Perfect location

The cabin was very clean and had everything you could need. The location is perfect, it feels isolated yet it’s close to prime hiking trails and close to lake placid. This was our second time staying here and will definitely be back again.

Wonderful!

Cozy log home in a nice location convenient to Whiteface and hiking trails! We enjoyed walking down to the river along the property staircase to see the nice view. We would love to stay here again!

Log Cabin Stay

Perfect ADK experience

Great location, beautiful log home, my wife and I had a wonderful stay. On the water, near Whiteface, close to town, and very private, a great feeling on both of the back decks looking at the mountains. Immediate response from owner when contacted, can't wait to go back.

The perfect getaway

We rented this property multiple times so far and each time we get to know and love it even more. The views and overall atmosphere keep us coming back but overall the experience is always amazing. The cleanliness is something to make note of as well, the cleaning staff do a great job because each time we have rented this location it was obvious that they put a lot of time in to making the place feel clean and comfortable. Always a very high recommendation.

Classic rustic cabin design

Cabin design reminded me of a family cabin from 60 years ago. Many rustic interior design elements that added to the feel. Great location for fishing, golfing, hiking and relaxing. Owner was very responsive. Great spot for fly fishing. Would like to return.

An outstanding Adirondack experience

Definitely a home built with pride of place...the style, the quality, the location all reflect the beauty of the High Peaks. We spent the entire week within a ten-mile radius, including one day at "home". Very special!

Perfect!

This house and our stay was fantastic. We came and stayed for our wedding and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The house is nicely Decorated and tucked back in the trees on a beautiful property. After our wedding we enjoyed taking our own pictures at the end of the day down by the water and up on the balcony with gorgeous views. 10/10 everything was great and we highly recommend!

Absolutely perfect

I have been a long time user of VRBO and this location was perfect for near by points of interest and property was above and beyond what we expected. Cabin was clean and set up to accommodate every type of visitor to fine detail and the views are extraordinary. Communication was great and property has easy access and parking. I have stayed in several cabins via VRBO and I have to say that this was the best by far and exceeded in every category. Would definitely recommend and if we are ever in the area again would do this location again.

We have a great time staying in this lovely home. While it is on a secondary road, the home is set back near the river so you feel like you are in the middle of the forest and you can hear the river while lying in bed. It was cozy and the kitchen was well appointed with anything one would need for cooking. Very close to Whiteface, so it was an easy drive to the mountain. I would definitely stay again! Great Stay!

This house was every bit as beautiful as portrayed in the photos. Even better was the view from the upper deck and the sound of the Ausable River lulling us to sleep. The stairway provided easy access to the river, where fish were jumping and one was even enticed into latching onto the fly line! The owner was out of town during our stay, but we connected with the housekeeper about a minor problem--not only did she come to our rescue, but she also returned later with beer and treats for our dog!

Unbeatable views!

This cabin is exactly as advertised with amazing views from the balcony and deck and the furnishings complete the anesthetic perfectly. The owner is very responsive and check-in and out was seamless. The steps down to the river are very sturdy but might be hard for old or very young guests. At first arrival i was concerned it wouldn't be as remote as I had thought but despite being near other houses you feel completely remote in the back yard and have complete privacy. We'll be back!

Cozy, clean cabin

Nice location situated back off the road but still close enough to town and surrounding areas. Very clean interior, simple but nice decor. We enjoyed the scent too, fresh pine perhaps. The house was quiet and had beautiful views out the back and down the stairs to the river. Our only very minor complaint would be no air conditioning and the top floor does get stuffy, but the fan helps. Thank you Johnathan for providing such a nice property and we hope to visit again in the future.
