We love your cottage. Very clean, well maintained and equipped, lovely location. My daughter came over for one night to celebrate my 77 th birthday. The extra sheets are double and do not fit couch bed. Otherwise everything was perfect. Thank you.

Great Cottage in Historic St. Pete

Extremely clean and well maintained. The hosts responded immediately to a slight issue with the door that turned out to be user error ;-) Very nice, picturesque parks with a view of the water within 6 blocks as well as a great downtown area with lots of cool restaurants and museums. Loved the walkability and the nice yard for the dog.

Wonderful home base to explore downtown St. Pete.

Jennifer and Brian's cottage is a wonderful place to call home base while visiting the St. Pete area. Beautifully decorated, clean and the location is perfect for walking to downtown St. Pete and Tampa Bay beaches and marinas. After exploring all day it was a joy to come home to this delightful cottage. The bed, linens, kitchen and bath were first class. Even our dog had a good time meeting the many other pets in the area. Dog park just a short walk away. Highly recommend for a couple looking for a week or weekend away.

Perfect!

This is our fifth trip to St. Pete and our first stay with Jennifer and Brian. Downtown St. Pete has a lot to offer and this location, in the Historic Old Northeast, is within easy walking distance to restaurants, museums and parks. Cottage was well appointed and comfortable. We loved the outdoor space! Jennifer and Brian are gracious hosts and ready with suggestions for restaurants and adventures. We've already booked our visit to St. Pete with Jennifer and Brian!

Perfect, private getaway

We loved this one-bedroom cottage in St. Petersburg's NE area. It is perfectly located, totally quiet and private. Jennifer and Brian are warm hosts who have gone to get lengths to make sure their guests are totally provided for. The cottage has everything you need for a wonderful stay. No need to worry about the accommodation's when staying here. The water, parks, walking paths, downtown, trolley, restaurants, and nightlife are a few blocks away. We loved walking to the Black Crow Coffee house each morning to start our day. Can't wait to go back again.

Great cozy cottage

It was just what I needed. Perfect size, very quiet, and a parking space! The owners are very nice and attentive. The clothes washer needed fixing, and they were on it immediately, replacing the unit with a new one. I had initial trouble with the internet and they immediately provided an alternative line so I could do my work. I would most definitely recommend staying here!

We had a great 3week holiday inSt Pete, the weather was perfect as was your cottage. This property is well situated for easy walks into town and along the waterfront park area. The cottage is cozy and very clean and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The owners were very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our morning coffee out on the verandah and evenings in our private garden. We enjoyed events at the park and at the Art gallery which also had really good food in their Cafe. Would highly recommend this property. Thanks for a great stay. Sandi and Katharine

Amazing apartment! Well designed and decorated. Marvelous location. Friendly and helpful owners.

What a charming apartment! Clean, well thought out design (porch and patio ) and lovely decor. Well appointed. Anything specific we happened to need the owners were happy to find for us. We celebrated our son's college graduation here and the place was so nice we sponsored a small dinner there (with owner's permission). The location is fantastic! Four blocks to the waterfront park, outdoor public pool, marinas, Florida wildlife on the water and restaurants galore. The neighborhood is super charming and a walker's delight. Highly recommended.

Cozy Cottage

Awesome cottage in the heart of historic NE St. Petersburg. We stayed for 8 nights between Christmas and New Year's, perfect location to enjoy all that the area has to offer. It is an eclectic neighborhood of bungalows and older homes, very cool... The property is spotlessly clean and has a great kitchen to prepare meals. It is the perfect size for two with a very comfortable king-sized bed. It is pet-friendly, although you would never know another pet had ever stayed there. Jennifer and Brian are terrific hosts who know how to make guests feel welcome. We would definitely choose to stay at the cottage should future travel bring us back to the area.

Quaint, charming, private, and well apportioned

The unit is spacious, well-apportioned, in great shape, and comfortable. The bed is lovely and having cable television was an added bonus. The kitchen has everything you need if you plan to eat in during your vacation. The owners are on property and very informative but the unit is very private if you desire your own space. The unit has a very high walk score and is minutes from downtown St. Pete with great restaurant options, museums, city vibe, and the largest farmer's market in Florida. A reasonable nightly fee rounds out this overall superb option when staying in St. Pete. We would definitely return to this property.

The best of the best!!!

Well, what can i say? I just hope I can stay at Jennifer and Brians sweet cottage again. I am afraid it will fill up for every month! I was so cozy and comfy and felt so safe. Could walk everywhere and I did! Immaculately clean. A home away from home. And so quiet. You could sleep so soundly. They are just the best!! I will be back and I hope soon.

I can't wait to return

We were very impressed by how thoughtfully furnished the property is; they have provided well for their guests. We also noted how very, very clean everything was. My (tall) husband even remarked that the top of the refrigerator was very clean, which he tells me is not common. Lots of information was provided about activities and restaurants. The hosts were very responsive to the few things we needed help with. The location was great as we could walk to the park on the bayfront and to downtown restaurants. It is also a lovely neighborhood with lots of interesting houses. It was very quiet at night and we felt very safe. I highly recommend this rental.

Quaint and cozy

My husband, 8-year old corgi mix and I enjoyed 10 days at Jennifer and Brian's charming cottage in Historic Old Northeast. The cottage was ideal for us to walk to Downtown (10 minutes), the many parks (7 minutes) and the waterfront (8 minutes). We could sightsee all day and return home to relax on the front porch while grilling out and savoring the peaceful setting. The neighborhood is very quiet, safe, friendly and easy walking. It is a great location to walk your dog to the dog park or around the neighborhood. The cottage is well equipped (we cooked in many times), the bed is very comfortable and the wifi/tv/electronics work great. I would highly recommend staying here. I think the hosts have thought of everything to make people comfortable. We plan to return.

Great cottage in a beautiful setting

We rented the cottage for an all too brief stay during the first weeks of February. Jennifer had already been accommodating prior to our stay in making some changes to our vacation time frame. The cottage is located in a very quiet and safe part of town. It is about a ten minute leisurely walk to Beach Drive and its museums and restaurants. In the other direction you get to a beautiful waterfront park in about an eight minute stroll. The cottage itself was immaculate and had everything that was stated in its description. The bed was very comfortable and the living area was homey. We enjoyed sitting out in the courtyard reading and having an afternoon snack and glass of wine. Thanks again Jennifer and Brian for making our stay so enjoyable!

Very convenient and livable unit

Jennifer and Brian do a great job of maintaining this unit. It has everything you need for your stay and is very clean. They also respond quickly to any problems and for us that wa s tv and ac. Tv accessible within minutes and ac in a few hours. It has a cute porch and patio with no real view but it’s quiet and comfortable. We walked and biked everywhere including downtown, museums, parks, waterfront, swimming, tennis, movies, shopping, etc. Old northeast is a quaint neighborhood that is shaded, safe, and highly walkable. Beaches are a 20 minute drive but there is one small beach within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay. It is as pictured.

Cozy Cottage, Calming, Convenient and Clean

The review title really says it all - Cozy Cottage, Calming, Convenient and Clean. All things that a vacationing family desires. The cottage is located in backyard of the owner's home - in this area this is common. However the way the property and yard are designed there is not a privacy issue. There is a patio table with umbrella just outside the small front porch. When you walk in the cottage the first thing I noticed was the color of the walls - such a calm shade of blue. They have great taste in furniture and decor. The bed was comfortable. Cable TV. We went to the beach by the bay a couple of blocks away and the property owner let us use their beach chairs, umbrella and cooler. We walked to the downtown area every day. The time away was wonderful and the accommodations added to the trip. Thank you Jennifer and Bryan for providing such a wonderful retreat.

A gem of a hideaway in St. Pete!

We decided upon a last minute trip to St. Pete for the holidays, and were thrilled that we not only were able to source accommodations, but that we found a hideaway that was so quaint and romantic in Old Northeast. The owners are lovely folks who gave us a warm welcome and send off. They've done a fantastic job with creating a home away from home that is comfortable, clean, as well as well-appointed and maintained. They clearly put a lot of attention to detail and love into this sweet cottage. We just loved the huge, comfy wrought iron bed, and starting our day with coffee on the lovely bricked patio amongst the garden and finishing our day enjoying wine . We loved that the cottage is within close walking proximity to just about everything...as we spent our days and eves shopping, site seeing, dinning and enjoying the waterfront. We even enjoyed a lovely carriage ride that picked us up right at the front door, we sipped our fave bottle of wine as we toured the beautiful holiday decorated homes and were dropped right at the front door of the restaurant we were dinning at. We had a fabulously romantic, fun trip! We'll certainly return to this lovely cottage and will recommend to everyone we know who's seeking an affordable, gem of a hideaway in quaint St. Pete!

About the host

Host profile image
Hi! We've lived in Florida for the past 22 years having moved here from Newport, RI. I graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science in Consumer Affairs. I've worked in Real Estate, Social Services and Staffing/Recruiting. I enjoy traveling, meeting new people, reading, cooking and going to the beach! My husband, Brian, is a Mechanical Engineer. He graduated from the University of South Florida. He enjoys bike riding, boating, ping pong, all things related to cars & working on his inventions!

Why they chose this property

My husband and I bought this property because we love the 'old world' charm of the neighborhood with its' brick streets and architecture. The neighborhood is filled with Craftsman style homes as well as Tudors, Mediterranean Revivals, Colonials, American Four Squares and others. We love that we can walk to our favorite restaurants, shops and entertainment! This neighborhood is like a New England town with Palm Trees but without the cold weather!

What makes this property unique

This is a single level cottage so there won't be any stairs to navigate except 2 steps onto the front porch. There is a private parking spot behind the cottage. It has central AC/Heat (no window shakers)! Easy walk to downtown and the waterfront with it's own small beach! You'll also enjoy a private washer/dryer right in the cottage. A horse drawn carriage can pick you up right at the cottage door (a unique benefit to this neighborhood) and tour you around the neighborhood and/or take you downtown and drop you off at dinner! So fun!
