THIS PLACE!! It was the perfect location with a stunning balcony beach view. On our very first evening, we enjoyed a gorgeous sunset followed by a beautiful early morning full moon over the calm gulf waves. From the screened-in balcony EVERY morning we would see several dolphins swim past. One morning we received a special dolphin "feeding" treat! Several of them were chasing breakfast, with one slapping the water with its tail fin in the process. We were also fortunate to see a gentle giant sea cow (manatee) swimming past. We also witnessed many pelicans dive-bombing for fish as well as many osprey doing the same, before flying away with their catch. The home had ample space for my wife and I along with my and his wife. Each bedroom had plenty of space for clothing. There was an abundance of plates, cups, mugs, cookware and silverware. This was key, as we stayed for a full eight days. Also, the covered parking underneath was a big bonus! Since we drove down from South Carolina, we brought our own beach gear. However, there was plenty of beach gear provided by the host in a conveniently-located downstairs closet. We would absolutely return to this VRBO for another stay and most definitely during this same time of year! Anna Maria Island is SUCH a great place to enjoy the beautiful Gulf of Mexico, especially during the end of September. The beach water is still warm, and there are far fewer people on the beach, on the roads and in the restaurants.
