for kids, a variety of water craft plus a boat that can be rented. Indoor pool and hot tub was a hit with all , 7 to 70! Plenty of space to spread out. Good size kitchen area facing lake. Pleasant, helpful hosts that live right upstairs in their own unit. We hope to have the opportunity to rent again from them.
Absolutely lovely. The hosts are wonderful, the house is organized, clean and beautiful. We had so many wonderful experiences here, we can’t wait to go back.
Just so much to do here! We thoroughly enjoyed our time, either staying busy at the house or simply relaxing. It was a great 3-night getaway with grad school friends.

We had a great time at this property! The layout was nice, and you can't beat the amenities. The top deck had me nervous with little kids, but mostly we just kept them away from it. The hosts were wonderful and made us feel very comfortable.
Kitchen was large and great for hanging out in. I loved that all the cabinets were labeled! Lots of activities available at this house. Maybe missed in the description that the owners were also going to be in the house? That was sort of a suprise but they were upstairs the whole time and we had the sprawling lower level. Hosts were extremely kind and very accommodating! Will definitely come back again.
Ideal setup for an active family. Amazing number of amenities including indoor pool and hot tub, indoor game room with basketball, air hockey, pool, pickleball, etc. Lots of kayaks, paddleboards, pedal boats and more. Our favorite was a Hobie board which is kind of a combination paddleboard and exercise machine.
The hosts were very helpful and inviting. The lake was clean and quiet especially for an all-sports lake on a holiday weekend. We will definitely consider coming back next summer.
We just spent a long weekend (Thursday-Sunday) at this amazing house and had the very best time. The teens had a blast on the kayaks and fishing was very fun too (brought our own gear). The indoor basketball court was a hit and the indoor pool, hot tub and sauna area was absolutely perfect! The house had everything plus!! Everything was super clean! Jerry & Meagan were so sweet. They greeted us, gave a quick tour and were happy to respond to any questions we had. Meagan was also very sweet and took our family picture before we left and was overly kind to mail our daughter’s left-behind sweatshirt. Definitely recommend for any family to have a great time together on the lake!
This was a stop by on our trip to a nearby weekend festival. The host and hostess couldn’t have been nicer. Very attentive, but not seen unless something was needed.
This place deserves to be a spa. Clean is the first thing you are going to notice.
It has a pool, a Jacuzzi, Sauna, indoor gym, weight room and a great looking beach area. It was too cold for us to go on the kayaks or hang out at the beach. During our short stay, there was more than enough to do indoors that we didn’t want to leave.
I’m sure that we’re going to return and stay here again for longer during the summer.
Thanks so much for a great stay.
This property is more like a luxury spa than a rental
The hosts were great! They were accessible, available and very accommodating. Firstly the property is clean, well lit with quality linens and towels. The kitchen is well stocked with large modern appliances with more than enough room for everyone to cook and dine. Both the kitchen/dinning room and living area are overlooking the lake. For cooking out there is a nice gas grill on the walkout deck overlooking the lake. (By the way, the grill was clean and ready to go.)
You should consider several day to stay if you want to take advantage of all this place has to offer. The pool, whirlpool, and sauna are located in a large attached atrium with plenty of room to lounge with the whole family without feeling crowded. (Frankly it’s better than most hotel’s facilities.)
The gym and weight room are top shelf. Play basketball or workout it has it all!
We are planning a longer stay this summer to take advantage of the deck, dock and water toys. I did get a look at the pontoon boat that some guy has for rent to guests. Beautiful boat and I understand it’s only a year old!
I’m coming back for a longer stay and can’t recommend this place highly enough.
Ok, please read entire review before booking: House, pool, lake, gym, and hosts are all fantastic. Please note this house is NOT private and it is not listed anywhere in the description. Hosts live upstairs in an apparmtnet. (not a problem they are lovely people) The problem is guests and hosts share an entrance and hallway, you can lock the main house and two of the bedrooms from this hallway (from the inside only) but the third room's entrance (great lakes room) is out in that hallway. So if you lock the main living area you cannot acess anything if you are in the great lakes room (including bathrooms). Secondly there is no keypad to lock your rental area from the shared hallway when you are out and about. Hosts also repeatedly left the main enterance door unlocked. With that being said I am still giving 5\5 stars. I don't wish to hurt their rating, the house is incredible, TONS of things to do, and the hosts are wonderful people, but if I could ask one thing I would ask that the listing be updated to properly disclose that it is not private (per VRBO rules.)The gym is incredible. TONS of things to do. The pool was a lot of fun, and there are a bunch of beach/lake items you can use. Other than the surpise that it is not a private/whole house rental, it is an absolutely great place to stay.

Casey,
Thanks for the great review. I will discuss the VRBO description with my partners and figure out more accurate description that house owners live on premises.
Thank you also for being great guests!
Enjoy the Fall,
Jerry
My wife and I stayed for a weekend. Jerry and Cogan were excellent hosts. Cogan gave us a tour of the place and made sure we knew where everything was located. Beautiful large lake home out in the country on Crooked Lake. Easy 5-10 minute drive to local eateries (we recommend NEDS on Gull Lake - great pizza and subs and online ordering!).The home was very clean, updated, and cozy. It would make a great week-long vacation spot to bring your family and friends for the summer to enjoy the lake (or a getaway without the kids). This is a very well taken care of property and they do an excellent job of making sure it's a great experience for guests. We loved how they had a lot of labels to let you know what was in the cabinets in the kitchen and information for other places throughout the home. Very thoughtful! The lake is massive. It's still early in the season, so not many people out with their boats yet, but still plenty of room to be on the water and seemed very peaceful and quiet. We took the row boat out on the lake and went around the island in the middle. It was a fun adventure! This home has everything you would want and more to be entertained on the lake! From lots of water toys (kayaks, paddle boat, row boat, and more), life vests, with a nice seashell beach front and plenty of outdoor decks to enjoy the views. A large heated indoor pool with lights, hot tub, sauna, exercise room, and even a gym with basketball hoops, air hockey, pool table, and more!
This was a great place to spend a few days with family - close enough that even our grown kids with jobs/school were able to make it out for at least part of the trip, and so much to do you could never get bored. We loved that there were so many kayaks and other fun watercraft to take around the lake so we could all explore together. Everything is SUPER clean and well-labeled. We were a little surprised that the owner lives right upstairs despite the listing being labeled "entire home," but no one was home during the time we were there and we'd have had no regrets even if they were (despite being really private people). The place is really wonderful, thanks for a great stay!!
