AddItional comments from Juanita: Your home is amazing with gorgeous views. Hawaii was unusually warm this summer so having a beautiful home with air conditioning was a plus. This home is located just north of Hilo so convent to restaurants and gricery stores. Also Rainbow Falls, Boiling Pots, Akaka Falls and beautiful Hawaii Botanical Gardens are all just minutes away. Only half an hour to Volcanoes National Park. We just happened to be at Volvanoes National Park when Kilauea was erupting. So powerful and magnifivent. A owner, home and location.

A beautiful and unique oceanfront stay! Located in a quiet neighborhood just outside of town, it made exploring in and around Hilo a breeze. The property is clean, well-stocked, and features incredible art and ocean views from almost everywhere—including the patio. There was plenty of room for the family to spread out and relax. We truly enjoyed our time here!

If you enjoy the sound of surf and gazing out at the ocean, this is the spot for you. The lanai, main room, kitchen and dining area are wonderful. Spacious, comfortable, and with wonderful views and plenty of ocean sounds. Great location if you want to be near Hilo. Host was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely stay again.

We were there during the worst storm in years - pouring rain every day. Plus post volcano eruption dangers. None the less, this was a great house to stay in. Lots of room to spread out. House well appointed. Lovely ocean view and surf sound.

I'm a Midwest girl born and raised in Missouri, and that's where I plan to stay, but this home in Hilo became a home away from home. Two days after returning to Missouri, I woke up missing the view of Hilo Bay and the sound of the ocean breaking against the shore.Besides all that, it's in a quiet area a little north of Hilo but still conveniently located for easy access to its downtown and other beautiful locations to visit on the island.

This house was beautifully perched above the ocean. The common areas were spacious--kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed.Appliances and AC units looked brand new and the outdoor furniture/seating areas overlooking the ocean were an amazing place to enjoy meals.The inside and outside were decorated with art/sculpture which were also nice added touches. I'm ready for the owners to adopt me so I can just live there when I retire.On checkin the property was quite warm inside--the air conditioning unit is in the common area only so the 2 upstairs bedrooms were slower to cool off but did cool down eventually (they also had several floor fans to help with this). The master bedroom/suite on the lower floor was incredibly spacious (and had its own AC). Sleeping with the sliding door open to the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks below was awesome.The house is not far from businesses, groceries, etc. in Hilo and on the northern side of the city so close to waterfall hikes, botanical gardens, etc. The street had more or less 0 traffic (not being a through street) and neighbors walking their dogs were very friendly and welcoming.
