our desert food forest with the treated water.

Excellent Retreat in La Ventana

Unfortunately, I was not able to stay long at this wonderful place in La Ventana, due to my rescheduling. Barak is a wonderful host, very responsive and understanding. I am excited to return, and stay longer next time. Enjoy!

Great place

Wonderful host, easy check in. Very clean with great views of sunrises and sunsets. Host is welcoming and very knowledgeable about permaculture gardening. It is inspiring how he is taking care of the environment, with recycling, composting, water conservation, and preserving the native plants. Lots of beautiful birds. Love this sanctuary!

Baja THX-1138

By far the most ecologically well thought out lodging I've ever rented anywhere. The dealing with organic waste of gas is fabulous. The herbs in the garden of Swiss chard were excellent in salad, soups and anything we ate. The floor and fauna nearby were exquisite during our stay. A group called no maspasura came by and they were volunteers cleaning the area to make sure there was no trash anywhere.

Nice location

It is as listed in pictures. Our very nice, well spoken host had great shampoo, conditioner, soap, and toothpaste for use, since the grey water is for the garden. That’s good to know so you don’t need to pack it in your carry on luggage. He even provided seating and side tables for the balcony. Nice location off the main road, with a good view of the ocean. And if you’re a dog lover, the dogs will happily adopt you 😃
