Lower Garden District, a neighbourhood in New Orleans, is home to this apartment. Port of New Orleans and Julia Street Cruise Terminal are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Mississippi River and Jackson Square. Looking to enjoy an event or a game? See what's going on at Caesars Superdome or Smoothie King Center.
Our disappointment with the overall condition of the unit, especially considering the price we paid. My wife and family were expecting a much different experience based on the listing and cost. Unfortunately, several aspects of the property did not meet reasonable standards. The couch was completely unacceptable, it was extremely worn, dirty felt-like in texture, and uncomfortable to the point that we could not even sit on it. The curtains in the bedrooms were visibly stained, which gave the rooms an unclean appearance. We also noticed rust inside the freezer, which raises concerns about maintenance and upkeep. The unit was not properly prepared before guest arrival, but these are items that should have been addressed prior to check-in. parking was a significant inconvenience. We had to drive around searching for parking rather than having a clear, reliable arrangement as expected.

First the low points: 1) the access code to the outside door didn't work. I tried another access code mentioned and it worked. 2) the access code for the apartment didn't work. texted the owner, no response. called VRBO after an hour. Just then another person called and gave us the real code. 3) the TV remote didn't work - dead batteries. The rep had someone come over the next day with batteries. 4) the internet didn't work. the rep said that it would be 2 days before the internet would work. It eventually did. 5) the smoke detector in one of the bedrooms was not installed. 6) there were wire hanging out the wall in a bedroom.Hi point: The local rep (named Alexandra) was great. She tried to solve our problems as best she could. Kudos to her.Side issue: While in NOLA, I researched lead in the tap water. NOLA is very bad for this. We ended up drinking only bottled water. I don't know if this apartment has issues, but VRBO should make sure that listed apartments have city lab certification of EPA lead levels or a functioning lead filtration system.
