A 2 BR, 2 BA Downstairs Unit right across the street from John's Pass Village!

Cottage by the Pass, downstairs unit, offers all the charm of days gone by as well as all the modern conveniences. Cottage by the Pass is located just steps from the white sand, with no streets to cross. Across the street is John's Pass Village and Boardwalk. Inside you will find a spacious kitchen with travertine counter tops, and energy efficient under the counter washer and dryer. Wood floors in the living area and bed rooms. Bathrooms have a complete new look with marble showers. Outside the french doors in the back is a patio with a gas grill. In front there is a large patio with a white picket fence with lush tropical landscape.
If you are booking through VRBO - it will be transferred over to Vicinity Vacation Rentals for concierge service, to make final payment and to receive Final Instructions. You will be receiving emails from: vicinityvacationrentals@resortplanet.com

Great place for location

Love this place because close to beach, John’s pass across street. Had a hiccup when Debby hit us, owners were great to help. But maybe some games for when guests get stuck in. See you next time

Best vacation spot!!!

Loved the property, very clean loved the front patio area. Fence tall enough for sm to med sized dog, pretty secure for your pet just make sure you check the gate. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you.

Great getaway!

We had such a fun time! The location is incredible, walking distance to everything johns pass. The owners were very fast to respond if we needed anything. Plenty of space inside for dinner/cooking! My only note I’d say is that the couch/futon can fit 2 small people, I’d recommend planning 1 person/adult size on the futon.

Wonderful Getaway

We had an amazing long weekend getaway with another couple at this property! Everything you could possibly want was only a few minute walk away - beach, restaurants, shopping, coffee shop, bars, etc. It also had a great setup where we each had our own bedroom with a bathroom and shower and a cute little patio that we played games on while enjoying beverages. We had a wonderful time and hopefully will get to do it again! Thank you!

Perfect getaway!

Was worried about this unit because it was downstairs apartment and had window units in the listing. So glad we did it! It was exactly what we wanted. Was able to park the car when we got there and had everything we wanted in steps from the unit. We enjoyed the front patio and gas grill so much. Walked out back to the beach and out front to shopping, restaurants, drinks and live music. Can’t wait to stay again.

Nice Beach Stay

Our family was very comfortable in this 2 bedroom, 2 bath beach home. Beach is 1/2 block walking distance and John's Pass Village is across the street. Lots of room and beds comfortable. We brought some conveniences with us and made Publix run the next morning (2.5 miles). Could have used extra toilet paper and paper towels. The parking instructions were a little confusing -- park in the "back" of the property. The gravel driveway next to home appeared to be a "drive-thru" and there was a lot in the back of the house large enough for 3 cars. I found out real fast that the gentlemen in the back of the property told me he loves to tow cars and he does not have any "Private Property" signs. So park in the driveway right next to the house. Otherwise, we loved our stay, the convenience to everything and we will be back again! Thank you!

Cottage by the Pass

We had a wonderful stay at this quaint cottage! It is in the perfect location-right across from the crosswalk to John's Pass Boardwalk. There were plenty of shops and restaurants close by-we never had to drive our car. The cottage is very clean. We especially loved the kitchen. It is spacious and well equipped with a large seating area in the dining room. The Wi-Fi was sometimes sporadic -not sure why it could be because it is not password protected and those around were trying to log in-only worked well in the middle of the day and late at night. Unfortunately we had too leave early because a storm knocked out a transformer and sparks were intermittently making the power go off and on- the owner was immediately there and called the fire department and electric company who basically did nothing-this was not the owners fault and beyond her control. She was very sympathetic and accommodating. We would stay here again when back in the area. We had an awesome time on the beach-only a block or so walk. This area is beautiful!

This cottage is wonderful. The location is excellent and the house was brand new when we visited in November. The beach is just steps away and the boardwalk is just across the street. We'll definitely be back...

There was a lot of room in this property, and the owner thought of everything that you might need while on vacation, right down to curling iron. This is an older place, very clean. However, it’s about time to repaint the trim inside. The kitchen had everything you would need except food, of course. They did include a little bit of spices, olive oil, and some other things.

Awesome Beach

The beach was close to the cottage & the water was awesome! The cottage had a great patio to sit and have coffee and a supply of beach gear including canopies & some chairs… the kitchen was spacious & each bedroom had a bathroom - great place for a vacation- close to the pass .

Awesome location!!

Great Location, Communication, and Service!

The location was awesome - directly across from John's Pass, and very easy to grab some dinner or drinks and see live entertainment! The beach is also very easy to get to, I should have counted the number of steps - but v. close! The unit itself is great - roomy, good amount of space for the family to spread out. The kitchen is huge and there were ample supplies for us to cook our breakfasts each morning. We had a small item pop up during our stay - lack of batteries in the TV remote, and they were dropped off first thing in the morning! We didn't have to worry about being bored that first night as there was entertainment across the street, and there were plenty of books for us to choose from and start reading. After we left, we were more than an hour away and realized our son left his cell phone behind. A quick call and text to Cherie and we came up with various possible solutions that would work, and our situation was resolved without us having to drive all the way back. Everything was great, and we really enjoyed our stay. If we're ever back in the area, we will be renting from here again.

BAD. Floors filthy, lampshades and blinds very dusty, looked like MOLD in shower, kitchen supplies very used and a fist size hole in one of the walls and they charge $60.00 for damage which is non refundable. I recommend not staying here.

Why they chose this property

I purchased this property from the long-time owner because I just love the classic beach cottages. I promised her that I would keep the integrity of the cottage, and not tear it down for a new home to be built. The bonus is the wonderful location. The Cottage by the Pass is the epitome of living the beach life.
