Were back after a 4 year hiatus. We haven't shared our Home Away from Home since the pandemic, but we've decided that it's time to once again share our little getaway with those wanting to see what the beauty of Kauai has to offer.
First Floor Unit - 1 bedroom, 1 bath charmer. The corner unit provides bright sunlight and refreshing trade winds. The unit features a small lanai from where you can sit and have coffee and enjoy the beautiful tradewinds. The kitchen is equipped with all kitchen tools needed to prep for a great family meal. The bedroom has a queen size bed with a TV, ceiling fan, and A/C. The living room has a full-size sofa bed, TV, ceiling fan, and a new split A/C. The unit sleeps 2-4 people comfortably. All necessary linens and towels are provided.
Other amenities include: Wood flooring throughout, well-appointed furnishings, and Hawaiian artwork. Wireless Internet is available as well as Smart TV access.
Soak up the sun in the pool, or relax in the Jacuzzi. There are BBQ grills by the pool and pay laundry facilities on-site for your convenience. Ample parking is available, and a parking spot is available for your rental.
Centrally located in the town of Kapaa, you are 30 miles from both the north and south shore. Boating, hiking, and kayaking can be enjoyed at nearby Wailua River and The Fern Grotto. Less than 200 yards away is the Coconut Marketplace, which has specialty shops, and restaurants as well as hosts a weekly Farmers Market and Hula show.
All the comforts of home are provided for a truly relaxing Kauai holiday.

Great communication, wonderful space, excellent location. What more do you need?!?! Highly recommend staying here, The nearest beach is a 4 minute walk away and perfect for relaxing. The sunrises here are probably amazing, but it was cloudy for me every morning.
Nice little place for two. Close to shopping and restaurants. Great host. Would stay again.

Location is perfect whether you’re driving around time or looking to walk down to the beach. Also a quick walk to grocery stores and a ton of local eats.Brenda’s place is very well stocked and the check-in process was a breeze! Highly recommended.
My wife and I stayed here for a week and found the condo to be perfectly located to be able to easily tour between the South and North shore of Kauai. The condo is quite cute and looks better in person than what is described in the photos. We especially enjoyed the close proximity to the Coconut Marketplace and also a hidden gem restaurant called the Sleeping Giant Grill. Also much thanks to Brenda for all of the thoughtful communications we had in coordinating our stay.
everything was nice and clean ,everything worked as intended. well stocked on supplies , owner was totally accessible when the building had a problem with spectrum. we had an excellent time . walked to the beach, stores and restaurants.
My husband and I stayed here a week and absolutely loved it. Place is located right by a farmersmarket and shopping. Condo is located in the middle of all the things you would want to see and do. Brenda the host was the best. She was so helpful to my husband and I with traveling times. Condo has cute decor and very clean. We will definitely stay here again. My husband and I really enjoyed our first visit to Kauai and a lot of it was the wonderful place we stayed at.... very easy after a late landing to find, super easy to get into- no long wait or confusion- absolutely spotless and exactly like the pictures- everything!!! We needed to stay for 5 days and enjoy Kauai!!! Location was great for our first visit to the island. So convenient to have Coconut Market place literally just a short walk away- and that store has EVERYTHING!!!

This property had a well-stocked kitchen, effective air conditioning and the entire property was nice and clean! The beach is right opposite and is about 200 meters away. Overall resort was also well maintained with lots of greenery, friendly cats and some hens :).
More than anything the host, Brenda, was so wonderful. She was quick to respond over email, text and phone. She was also extremely caring and went the extra mile to make sure my elderly parents were comfortable at the property!
I will definitely stay at this property when I visit Kauai next!
Brenda the owner was always open to communicate. The place its self was lovley well equipped and centrally located to everything. The ABC store is within walking distance along with a handful of restaurants and shops

La piscine et le jacuzzi sont un vrai plus pour se détendre après les journées de visite.Un excellent point de chute pour profiter pleinement de l’île. Nous recommandons sans hésiter !
First I would like to thank Brenda (owner) for understanding our need to check out 5 days early and fly back home. It seems that the corona virus really took off fast, and after being in Kauai for over three weeks, we felt we needed to get home safely. Another Thanks for refunding some of our payment so quickly....I found it was refunded the day we left. Kauai is a beautiful island, and I hope they can recover from this loss of tourism. The condo was really clean, the recliner was perfect, it met our needs for our vacation (Feb. 22 ~ Mar. 18, 2020). The ONLY negative was the ugly fence across the road. I think it was put up a few years ago for a planned resort/complex, but there must have been a change of plans. It's really an eyesore. The Plantation Hale complex is well maintained, workers for very helpful & friendly. It was nice to have the Coconut Marketplace right next door, and Long's drug within walking distance. We stayed at Plantation Hale for a couple weeks. It was a good central location. And the best part was the farmers market next door. The condo had most everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfy.

Kauai Condo
This property was lovely and very clean. It was a great location to explore the island from. The owner never sent check in instructions, even when requested, and the front desk struggled to find the necessary information to check me in initially. I was also unable to find checkout instructions and was unsure what to do with things like bed sheets and used towels when leaving. Other than those things, this was truly a great place to stay and we had a great experience!
If you are looking for a home base to experience the entire island this is the place to be!
When you drive to the North shore as well as the West side sights like Kokee and Waimea State Parks, you want to be centrally located. We stayed here for 9 nights and it was a great location. Kitchen and bathroom were well equipped with things like spices, utensils, lots of towels, a hair dryer, sunscreen if you forgot yours, etc.
The house was clean, the shower head amazing, and the bed was comfortable.
We had a wonderful time in Kauai from our home base at this condo. The pool and hot tub are nice and close, as well as Coconut Market. Lots of beach supplies and extra towels came in handy. Fully equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare our own meals. Only minor complaint is that a couple of things were broken (owner has been alerted), but these were minor and did not take away from our overall enjoyment. Thanks again, Brenda!

Great location with everything we needed
Overall, we had an enjoyable stay at Brenda's condo. The unit is part of the Plantation Hale Suites hotel which is conveniently located next to Coconut Marketplace and a short drive south of numerous shopping centers--so you're never too far away from groceries and dining options! The convenience of getting to downtown Kapaʻa and around the island in general was a huge bonus. As others have mentioned, traffic gets a bit congested in this area, but the delays are hardly noticeable when paradise surrounds you.
The unit and property both came as described. The unit was clean, updated, and offered the perfect amount of space and amenities for a week-long stay for two. There are two wall AC units which cool the place down quickly when in use. We loved having access to the pools and hot tubs. Some other noteworthy bonuses:
- Before our trip we were warned by friends who had visited the island that the roosters would offer an early wake up call so "bring earplugs." We didn't hear them once at the condo. They don't seem to congregate here. More often, we noticed siren noise. (Which didn't bother us since we live in a city.)
- This property is included in the route for the complimentary bus ride to/from Smith's Family Garden Luau.
- Ample parking if you're renting a car.
The only issue we encountered during our stay was unclear check-in instructions. After our 6 hour flight, we were eager to get into the unit and relax. When we checked-in at the front desk, the staff didn't seem to have been notified of our stay so we couldn't get the keys. We ended up waiting for an hour until Brenda confirmed our reservation with the front desk. At the time it was an inconvenience, but in the grand scheme of our stay it was just a little hiccup.

Well Located Unit
The host was very easy to communicate with and quick to reply to any messages.
The unit is very clean and the bed is comfortable. Close to Safeway and Longs Drug Store and good location to travel north or south to see other attractions of the island. Having three pools was a bonus as it was always easy to find a pool that was quiet. Spas were very warm and had good jet pressure. We enjoyed our stay very much on the beautiful island of Kaua'i.

Great location and nice condo
The condo was perfect for 3 people. Bed was comfy. We made breakfast several days with utensils supplied.
The condo was In the middle of everything we wanted to do.
Only complaint is the toilet area smelled of urine and there was no soap in the bathroom dispenser.

Thank you Tiphanie for your feedback. I wish you would have reached out to me during your stay as I would have made sure that our housekeeper would have refilled the soap dispenser for you. As for the smell in the bathroom, the unit is about 45 years old, and with older units there might be an odor. Thank you for bringing this to my attention so that I can do something about it, possibly replace the whole toilet to hopefully rid the area of the smell. Again, had I known this I could have sent my housekeeper and maintenance guy to check that out. Thanks again for your feedback and for chosing to stay with us. 6/30/2019 - UPDATE- based on your review, I have since had the toilet changed out to hopefully rid of any oder. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
This condo delivered on all it promised. Area traffic can cause delays of 10 minutes or so but the convenience of the location for local shopping and being equidistant for exploring north and south is unbeatable for first-timers planning a week holiday.
We were also pleased to find so many beach toys made abailable to guests.
