Oh my goodness! This place was practically perfect! We stayed there for a week — 4 adults. Our adult son & his wife had their own room & bathroom and we had ours. The common areas were spacious & comfortable. The kitchen was well-appointed (great Viking professional stove & oven!). The washer/dryer were excellent, as well. Early morning sunrise views over the ocean are beautiful. Oh — also, we thoroughly enjoyed hanging out by the pool. Loved the wraparound lanai (there’s a view of Mauna Kea from the back lanai and ocean view from the front). Easy in & out to Pahoa, Keeau, Hilo, Volcano, etc. Communication with local property manager was great. We will most definitely book again!

Family time in Heaven

We enjoyed our time in Hawaii, the place was the perfect size for our group. We were disappointed that the pool was unavailable for our use, but it all worked out well in the end.

The house is roommy, fresh, and very clean. Our family of four had a great time. If I were to nitpick I would mention the roof. Sometimes it makes crackling noise as if somebody is walking on top of the house. We got used to it by the second or the third day of our stay.

Simply put - This property exceeded our expectations by a mile as did the supremely kind people at Salt Water Hawaii Vacations. When looking for a VRBO, people want accurate descriptions they can trust. You can trust what you see on the page. The grounds are lovely and beautifully maintained. The house was immaculate. The kitchen had what we needed and my daughter loved the Viking stove. The pool was clean. The washer and dryer was clean and well maintained. Although there isn't air conditioning (and I hate sleeping hot) it was not a problem because the breeze flowed through the house (that surprised me). My daughter said her bed was the more comfortable than any VRBO property, resort or hotel we have ever stayed in. Thank you, Tara (hope I spelled you name correctly) for making my family feel welcome.

A true Hawaiin Gen

Everything about this home is beautiful and stellar. It is subsided enough in a quiet neighborhood right across from the ocean yet in a good location to get around the Big Island. We’re had the pleasure of a tsunami warning during our stay. The communication from the host company was amazing and they were there to help answer any and all questions during the event and anytime during the stay. I use VrBO frequently and this was one of my best experiences. Mahalo!
