House was fun and we enjoyed the game rooms. Communication with the host was great. Very responsive to any questions we had. Only downer for us was that weather went from 92 to 62 literally overnight so made the pool unusable! Not the host or the houses fault. Other than the bummer weather went enjoyed the house and the fact we could have our pups with us. We would rent again during a warmer time of year!

Clean with plenty of space. Kitchen had everything we could possibly need, even some great coffee. Kids loved the Kayak and paddle board, as well as fishing from the dock.

This was the perfect place for us. As soon as we walked in, I fell in love with the uniqueness of “The Villa” We took advantage of all this place has to offer. The dock was perfect for parking our boat, you definitely get all your steps in making your way back from the lake. The pool was perfect for the daytime sun. Our adult kids enjoyed the game room and pool table. The host was fabulous with returning messages and keeping in contact with us throughout our stay.

Great rental!

This was a great rental! Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy! We loved the pool and the lakefront! Comforatble beds and lots of activities to keep everyone entertained!

Our Happy Place on the Lake

My family and I go here every year. It’s our happy place where there is so much to do. Perfect for small children and baby proof. Also excellent for holidays and time to enjoy family. We have so many wonderful memories here!

House was really nice. Location was away from all the traffic. Nice and quiet. Pool was nice. We went in everyday. House was clean and plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen was well equipped. Pool table was nice. Propane fire pits on both floors and grill upstairs. Paddle boards and kayak were on the dock. We paddled out to the islands. We enjoyed our stay

Lakeside Gateway

Lakeside villa was wonderful. The view of the lake was beautiful. Watching the sunset over the balcony was amazing. My family and I loved the home. It was a nice gateway. Their was plenty to do in and out of the home for every one.

I would definitely stay here again, and I plan to stay here again. No real complaints, but if I had to have 1 it would be the HVAC system. The main floor stays perfectly where you want the temperature to be, the upstairs bedroom gets hot, and the entire downstairs area stays pretty cold (we stayed here in December), but we went and got a cheap space heater and that worked good enough for us. Other than that, no complaints worth mentioning that are any different from any other vacation rental house. I was very pleased with the cleanliness. I look forward to my next stay here.

Charm on the Lake

Holidays are important and I always want them to be memorable. The setting for a great holiday is equally as important and this home was ideal. Set on a gorgeous lake, this charming house accommodated my family beautifully. The brilliant floor plan allows everyone to have privacy and the amenities keep the whole family comfortable and entertained. I just fell in love with this house and hope to make visits here a new family tradition!

Family gathering

This was a great place to stay for a weekend holiday gathering with our two adult children and their spouses. Plenty of space for 6 adults and my daughter's dog. The house was clean and attractive, and the three bedrooms with each having their own bath were great for our group. Although the weather was bad, the view was still great and there were plenty of games and activities provided in the house to keep us having a good time. We would love to come back in warmer and dryer weather!

Clean, Comfortable, and Lakefront Bliss

I don’t live far from the house (just about 30 minutes away), but after my birthday plans fell through, I knew I wanted to find a place with a pool and on the lake to escape for the weekend—and this home was perfect! It was very clean, peaceful, and cozy. I especially loved that I was able to rent a boat and have it delivered right to the dock, which made the experience even better.The host was incredibly friendly, informative, and accommodating. Even the neighbors were welcoming! It truly felt like a home away from home. As a new business owner, life has been pretty hectic these past couple of years, and this stay was exactly the relaxing break I needed. I’ll definitely be booking again!

Family vacation at the Lake

The property pictures are misleading. The location and layout are great, but it is falling apart and needs some TLC. My biggest issue was the pool and outside areas were very dirty. We checked in Saturday and the pool wasn't cleaned until Thursday. Also, due to the tree cover (which is beautiful) all chairs and surfaces outside were dirty and there was no broom to brush away debris and cobwebs. I called and asked. The pool toys and lake toys (SUP and kyak) were provided but all filthy and mildewey. Providing a blower to keep all the spiders and debris at bay would have been nice. I would not stay here again due to these issues.

We take these seriously and since your departure, we have pressure washed the lake toys and furniture around the pool, cleaned out and replaced the pool toys that have accumulated over the summer, replaced the grill, and quite a bit of other work with the vegetation. It's unfortunate we did not have this done prior to your arrival and we hope to have you back and provide a better value!

Horrible def a scam listing

House is in desperate need of repairs, lanscsping and everything in between. I too pic and video and property manager is fully aware. I have no doubt this is a money grab. Pictures in listing are def old and not accurate. Roadside motel has better ratings. There was not one good thing about the house except grill was so bad they dropped a brand new one off. I truly believe recent reviews are fake, no way this is rated anove zero. Do not stay ever, owner is getting screwed by property manager. Needs minimum 100k to bring close to acceptable.. VRBO NEEDS TO DO A BETTER JOB ON ACCURATE LISTINGS. Our vacation with my recent widowed daughter and 10 month old was ruined. Feel free to email me for proof as I have pics and video. Just got home and we are still completely disgusted. NEVER EVER RENT THIS PLACE EVER!!

Great house with plenty of bathrooms, well stocked with shampoo, soaps, paper towels, bathroom paper, spices in kitchen. Home was clean and nicely decorated. Plenty of propane for the grill and fire pits. Lots of floats provided for the pool. Not a lot of boat traffic on this end of the lake and most boaters were very respectful of us kayakers. There are quite a few steps to the dock at this house and they are in the process of repairing some areas of those steps.Couple of tips for fellow travelers: there is not a kayak launch so we used bungee cords and attached the paddle board to the dock to use it as a launch. There are no chairs on the dock so you might want to bring your own fold up ones. There was not much for plastic leftover containers so you may want to bring some or storage bags for leftovers. Might want to bring your own plastic cups for drinks by the pool. None in the kitchen. Lake Norman State Park close by was great for hiking.

Super cute cottage with fun additions to make it feel special. While the weather didn’t cooperate for us, which obviously was no one’s fault, the hosts offered a return discount so we could try again - so kind. Well stocked with pool toys and games and kitchen gear.
