Beautiful Cabin in the Tall Pines - Wrap Around Deck.


Pride in ownership! Come and enjoy everything Ruidoso has to offer while staying at our beautiful cabin. As you sit on the wrap-around deck. you will be surrounded by tall pines and wildlife. Wood Fire Place for your enjoyment and a gas grill is provided on deck. A large portion of the deck is covered, so you can sit and enjoy it at all times. We are situated in the heart of Ruidoso, close to everything, but isolated enough to have deer visible off the deck at all times of the day. We are between downtown and the ski area.

There are three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Bedroom # 1 has a king bed and its own bathroom, Bedroom # 2 has a queen bed, Bedroom # 3 has two sets of bunk beds, the children love this room. Come spend some time relaxing and playing in the tall pines.

Great getaway any time of year. TV with satellite & DVD, 10 minutes to downtown Ruidoso, great shopping, close to the ski area, horse racing, casinos, and great golfing. You can start your hike right from the front door.

Love the porch!

Great getaway!

8 of us (4 adults & 4 kids) came up here for 3 days over spring break. The cabin was just the right size for everyone. Everything we needed was there and it was a great base of operations for exploring the area. Our kids loved the deer that would gather every morning and evening under the porch. We loved our trip and can't wait to come back to Rruidoso.

Owner had great communication, very commadating. This is the second time my family and I rent this place out. Very clean and close to everything. My girls love going there. Definitely renting again.

Good location

Our family visited for spring break. The house was a little dirty and the stove only had one working burner. Otherwise it was fine, fit the 5 of us perfectly. Unfortunately a couple of us ended up with colds while there so we spent more time at the house than planned.

Terrific cabin

We stayed an entire week in this cabin and loved it. It had all the amenities anyone could need; the kitchen was well stocked. The place was very clean, including the deck and windowsills. (I hate to find spider webs in those places, which happens often in VRBO’s). The beds were ok, and there were plenty of towels. The washer and dryer also came in handy. I do wish the flooring had continued in the bedrooms, instead of shag carpets, but I’m sure the carpet would be warmer In winter. We spent most of the time on the large deck, which was shaded all day, but after dark the smart TV was put to use. Overall, a great place to stay, and convenient to town and grocery store.

We had a great time, however there were some cleaning issues, and the internet wasn’t great. I say the small amount of issues with that, didn’t deter us from enjoying the property at all. Thanks for the memories!

Really Cute cabin in the pines

We enjoyed our week long stay at Gilbert’s cabin in the woods. SO, SO many cute decorations and small touches that make the cabin very special. My favorite was the huge covered porch with comfortable chairs. On that porch you feel like you are sitting in the woods, yet safe from the bears at the same time. Yes, bears. There are bears in the area as well as Elk. Hubby’s favorite part was the huge selection of channels on the TV! I also really, really appreciated the well-stocked kitchen. Almost everything you can think of is available for food prep and serving. We appreciated being able to bring our dog with us, he is older and loves road trips. Can only speak to the master BR, but it was spacious and comfortable. The cabin has plenty of room for lots of people and is very comfortable. It is very quiet in the neighborhood also. It is also only about 10 minutes from downtown Ruidoso, and about 5 minutes from Albertsons; very convenient. When we arrived Gilbert sent several recommendations on things to do in the area which was helpful. Overall, we enjoyed touring the Ruidoso area and returning each day to the cozy cabin to relax. Gilbert does a great job communicating and has an excellent maintenance crew. Thanks, Gilbert, for a fun week! The Dailey’s

Great relaxing weekend

The details of everything about the property was accurate, very clear and easy to understand. We saw deer all 3 days and the deck was a great place to enjoy the morning and the evening. It was perfect for two couples and two kids age 4 and 7.

Great weekend escape from the heat

We had a wonderful weekend in Ruidoso and this cabin. Very comfortable and nice location. We basically hung out to play games and put together a puzzle. Thank you for sharing your cabin.

Tree House

We stayed here last year for Valentine’s Day and decided to stay here again this year for Valentine’s Day, the cabin is cozy and nestled up in the trees and it is just absolutely breathtakingly beautiful., It’s snow this year and was so peaceful and serene. I love it here.!

Family Getaway

This property was a great getaway for our family. It's large deck was awesome for grilling, playing games, and hanging out. The spacious living/dinning area provided a great atmosphere for cheering for the Dodgers! The location allowed for a round of golf for the gentelman and shopping for the ladies. We had a relaxing weekend and would love to stay again.

Much Needed Rest

A quiet & peaceful getaway! Because of our COVID situation, this was the perfect little vacation. Gilbert is super attentive to his clients, gives you lots of details if you are new to the area. My husband is usually very reluctant on any getaway, he LOVED Gilbert’s cabin, we stayed an extra day. The deer, the “cawing” of the birds and the forest trees is what you will get when you visit Gilbert’s cabin. I would recommend to anyone and hope to be back soon.

Met Our Needs

This property met our needs for a family of four. Gil was super easy to work with and helped us get checked in and we did so in a short timeline. We spent most of our time on the front porch of the property bc we grilled every evening and ate our meals outside. We even saw a few deer! We enjoyed the property bc it allowed for cooking and we were close to hiking in the Lincoln National Forest.

Our cabin is owned by two longtime friends, one of us is in the medical profession and the other is in the business world. We have been friends for over 30 years and we both enjoy bringing our families up to enjoy our cabin.

Why they chose this property

We would visit Ruidoso often and enjoyed it so much we decided to start looking for a cabin of our own. We come up to play golf, ski or attend a concert at the “The Inn of The Mountain Gods” or Spencer Theater. We love to hike and fish. In the summer time we just love to get out of the heat. Winter, we enjoy the skiing and tubing.

What makes this property unique

We are close to town, but have a very quiet setting with wildlife all around, we are about ten minutes from downtown Ruidoso, 5 minutes to the “Links Golf Course” and about 15 minutes from the ski mountain road.
