About this property

Beautiful Cabin on the Inland Chain of 28 beautiful Lakes .

Sit out on your deck overlooking beautiful Otter Lake, have breakfast in the fresh outdoors, or in your screen porch. This cabin sits on a medium grade slope to the lake.
There are steps to the lake with a bench to sit on mid-way if needed.
Cook out on your charcoal cooker, and watch the birds & squirrels as they try for top placement on the bird feeder.
Curl up before the fireplace, have a bowl of popcorn, or play games with your family and/or friends.
Swim out to the raft, or lounge around by the lake. Try out our canoes, Kayaks, and paddleboat. Enjoy the sand lake shore.
Rent our pontoon or fishing boat, and explore part or all 28 connected lakes. Take your fishing pole along. Then bring your catch back to our fish house for easy cleaning.

Go out for dinner by water to one of the many restaurants on the chain. You can even go golfing by water.
Eagle River is only 2 miles away (5 minutes) for great shopping, and access to the many festivals.
Wintertime fun on your snowmobiles, cross country skis, or snow shoes. Trails for all are abundant. When conditions permit, we even have an ice skating renk out on the lake.
We only rent a year in advance so that we can give our guests a chance to reserve their spot for the next season.

Cabin was cozy. Beautiful view of the lake. Time slows down watching a loon on the lake with a fire going. The area had great hiking and we recommend going into town and shopping! We will be back in winter!

This was perfect! Our host, Jeanette, was excellent. Clear and timely communication - everything we needed to know. The cabin was super clean, and well stocked. Even a dishwasher and washer/dryer - high end appliances. The setting was idyllic- guiet and wooded - lotof places to walk. Water toys available. Fun shops and restaurants in Eagle River.

This property was absolutely perfect. With 2 small children the sandy beach and play-set was a huge benefit. Property was only about 10 minutes from town so it was super convenient. We did a lot of swimming and fishing and caught a lot even from the docks on the property. Janette was wonderful and showed us what we needed and was available if we had any questions. We had a wonderful week!

Cabin on the lake.

Very clean cabin and grounds. Ideal location close to town with grocery stores and bait shops a short drive away. The lake was beautiful and I was able to catch some nice crappies and enjoy the eagles and otters.

Great location. Minutes from Eagle River in quiet, wooded area. Excellent view of Otter Lake out the picture window. Clean and nicely decorated. Host provided home made cookies and the recipe as well!

Beautiful fall getaway

Quiet, cozy cabin with all the comforts of home. Cabin was very clean and came fully stocked with wood for the fireplace and even homemade cookies. Jeanette is super sweet and really cares about the property and making sure her guests have everything they need. We may have to make this an annual trip.

Perfect hide away

This is the second time we stayed at this cabin. The hosts were helpful and the cabin is perfect. Nestled deep in the woods but close enough to all of the Wausau amenities

Great lakeside cabin for a small group

Perfect cabin to spend some time on the lake with a small group. Nicely finished kitchen and a great living area with a stocked wood fireplace to relax at night. Roland & Jeanette were great hosts that got us setup with the cabin quickly and left us to enjoy our weekend.

Rustic, quiet and cozy for our mini vacation

If you like the rustic cabin feel on a beautiful lake in a quiet neighborhood then this place is for you. My husband and I spent the days away from the property exploring the Wisconsin Northwoods, playing golf, sampling different dining experiences and rode a really nice paved bike trail.

Fantastic Stay

We stayed the weekend for my husband’s birthday with our two young boys. Despite cool temps and occasional snow, we had the best time. Cabin is well kept, comfortable, and has everything you need to stay comfortable inside or enjoy yourself outdoors.

Fall Retreat

Clean, well-maintaned property with great hosts. We asked Jeannette for a board game on a quiet Saturday night, and she was kind enough to provide a variety of options and brought it over. The property is close enough to downtown Eagle River for any needs, but far enough away to provide peace and quiet. We would definitely stay again!

ice fishing trip

Came to the Eagle River area to do some ice fishing and found this very nice cabin on VRBO. When we arrived and found all the personal touches left for us, we felt very welcome! Wonderful décor in the cabin, stocked with things we needed and a beautiful location - right on the lake! We look forward to coming back in the summer to do some fishing in the Chain o' Lakes area. We are Roland & Jeanette Zimmermann, and live on the property so that we can be available if our guests need anything. We enjoy being on the lake and fishing, and desire to make you feel welcome and at home. We will try to make your vacation as enjoyable as we can.
Our rates are based upon 4 people Saturday to Saturday, from the middle of June to the middle of August. Just let us know how many people you will be having through a message and we'll adjust when you arrive if need be.
Our rates are based upon 2 people during the rest of the year.
Additional people are $25 per day per person.

Why they chose this property

You can't beat the year around beauty of this area. We just havn't found anywhere we love better. Fish, Hike, Bike, Snowmobile, Ski, Snow-shoe, Boat, Restaurants, Golf, or just relax. You have many choices as to how you would like to spend your time when you come here.

What makes this property unique

You will enjoy having meals on your deck, having easy access to the lake. Lounging at the water's edge, gazing over this beautiful lake. A sandy lake bottom for great swimming. Sitting around the campfire, (we have grates to fit right over the fire for grilling) and spending time on the lake. You can fish right off your pier. Watching the baby fawns and the newly hatched birds is a real treat. Hear the loons, most every night. Love gazing at all the stars at night. Hiking & biking on our non-through country road is wonderful.

OUR CANCELLATION POLICY: Fees are refunded in full if you cancel at least 60 days prior to arrival except for a $100 re-booking fee.
1/2 is refunded if you cancel 30-59 days prior to arrival.
No refund within 29 days of your arrival.
