Mountain Laurel Cabin at The King's Pines

This hand built cabin is situated privately on 50 acres of pine woods in the Adirondack foothills. From cutting down the trees, to making the logs on our sawmill and picking up our hammer, we lovingly hand-crafted it. The cabin features a hot rainwater shower and sink; solar electricity for the lights, and a wood-burning stove. You'll find a propane cook stove inside and a barbecue grill (propane) outside. Named Mountain Laurel, the cabin is situated at the top of a hill, with beautiful shade trees, cool breezes and a great view of the pine woods. It features a queen size bed in the main living area and a full size bed in the loft. A dining area is on the main floor along with a wood burning stove with a screen that can function as a fireplace. Experience cool breezes all summer long on the full-size porch. The catwalk off the loft leads you to a balcony with a beautiful ten-mile view. The shower room is located under the cabin on ground floor level. A very neat and clean "glorified" outhouse is located in a separate building a few yards from the cabin. Numerous lakes are a short drive away for kayaking, canoeing, swimming and fishing in the summer. In the winter, enjoy cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, hiking and snowmobiling. Snow Ridge, which boasts the first snow of the season, is thirty minutes away. We request reservations to be made at least 48 hours in advance of arrival date.
