Beach-goers, dog owners, and boating enthusiasts will feel right at home at this classic beach house in Kill Devil Hills. Enjoy an expansive deck, a newly fenced backyard, and an unbeatable location close to both ocean and sound.

This elevated home sits on a quiet and peaceful street just over half a mile from beach access on 5th Street. The Avalon Beach Boat Ramp is around the corner, a wonderful spot to launch on the sound or catch the spectacular sunsets. Enjoy a day at the beach, then check out the nearby shops, restaurants, and breweries. You'll also be conveniently close to the grocery stores for all of your barbecuing needs and the movie theater for that occasional rainy day.

This beach house is extremely guest and dog-friendly. The yard has a newly installed six-foot privacy fence and the deck is gated, making the property all the more convenient for guests with dogs and/or children. After a day in the surf and sun, fire up the gas grill, hang out on the large elevated deck, or gather around the picnic table for cold drinks and snacks in the backyard.

Two adult-size bikes are on hand to help you explore the neighborhood, while boogie boards, beach chairs, an outdoor shower, and a laundry room make days at the beach easy and fun.

Inside, the house is warm and inviting, giving off a beachy cottage vibe. The kitchen features brand-new stainless steel appliances and a dining table for six, and opens to a comfortable living room with two sofas and a cable TV to watch as you unwind after a perfect day.

Perfect place to stay with our dog. There's even a gate separating the living and bedroom areas. Nice neighborhood as well. We were there in January, and many of the houses seemed to be occupied by owners, which probably makes it a quieter neighborhood in the summer as well.
