Literally ski out your backdoor to Canyon Lodge and the Canyon Express Chair. This 1849 condo has absolutely the closest access to Mammoth mountain ski lifts making it ideal for skiers. If you don't ski you can stay at home and watch the skiers from the warmth of your fireplace. You will never have to move your car out of the underground parking garage during your stay at Mammoth. You can walk just steps to the Gondola for a ride to the Village and or use the free Mammoth shuttle which stops in front of the 1849 condos and can take you to the city center.

Relax in our 1500 sq. ft. condo that has a rustic Mammoth Mountain cabin appeal. The living room features a big screen Smart TV with Blue ray and a home theatre system along with a large DVD collection. There is a highspeed wireless internet. The condo boasts 2 master bedroom suites with king sized beds and full baths and 1 bedroom with a queen bed and its own full bath and 1 queen size pull out sofa bed. The unit has its own washer and dryer just off the kitchen.

The club house features a heated outdoor swimming pool, 2 outdoor hot tubs, 1 indoor hot tub, sauna, ping pong table, lounge with big screen TV, video arcade games and laundry facilities. In the summer enjoy the outdoor fire and barbecue pit and private outdoor picnic area.

This home is very comfortable and perfectly located in Mammoth Lakes for easy access to local hot spots. The three of us were there for fall photography in the mountains and had a fantastic experience.

Mammoth Family Reunion

Super easy reservation, check in, and check out! We have been going to 1849 condos as a owner and guest for 54 years. Loved this unit's layout, bedrooms, living room and kitchen. Staying in this unit honestly made us feel like we were in our own condo. Super easy being on first floor with access to pool and recreation area. Will definitely book this specific unit in the future. Also dealing with our contact VRBO host was quick and efficient, and we had no problems with unit at all.

Wonderful time and stay

Rebeccas place was perfect for us. The location was a few mins walk to Canyon Lodge, we had new skiers so this made things super easy. The home is comfortable, the beds high quality, the kitchen super well stocked and the laundry a big bonus. The spa's and sauna in the common area are big and clean and can handle plenty of people. This was our first time in Mammoth, we would love to come back and would definitely stay here again.

Everything you need and perfect ski location

Can’t say enough about the location and convenience of the place. We needed nothing but groceries and beer to satisfy everything we were looking for in our annual ski week at Mammoth. Only thing we would point out that there are only 3 real beds so you’ll need to share one of the King beds or sleep on the pull out couch (a comfortable pull out is a rare thing). But that is minor considering the lifts are just across the street and you can spend your afternoon in the jacuzzi or looking up at Lincoln Mountain from the back deck.

Excellent stay!!

Property is fantastic and they did some updates from the last time we stayed. This is our six year staying at this property and everyone loves it! Owners do a great job in responding when I had a few questions. Looking forward to going back again next year, but also hopefully sometime in between. Everything you need from kitchen appliances to laundry to bedroom/bathroom necessities are there.

Great Location

Given the amount of snow, it was great to be located just steps away from the slopes. The entry hallway was also ideal to keep ski equipment and damp clothing after taking advantage of the great snow on the mountain. The condo had a rustic look and feel as if you were in a cabin.

This place is absolutely the best! From reservation, to check in and check out, the communication was excellent and the description was on point! We had an amazing time with all amenities and then some. A short two minute walk to the lift, quick gondola ride to the village, and plenty of restaurants or deliveries; made this place the perfect place for us to make new memories! Great location and the owners have gone above and beyond! Definitely worth the stay! I can't say enough great things about this place, AMAZING!

Perfect stay!

I come to Mammoth a couple times a year and rent different VRBOs and this has been my favorite so far! The condo is very spacious, clean and the kitchen is stocked with anything you could possibly need (even a veggie tray steamer!) The covered patio is perfect place to have coffee in the mornings and there is a huge patio/deck area that my kids rode scooters and roller bladed on. If you have kids this is the perfect rental. There was even a crib and kid toys!!!!! Thank you for such a wonderful stay we will be back 😊

You can't get any closer to the mountain.

This condo was perfect for 3 couples and 1 baby. Everything on line was correct and as advertised. You literally walk out the door and you are at Canyon Lodge. If you are a skier it can't be beat. Kitchen was well stocked. All 3 rooms had nice beds and 3 baths was a bonus. Check in check out was seamless. BBQ on the desk was super nice and convenient. Totally recommend!!

Location, Location, Location!

The location of this condo couldn’t be better. Literally right across the street from Canyon Lodge and the Village Gondola makes it perfect for a family ski trip. There is a huge open area just behind the condo that was perfect for the kids to play in the snow. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was truly well-equipped. The only drawbacks were the fireplace which didn’t seem to give much heat (the multiple wall-heaters more than made up however) and that it is a little out-dated. That being said, my 8 and 10 yr olds have already asked if we can stay in the same condo next time.

Home away from home

This condo was fantastic! It had everything you could possibly think you’d need and then some. Pots/pans/dishes? Check. Games? Check. First aid kit (I may have taken a tumble on my bike) Check. Heck, there’s even a foam roller for sore muscles! I couldn’t come up with one thing the condo didn’t have. We came up to Mammoth for a mountain biking adventure and it was a breeze to bring our bikes up to the locked patio. Can’t beat the location for winter (Canyon Lodge is closed during the summer) but it’s an easy ride to the Village where you can hop on the shuttle that takes you to the Main Lodge where you can hop on the gondola and ride down the mountain. We will be back for sure!

I understand why families book this condo year after year

I can't say enough about how comfortable we felt. It seriously felt like home. I usually get a weird homesick, anxious feeling even if I'm spending a night with family… not here! So thank you for that. A lot of the time on any vacation, our biggest headache is entertaining the kids (12, 7 and 3) but they were thoroughly entertained which gave the adults plenty of time to relax after a day of hiking. The condo had EVERYTHING we needed for a comfortable week in Mammoth. The only thing we went to Vons for was groceries. We always bring a few small appliances because rentals usually don't have them- a coffee grinder, rice cooker and french press. We could have left those at home. There were those plus more. We absolutely needed at least one king bed but two made it a no brainer! Having a full sized washer/dryer in the condo was so so so convenient also! If you're there in the winter, you won't need to drive to a lodge and fight for parking. Just walk to Canyon Lodge. You can literally throw a snowball to it. The location is amazing.

Awesome Mammoth VACA!!

When you find an awesome property that you want to go back to, you almost don't want to write such a shinning review because other people will want to stay there But, i must give this a 5 star rating. Tim and Becky were excellent communicators. Everything that they said they had at the condo.. THEY REALLY DID HAVE IT AND MORE. Had a small plumbing issue, and they had someone out the next day to fix it!!! Location: Was a great place to be. Close enough to the village but yet far enough away to make it quiet and relaxing. Pool and spas were nice to use at the end of a long day as well. Parking under the structure was easy and convenient. Interior: The condo is large enough to hold our (3) families that came, including the grandchildren. You never felt crowded in the condo. Our favorite part was the sunroom opening up to the HUGE balcony that we can sit and have coffee and play with grandkids. Every room had all the modern necessities that you can think of. Plenty of blankets, towels, beach towels Etc. Kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. Bedrooms were spacious and had fans in each room as well. Was a bit warm when we were up there. The luggage carriers were so helpful, You can load up all your stuff, go into an elevator and right into the condo. Made life easy. All in all, would highly recommend this Condo for a small or long stay. Thanks to Becky and Tim for making this a memorable family vacation.

A Gem!

I really can’t say enough good things. There was a hiccup at the beginning and the owner solved the problem immediately with kindness and incredible generosity. We felt like we were in a cabin rather than a condo, which we loved. We have stayed in many Vrbo’s and have NEVER had a place as well stocked as this one. We were truly shocked how the condo had absolutely everything to make the experience as comfortable as being at home. And how many places can you find where all three bedrooms have their own bathroom? I’ll also let others know that my elderly dad came with us and he is mostly in a wheelchair. It is not easy to find a place that works for him and having the elevator right outside the front door and no stairs in the condo gave him such freedom. He’s been going to Mammoth since he was 15 and I since birth. My husband and I got married at the Twin Lakes Chapel 20 years ago. So, needless to say this was a special trip for us. It’s doubtful my dad will ever be able to return to Mammoth in his lifetime and I really am so grateful we lucked out being in this condo. When my three kids 14, 18, & 22 want to stay in and play card games with their parents and grandpa instead of going out, you know they were happy and comfortable. <3

Second timers! Perfect for 1-2 families!

This was our 2nd year staying at Becky's condo for our family vacation. We are 2 families - 4 adults, a teenager and 2 littles under 10. Condo is spacious for the 7 of us and we never feel like we're on top of each other. Unit is well appointed and since it was our 2nd year, we knew not to bring random things like a coffee grinder. There's a full size washer/dryer right off the kitchen so be sure not to over pack! The unit really feels like home to us which made it a no brainer to book again. Kitchen is stocked with all kinds of pot or pan (great quality too!), baking pans, utensils, sippy cups, etc. so if you happen to forget something, you're fine! Each room has a smart speaker so you can listen to music. There are smart TVs in each room so you can log in to your own streaming services if you want. Two bathrooms have fancy bidet toilets this year which was a great upgrade! Bed linens and towels are plush and the beds are comfy. None of the units in the 1849 complex have AC which wasn't a problem because there are fans in all rooms, we're on the first floor and the breeze keeps things cool and comfy in the summer. There's a pool, hot tubs & cold plunge pool in the complex which the kids used every day. The hot tubs were great after a day of hiking! Foyer is an underrated feature where we stored shoes/boots & hung pool towels/bathing suits so we didn't track anything all over the floor. There's more to love, but I'm limited in characters. Book it and you'll see!

I have been going to this condo with my family since I was a teenager. My father was the original owner of #104 at the 1849. We are continuously working on upgrading the condo. My wife, Becky, manages the condo and really enjoys the interactions with the guests. We live in northern California very close to the Oregon border and are retired from dentistry and dental hygiene.

What makes this property unique

We especially love Mammoth in the summer time. Activities we enjoy are bicycling, hiking, fishing, soaking in the hot springs, & visits to Yosemite.
We have three bedrooms and three full bathrooms, three free parking spots, and we are on the ground floor which allows easy access to all outdoor activities.
