This comfortable oceanfront home awaits you in the secluded sea to sound community of Beacon's Reach. It is a wonderful gathering place for family and friends. Many lifetime memories will be made here, and we invite you to join in the fun! Just steps down the private boardwalk from your back door, the beach invites you to stroll, swim, fish and sunbathe. Enjoy morning coffee watching dolphins and shorebirds from your private deck. Here barefoot is best, with sandy toes, and doing nothing is okay. Relax by walking the beach, sunbathing, gathering shells and end the perfect day as you listen to the sound of the ocean lull you to sleep. For the 2015 season we have added a six (6) seat hot tub and new ground level entertainment deck. This three-level 3,500 square foot home welcomes guests of all ages, it was designed to be a family home so is both kid and adult friendly. The elevator provides easy access for older or handicapped persons and is a blessing when moving in. The large kitchen and eating area have ocean views as does the upstairs master bedroom and spacious family gathering room. There is plenty of space for folks to cook or just hang out at the gorgeous bar and lots of places for children and young adults to play without being underfoot. The family room has a 51' flat screen and all four bedrooms have either a 32' or 46'. There is a roomy outside deck with a large teak dining table and a gas grill. The end of the boardwalk finds you at the oceanside deck and several steps to the quiet beach, where you will find the perfect place to simply enjoy the beauty of the seashore. If you choose to venture farther than your beach chair you'll discover plenty of activities and attractions on Bogue Banks, all within a few minutes drive. If you head straight east through Pine Knoll Shores, on the eastern tip of the island (about a 10 minute drive) stands Fort Macon, a restored and newly-refurbished pre-Civil War fortress, the most-visited State park in North Carolina. Discover the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, located about two miles down the road in the Roosevelt Natural Area. Driving west, you will encounter the small fishing villages of Salter Path and Indian Beach and at the far western end of the island, the community of Emerald Isle.

We absolutely loved this house! Plenty of room to spread out and everything you need for a great vacation. The view was beautiful and we loved the walkway to the beach that was surrounded by trees. There are numerous beach chairs provided which was a huge plus. You won’t regret staying here!
Family gathering after many years! Positively a wonderful time at a fabulous vacation home! The hosts were wonderful! Their VRBO was better than photos! We can’t wait to enjoy their vacation home in the future!5 ⭐️
The house and setting was perfect! Great house for 2 families. The toilet outside was great for the beach and keeping sand out of the house. We truly enjoyed our stay. Jack and Janice were wonderful hosts, answering any questions.

Jenny was a super great guest. She and her husband went above and beyond securing our house for Hurricane Isasisa.
Thanks so much and so very glad you enjoyed our beach house.
Rare Find in one of Pine Knoll Shores best kept secrets (neighborhoods with amenities galore). Home is private, modern, equipped beyond expectations and extremely accessible. Check-in was seamless and for a house this size, one of the most clean properties we have stayed at in this area. Hope to venture back sooner rather than later! Thank you so much for sharing your home with other families!
This was the perfect vacation home for our family gathering. All floors had an excellent layout with very comfortable seating. The deck access and seating were well thought out. An easy shady walk to the beach. More amenities than any other rental we looked at: hot tub, elevator, access to pools, tennis, pickleball, etc. Ocean view was perfect. Highly recommended and plan to be back. Jerry K
We stayed with our adult children for two weeks. The house is beautiful, and the hosts have thoughtfully provided everything to make a wonderful vacation, coffee grinder, spices, beverage fridge, and more. The view from the deck is lovely, and we used the first floor outdoor space a lot during the day because it remains shaded and cool. We particularly liked how the outdoor rinsing hose (on a deck close to the beach), shower, and bathroom were set up. You could go out to swim or for walks multiple times a day, and sand in the house was just not a problem! Communication with the host was great, too. We can't wait to return next year!
The pictures do not do this property justice! We stayed for a week for a graduation celebration/girls’ trip and it couldn’t have been better. A bottle of Prosecco, chocolate bar, and a note were waiting for us when we checked in. Everyone had their own space and bathroom, the kitchen was so well stocked, and the ocean views speak for themselves. The hot tub deck down below feels like you’re in a private oasis with the trees all around. The only downside is the stairs, but there is an elevator! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, highly recommend it!
My family loved our stay at Pine Knoll Shores. As others have shared, the pictures don’t quite do it justice. Having an indoor or outdoor fireplace made it cozy for the range of weather we experienced. Being on the shore with direct access to the beach and sounds of the waves was cathartic. Each bedroom is ensuite, making it easy for guests to be comfortable. Jack and Janice were thoughtful and active communicators. Would definitely return.
We loved this house! Lots of actual wood in the interior makes it feel warm and cozy and I loved that there was an en suite bathroom for each bedroom. The kitchen is very well stocked with every implement we needed. Backyard firepit, hot tub and viewing platform were well-designed and integrated into the foliage. Beach access was easy and, at least in the off-season, we saw very few people.
The only thing I didn't expect was that the ocean view from the house is partially obscured by neighboring houses, but there's still plenty of surf to stare at from the living room, dining room and top deck!
We had a fabulous time! We were greeted with a lovely bottle of Proseco and some chocolate as a welcome gift. The house was beautiful, especially the outdoor patio/hot tub area, and had everything we needed. The kitchen was stocked with any cooking utensil/appliance you could need. The boardwalk out to the beach was super private and so convenient. Our group was made up of 3 generations and the grandparents were very thankful for the elevator while the teens were thankful for the foosball table and having their own rooms/bathrooms. Everyone was happy! We would definitely return!
My family had a wonderful week at the beach in this home. The house was beautiful and spacious enough to accommodate my large family, which included my elderly parents, children, and grandchildren. The view from the top deck was gorgeous and the walk to the beach was lovely…we so enjoyed the private deck at the end. Nights in the hot tub were the icing on the cake. Janice was so accommodating and easy to work with, and made sure to communicate details that were very helpful. We highly recommend choosing this home for your beach vacation. Just perfect. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely loved it!
This home is beautiful and the pictures really don't show how wonderful this home is. It is huge. The rooms are so much bigger in person. We had 9 of us staying here and it was plenty big enough. The owners were pleasant to deal with and were quick to respond to any questions we had. The area where the hot tub is, was designed well and really gave a feeling of peace and privacy. The kitchen is well stocked to make meals and there was an extra tank of propane for the grill which was convenient when we ran out the second time we used it. We were able to see dolphins swim by while standing in the dining room looking out to the water. On most days we had the beach to ourselves and even when there were other people on the beach it wasn't crowded. We made some wonderful memories with our family and would highly recommend this house for your vacation! Thank you Janice and Jack for sharing your home with us!
The property was better than advertised. It is the most well appointed VRBO home we have ever stayed at. More glassware, pots, pans, kitchen gadgets to make cooking fun. The thoughtfulness of the owners to have on hand the little things (spices, hand soap, toilet paper, and paper towels) helped make getting settled more relaxing. With the kind note to simply replace if spices or aluminum foil were used up made cooking easy - and felt like you were at home. The dolphins and pelicans were a delight to watch every day. Only disappointment was that the hot tub didn't work. But they alerted us before and thought it had been fixed, only to learn it was a different issue. The Aquarium was close by and a nice 2 hour activity to break up our walks on the beach. During COVID the ease of social distancing at Pine Knoll Shores was easy. We shopped at Blue Ocean for fresh seafood and that was the only thing we needed - since we brought everything else from home. Even our kids (20 and 17) thoroughly enjoyed the home and ability to unwind and just be. Lots of memories made.
Solid house near ocean. Lovely spaces, lots of privacy. Excellent hottub. Elevator very essential for anyone disabled - because of 3 floors. At this time of year, beach very quiet. Much to do in the nearby towns. Especially Swansboro.
We spent our summer beach trip here and celebrated our son’s 8th birthday. The house was wonderful, especially the layout. We had our family of 4 plus the in-laws and my grandmother. My grandmother was able to stay on the top floor since it had a nice, large master and she didn’t have to go up and down to get to the kitchen and living room. It also had an elevator which was helpful. You can tell the owners take pride in their house and it is so nice to rent from them as opposed to a company that owns multiple properties.
The owner we interacted with was great and helpful. The house was great and as advertised. The location was perfect. The view from the deck is awesome. Bonus points for the great outdoor shower and deck on the walkway to the beach. So convenient.
The house was comfortable, the hot tub came in handy since the weather was not great. We enjoyed the simplicity of walking out to the beach on the private walkway.
This property was just as it says it is in the overview. Wonderful, large house….. great for families and entertaining. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. We recommend this property highly!
It was a pleasure to return to this property for another week long visit. The house has everything one needs and the owners are excellent to communicate with. The house is conveniently located yet also feels private. Couldn’t recommend it more highly!
From booking to checkout the owners were readily available and answered any questions we had. The home was even better than it looked in the pictures. We were in an ideal location and we enjoyed the long walks on the beach and the use of the hot tub. It was one of the nicest VRBO properties we have ever stayed at. We would not hesitate to stay there again and highly recommend this home to anyone wanting a quiet, beautiful stay near the beach.
This was our second stay at this wonderful house this year. Very clean, well stocked, right on the beach, and with a very private hot tub nestled among the pepper trees. We'll be back again.
