Our charming cottage, Adirondack-style home, is located in the heart of Lake Placid, in a quiet residential neighborhood, just two blocks (a 3-minute walk) from Main St. shopping and restaurants. Hillcrest Park is located steps away with a full playground for children. Our home sleeps 10 comfortably. Bedrooms are air-conditioned during the summer months. A large screened-in porch, fenced-in yard and sun deck with a gas grill allows you to enjoy some outdoor fun, and don't forget to stop in the outdoor hot tub for a dip! Inside, enjoy the wood-burning Vermont stove in the living room, or watch a great movie in the cozy den while your children enjoy playing some air hockey/ping-pong in the furnished basement. Off-street parking allows for three (3) small cars or two (2) SUVs. The property is semi-wooded with a mix of White Pine, Birch, Aspen, and Scotch Pine. Views of High Peaks to the southwest.
*Cameras are installed outside the property facing property entrances to be used for the owner's security and safety of the premises. Permit STR-200301.

Birthday weekend getaway

Great house in a fantastic location! We walked all over the town of Lake Placid - it was nice not having to drive everywhere. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room in the house and the beds were comfy! We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, on the deck and porch and the game room was fun! Would definitely stay again!!!

The location in town was perfect. Walking distance to many great places to dine. The hot tub was a blessing after a day in the cold. We had a quiet time together playing games and watching a little football.

Winter Getaway

We had a great time in Lake Placid, NY. This property is super close to downtown and was perfect for our family. Street parking was not an option due to the snow so it did make parking challenging for our 3 vehicle group.

Great location

This house is in a perfect location and inside was clean and comfortable. The outside could look nicer with a clean up. I would also recommend more clarity in the listing as to the fact that the upstairs bathroom where bedrooms are has a claw foot tub with shower (awkward for an older person) and the other bathroom with shower is on the lowest level so not as convenient. The owners were very responsive to my questions prior to arrival and we were able to get in a couple hours before checkin which was perfect as we had an event to get ready for. Overall I would recommend this house.

Couple issues that could use resolving otherwise good house. Upstairs bathroom sink only has hot water, no cold. Ran out of hot water in showers after two showers. Beds couple use mattress toppers- all very hard.

Nice House - Close to All in Lake Placid

Our stay was very pleasant. The house is very well situated in Lake Placid, close to all. It was very clean and well equipped. Has a charming front porch to sit and rock on. My only comment would be that the upstairs claw foot tub is a little difficult to shower in due to its lack of grab bars or anything else to steady yourself on climbing in and out. Perhaps not the best option for the elderly or mobility impaired however, there is a more accessible shower stall in the basement if need be. Overall a very nice place. Upon arrival the house appears very dark and dreary but if you pull up the shades, blinds and shutters more light will brighten up the space. I guess they keep it closed up for security purposes. The beds were very comfortable to use and there’s an abundance of pillows to use. It’s about a ten minute walk to the center of downtown. In town, parking is often scarce so when practical, walk. We weren’t there long enough to use the hot tub or rec room in the basement but they looked nice too. Ditto the washer/dryer. I thought it was a very good value for the money and the instructions for arriving and departing clear. There’s also a 24/7 emergency number in case something goes wrong.

We were in this house for a very short stay. It was perfect for our group of 6 and is in a great location. Close enough to center of Lake Placid without being in the thick of activity. Also only a 20 minute drive to Van Hoevenberg trailhead to climb Mt Marcy, which was our reason for being there. Clean, well maintained and cozy space. We really enjoyed our visit!

Great location and comfortable stay! House was well equipped with just about everything we needed. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is because the basement (where the games and game room were located) was damp and musty, and the top railing of the kid's bunkbed was hardly attached. Both of these issues were shared with the property manager and will hopefully be fixed in the future. I'd also say that this house is better suited for families with kids ages 4/5 and up - it wasn't the best place to have my toddler running around, but we made it work! Still, the house itself was great for our 10 person group, which included my family, my in-laws and my sister-in-law's family. Lots of places to sit and eat, plenty of dishes, glasses and silverware to go around, and plenty of comfortable couches and chairs to relax in as well. We loved that we could walk to main street and avoid dealing with parking in town - but word to the wise, make sure you are prepared for lots of walking up and down hills to do this. We didn't mind, but some people might!
