Charming Log Cabin on Private Pond Nestled in Woods Near Holiday Valley Resort

My charming log cabin sits on 100 acres of private land which adjoins 2200 of New York State Forest. It overlooks a small pond that is stocked with bass. You are welcome to catch a few and cook them fresh on the gas grill. The front porch is comfortable with beautiful views of the pond, hills, and the valley below.

It is a cozy cabin with a sleeping loft and comes with a fully equipped kitchen and a shower. The loft has a queen size bed and the first floor has a double futon.

The sleeping loft is reached via a narrow metal spiral staircase.

Bring your bicycles in the summer or your cross-country skis or snowshoes in the winter or your hiking boots year round, as the state forest is full of groomed trails. Or bring your books and just relax and enjoy your surroundings.

There is a fire pit for cool evenings or just to enjoy while relaxing.

We are only 12 minutes from Ellicottville, New York which is a quaint little ski and resort town. You can ski in the winter or golf in the summer. There are world-class restaurants for fine dining and wonderful shopping. Take advantage of all that this enchanting area has to offer. I have some of the highlights listed below.

Amazing little cabin nestled in the woods. Everything you need is provided by the accommodating host. Sitting on the porch overlooking the private stocked pond is as peaceful as it gets. Thousands of acres of State Forest land nearby to explore. We will return as 3 days / 2 nights was not enough.

An Enchanting Escape into Simpler TimesThis little cabin near Ellicottville is pure magic. It feels as though it was built from the forest itself — every timber, porch post, and antique detail breathing the quiet soul of the surrounding woods. The views of the Appalachian foothills are stunning, and the atmosphere is calm in a way you almost forget exists anymore.The porch is a dream — especially the cushioned wooden swing overlooking the pond. It became our favorite reading spot. Down by the water, there’s a cozy fire pit where my kids and I made s’mores under the stars. The interior is just as special: a charming spiral staircase, worn wood in all the right ways, eclectic Adirondack-style decor, and vintage touches (like metal tins and a coo coo clock) that give it a warm, nostalgic feel.Every nook invites relaxation — whether you're enjoying morning coffee on the porch or curling into a deep couch after sunset. The silence of the surrounding woods is unforgettable. Can’t wait to return!

What an amazing property. One of the quietest VRBO I have ever stayed at. The pond had tons of Bass. The property was very clean and neat. The home had everything you needed for a relaxing stay.My wife, my 17-year-old twin daughters and myself stayed for five days and had an amazing time. We will definitely return in the fall to see the leaves change colors. Part of our trip we drove up to Niagara Falls and had an amazing time, this property is only about an hour and 20 minutes from there so it’s an easy day trip. The town of Ellicottville is only about 8 miles away and has a bunch of really neat shops and great restaurants. It also has a small grocery store and gas station so you can get everything you need for your stay. We spent most of our time on the front porch, I could’ve lived out there for days. One of the most relaxing vacations I’ve had in recent memory.

Very cozy little cabin to just get away from the hustle and bustle of life for awhile. Very quiet and peaceful. Not far away from towns that have things to do. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back to stay again.
