A haven for puppies & owners too! Home close to Downtown Hendersonville, NC

Hendo Puppy Palace is a dog-loving home offered by dog-loving and people-loving humans. Our 3-bedroom, 2-bath home sits on 1/4 fenced-in acres, with air conditioning, and heat, and is located in a small neighborhood. The home has a well-stocked eat-in kitchen that seats 6 with appliances (dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, as well as a washer and dryer).

Other amenities include a Keurig coffee pot with pods and one coffee pot for ground coffee (only pods are provided), dishes, pots and pans, salt, pepper, paper towels, and cleaning supplies (under the sink), which make for a comfortable home away from home. There is a backyard deck with a table, seating, and a grill. The lush landscaped backyard provides a fire pit with chairs. There is off-street parking for up to 3 vehicles.

Hendo Puppy Palace has a king bed in bedroom one, a queen bed in bedroom two, and two twin beds in bedroom three. Bedroom one has a private bath with a tub and shower, and a workspace with a desk, chair, and modem connection. Bedrooms two & three share a full bath with tub and shower. Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel), toilet paper, and towels are provided. All bedrooms have Smart TVs.

The home has a spacious living room with one reclining sofa that seats three people, an electric loveseat recliner that seats two, and a regular love seat for two people and a dog. The room has a 52” Smart TV. There is high-speed wireless internet throughout the house.

For additional space to relax the home also offers a screened-in porch, which we refer to as the “Zen Den.” This is an outdoor room just outside the living room, to use after a long day of hiking, exploring, or shopping. The “Zen Den,” is furnished with an outdoor sectional, and has a ceiling fan, but does not have heating or air conditioning.

PETS PLEASE NOTE: We allow up to two (2) dogs. Please specify when making a reservation. Dogs have plenty of room to run and play outside. We are providing “dog towels,” in the kitchen over the washer and dryer, please use them for dirty paws and place them in the laundry bag when soiled. We are insisting that dogs who are left home alone be kept in the guest’s kennel (you must bring your own). No matter how well-behaved your dog may be this is a RULE that will be enforced. Any damages that result from them not being kenneled when left alone will be charged to the card on record.

Hendo Puppy Palace owners also run a doggy daycare located about 20 minutes away in Fletcher, NC. In the event guests don’t want to kennel their dogs but want some time to get away they are encouraged to look into taking their pets there for the day. If you feel this is an option, please bring all up-to-date vaccination records and proof of spay and neuter. No dogs will be permitted in the daycare without this information. Contact information is provided in the "Welcome" binder.

Hendo Puppy Palace is centrally located in the city of Hendersonville. We are 12 minutes from dog-friendly Historic Downtown Hendersonville where you will be able to indulge your palate with casual and fine dining restaurants, spoil your shopping prowess in eclectic and upscale shops, satisfy your thirst for history and knowledge when visiting our local museums, allow yourself to enjoy the sweets of your labor with helpings of ice cream, frozen yogurt, fresh bakery goods, and finally, relax and unwind with a spot of ale in one of our breweries.

Hendo Puppy Palace is also located a short drive to many of the area's favorite tourist destinations: Asheville, (30 min.), Chimney Rock State Park, (26 min.) Lake Lure, (32 min.) Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site, (16 min.)

For nature lovers and hikers we are close to: Jump Off Rock (24 min.), Bearwallow Mountain Trail, (27 min.), and Hooker Falls, Dupont State Forest, (34 min.). For those who are more adventurous: Oconaluftee Visitor Center, Smoky Mountains National Park, (1 hr. 31 min.), and Cherokee, NC, (1 hr 29 min.)

GUEST ACCESS: An electronic keypad is located at the door under the carport leading into the kitchen. A code will be provided.

PLEASE NOTE: The road leading to the house which is off the main road is flat but is on a schedule to have repair work done. Unfortunately, until the work is completed the road has several potholes, so please drive slowly.
