About this property
Solitude Vista by Cottonwood Lodging
**Welcome to Solitude Vista Refuge**
Important Note: You will need 4WD/AWD and snow tires or chains to make it safely in this neighborhood in winter months (November-April). A member of our team will be available to guide you to the home for your initial arrival in winter. Only three cars can park at this home.
**Mountain Proximity and Ski Enthusiast’s Haven**
Discover our charming cabin nestled in the Silver Fork neighborhood of Big Cottonwood Canyon, offering close proximity to two premier ski resorts: just over a mile from Solitude Mountain Resort and a quick 3 miles from Brighton Resort. Whether you're an avid skier or a nature enthusiast, this multi-level retreat is your gateway to unparalleled mountain experiences from world-class skiing to scenic hiking to mountain biking. To get to Solitude, you can drive* (3 mins), bootpack to the Eagle Express Lift (~25 mins), or take the Utah Ski Bus from Silver Fork Lodge (~5 min walk to the bus stop).
*If you do end up driving, make sure to rent a 4WD vehicle for the winter months.
**Ample Accommodation for Groups**
With five bedrooms and three full bathrooms, our cabin comfortably accommodates up to 14 guests. The upper floor features a regal King bedroom, a versatile twin/queen bunk bedroom, and a common full bathroom. On the lower level, you'll find a second King bedroom, and another twin/queen bunk bedroom which share a common full bathroom. There is also a Queen bunk bedroom with a private ensuite bathroom downstairs. Everyone can enjoy their privacy while sharing unforgettable moments together.
**Work and Stay Connected**
Stay productive with four workstations (three with standing desks) strategically placed throughout the cabin. These workspaces are equipped with comfortable chairs, large monitors, keyboards + mouse, and webcams, ensuring you can balance work commitments with your mountain retreat. The house is powered by CenturyLink wifi which reliably powers crisp video calls for multiple users at the same time.
**Comfortable Living Spaces**
The cabin offers a range of cozy living spaces for relaxation and entertainment. The lower-level den features a large flat-screen TV and a plush sectional couch, creating an inviting atmosphere for movie nights. Upstairs, the great room boasts leather couches and armchairs surrounding a wood fireplace and a flat-screen TV. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, soak in breathtaking views of the mountainside and the canyon.
**Well-equipped Kitchen and Dining**
Prepare delicious meals in the fully stocked kitchen, equipped with common appliances, cookware, a pour-over coffee maker, and a Keurig for your caffeine fix. A spacious dining table seating eight and three additional seats at the breakfast bar creates a welcoming setting for shared meals and lively conversations.
**Outdoor Relaxation**
Step onto the decks to experience outdoor bliss. An enclosed deck off the great room houses a rejuvenating hot tub, providing a serene space to unwind in any weather. You'll also find a Peloton for your use here. (Note that the Peloton has “hybrid” style pedals - you can either strap in with sneakers or bring your own Delta-compatible Peloton cleats.) The main, south-facing open deck offers ample seating and features two outdoor space heaters and a propane-powered fire pit, allowing you to revel in the mountain air and breathtaking views throughout the seasons. You can also see some of the Solitude ski slopes from the deck.
**Exercise**
In addition to the Peloton upstairs, the garage has a set of free weights, PowerBlock Elite Adjustable Dumbbells, mats, and a bench. Pump up the Rocky Balboa tunes while exercising in the garage and you will feel like Sylvester Stallone.
**Conclusion**
Solitude Vista Refuge invites you to create cherished memories amidst nature’s splendor. Whether you're seeking thrilling ski adventures, a peaceful retreat, or a blend of both, our cabin is your ideal home away from home. Come and experience the best of mountain living in this spacious, well-equipped, and beautifully situated retreat.
