Nice launch point for Southern Miami

Nice spot with everything you need. Our host was very responsive. The property was clean and comfortable. Would recommend!!!

The room actually looked nice and the price was fair given the location and the amenities. However, we had three separate issues beyond minor nuisances.I know not typical in Miami, but it was 42 degrees on the first night, so we turned on heat before going to bed. Less than three minutes later, we sensed burning smell and all smoke detectors began chirping violently. Clearly there was something critically broken in the AC unit and the smoke was distributed to the entire house via HVAC ducts. We had to open all the windows to finally bring down the smoke level to stop the chirping after 10 min, and kept them open all night long so we wouldn't breathing in smoke while sleeping. This is a serious fire hazard and we were forced to completely shut down the HVAC system for the rest of the stay.Just as I wondered what other maintenance issues this house could've had the next day, we were timely locked out coming back in the evening. The touchpad returned an error beep for every touch so I knew it wasn't due to wrong passcode entry. The host wouldn't pick up the call and I had to go to the property management backup number before they informed me to retrieve a backup key in a lockbox behind a trashcan outside. 30 min of standing outside (fortunately warmer than 42 degrees).Ants issue. They are tiny and hard to see as they are easily camouflaged with the counter top. See photo.One star more than minimum for the kind and helpful agent who picked up my call. Would not recommend.

Regarding the HVAC concern, it was reported during your stay, and we acted promptly to ensure it was addressed. The system is regularly serviced for safety and functionality. The door issue you experienced appears to have been due to user error, and the lockbox backup key was provided to resolve access immediately. As for the pest concern, it was not reported to me during your stay, and no evidence of an infestation was found after your departure. We take all feedback seriously and appreciate guests alerting us to any issues so we can act quickly. I regret that your experience did not fully meet your expectations and hope to provide an even better stay for future guests.
