Trident's Creek is located in Cosby with a Gatlinburg locality. Just off of Highway 321, the cabin is easy access with no mountain roads located on a beautiful little creek. The home sleeps 6, with an upstairs mother-in-law suite that has a separate entrance using outside steps also added to the upstairs are 2 arcade machines. Share a relaxing moment in the hot tub or when the sun begins to set, get the s'mores ready and plan a night around the outdoor firepit that doubles as a grill, play corn hole or take a nap in the Creekside hammock. The perfect little place located near so many unique Gatlinburg adventures such as The Glades, Rocky Top Sports World and Crystelle Creek Restaurant. For a peaceful getaway book Trident’s Creek!

Peaceful!

Just what we needed, the stream was therapitic. Very nice cabin!

The cabin was very misleading, there was nothing in the posting stating that the upstairs and downstairs were not connected inside the cabin. Yes it stated private access, but it did not say that it was the ONLY way to enter the upstairs portion. It was not stated anywhere in order to get to the upstairs section of the cabin you would have to walk up the back OUTSIDE staircase. This is very inconvenient considering that the only shower is located downstairs in the main cabin so when you want to shower in the morning, you have to take ALL YOUR STUFF OUTSIDE with you as you walk downstairs (again OUTSIDE IN YOUR PAJAMAS) to the main part of the house. It is also very inconvenient because there is NO refrigerator in the upper portion of the cabin so again you have to walk outside and down the outside stairs to the main part of the house to get a drink. This is very irritating if it’s extremely COLD or in the RAIN as it did rain while we were there. Also during our three days there we could not figure out how to turn on the bathroom light on in the upper part of the cabin so whenever we use that bathroom during the night, we did it with no light. There was a remote there that had a on off switch that didn’t work. The switches were also very weird, you would turn one light switch on, but it would cut something else off, and this was the case in both the upper and the lower portion of the cabin. Also, we could not get the fireplace to light in the main part of the cabin at all.

Hello, I am confused by this review we literally state in the description that this home has an in-law suite with its own private entrance and is located on the second floor. By definition an in-law suite is a self-contained living space. We also have no pictures indicating a staircase inside the main dwelling. We will look into the other issues you mentioned. If you ever do stay with us in the future we do offer Guest Services 7 days a week as well as an emergency on-call number for any issues that might arise.
