Are you doing any remote work when you are here? We hope you aren't but IF you are, our condo is setup with a small sit/stand desk, monitor, keyboard and zoom light to make it easy to take a conference call or send a few emails.
On the grounds:
- Beautiful saltwater pool and 2 hot tubs, areas to change and restrooms
- Fitness area with treadmills, stationary bikes, weights
- Outdoor clubhouse area with restrooms and barbeques
By booking, you agree to all of the following rules and agreements.
1). Vista Waikoloa is a smoke-free property. Smoking, drug use and vaping is NOT allowed inside the condo unit, on the lanai or on the property grounds. There is a $1000 fine if discovered.
2). Parties are NOT allowed at this property, including loud music. Quiet hours are 10 PM - 8 AM. If it is determined that guests are having a party/large gathering OR surrounding neighbors report a complaint and/or call police for disturbance, guest (s) will be asked to leave immediately without refund and a $1000 fine will be charged.
3). There is no daily housekeeping. For longer stays (over 14 days), there is a REQUIRED mid-stay cleaning for $150 (this light cleaning for 2 hours does NOT include any laundry or linen changes).
4). Guests shall keep the property and all furnishings, appliances in good order. Household inventory, appliances and furnishings shall be used respectfully. Guests shall maintain a respectable level of cleanliness and tidiness in the home.
5). Overnight guests that exceed the number stated in the reservation are NOT allowed. Children are considered guests that must be stated in the reservation.
6). Not suitable for young children. This is a quiet property and unit.

Aloha! We are Fred & Laura Holupka (and mom, Mary) and we are very happy to share our Hawaiian home with you. We enjoy spending time in our Vista Waikoloa condo during various months throughout the year. When we aren't on the Big Island, we are usually at our home in Southern California or traveling (which we LOVE to do!). We have taken the last two years to create a true home here on the Big Island. We hope that you enjoy it as much as we do!
Why they chose this property
We knew from the first time we rented a condo at Vista that we wanted to make this place, specifically Vista, our home. It took us many years to find just the right unit and we are so happy that we finally realized our dream! Vista Waikoloa is located in Waikoloa Beach Resort which is a terrific location for beaches, shopping, the local Island Gourmet grocery store, weekly farmers market, restaurants, movie theatre, world class golfing, paddle boarding, snorkeling, whale watching (Dec-Mar) or just simply to relax on the lanai enjoying the gentle breezes. There are so many things within walking distance! The best part of the day for us is the short 10- minute walk down to the beach (past the historic fishponds) to catch the sunset. It's a nightly tradition for us and is much missed when we are back on the mainland. Don't forget to grab one of our beach chairs and your favorite beverage when you head down there!

First, the amazing views from the lanai. We have terrific views of Mauna Loa (you can often see snow up there certain times of the year!) and Hualalai. When Mauna Loa was erupting in early 2023, we could actually see the glow of the lava from our lanai! We also have a peek-a-boo view of A-Bay from the corner of the lanai. Our unit is typically peaceful and quiet and not only enjoys mountain views but also views of the gardens below. Our lanai is well-protected from the sun in the afternoons so it's the perfect spot to relax on a chaise lounge and take a nap after a long day out exploring.
Inside, we enjoy terrific breezes throughout the day and rarely need to use our air conditioning. The mountain views are just as good from the living room as they are from the lanai. We have taken great care to ensure that our home is comfortable and well-equipped. It truly is our happy place!
