About this property

Historic & Unique Waterfront Estate—full renovation will be completed by June 15

Nestled in the scenic landscape of Brooklin, Maine, High Head stands as a monumental summer refuge epitomizing well-appointed living harmoniously intertwined with the quintessential charm of rustic Maine life. Erected in 1937, High Head is unparalleled and unique, offering an immersive experience unattainable in today’s constructions—it’s a realm steeped in enchantment and magic. Indeed, ‘magic’ is the echoing term when one describes this extraordinary family sanctuary.

With a focus on jovial and immersive experiences, High Head harbors two distinct dwellings, each echoing whimsical Nordic-inspired architecture. A family style home called "Over Head" that sleeps 16, and a jaw dropping "Tower House" that can sleep up to 8. Both spaces are equipped with elegant dining rooms and incredible views. It serves as a marvelous summer retreat with expansive space for family gatherings. Spread across over 30 lush acres, High Head is embroidered with walking trails that gracefully weave along the shore, unfurling stunning vistas and tranquil moments with every step.

The property offers an all-tides deep-water access dock, allowing direct and secluded access to the serene Eggemoggin Reach, marking High Head as a truly singular destination. The dock is equipped with kayaks, paddle boards, row boats and small wooden sail boat. This property hosts a brand new sports court with tennis, pickle ball and a basketball hoop. A stunning outdoor gazebo, a fire pit, a cedar playground, hammocks and miles of groomed hiking trails will have something for everyone in the family to enjoy.
