About this property

Fawn Creek Hideaway-Dog Friendly, Close to Mazama!

Fawn Creek Hideaway(a dog friendly legal, licensed nightly rental with a current Okanogan County health permit as required by law)was built in the 1960's from logs and timber taken from the nearby area. It was one of the first structures in the Edelweiss area and served as a hunter's camp, complete with horse corral for trips into the back country. It was recently remodeled and now has a nicely finished interior.
Fawn Creek Hideaway has a fully equipped kitchen w/dishwasher & microwave, a beautiful and newly remodeled enclosed sunny breakfast nook, and living room with gas fireplace. TV/VCR/DVD, CD player, wireless internet and a great entertainment deck with BBQ, and table for relaxing in this wooded setting. I has two queen beds and a full sleeper sofa.

**We have limited wifi due to our location in the valley. Therefore please read the following....
INTERNET POLICY
**We strive to provide the best internet service we can get here in the very rural Methow Valley. Internet speeds vary throughout the valley and outages or tech issues can occur that we have no control over, and for these reasons NO REFUNDS are given if the internet is problematic. We also do not guarantee that the internet will meet your work/school needs. Should you have an issue with internet service, please send us a message through VRBO describing the problem. We will then contact you to troubleshoot. If the issue is not resolved, we will then contact the internet provider, and/or homeowner. Please note... our valley is very rural and getting service personnel to fix things in a timely manner can be a challenge. We rent lodging, not office space.

IMPORTANT WINTER INFORMATION POLICY :
**Should you travel to the Methow during the winter months it is important to understand that you must be prepared for winter driving(keep chains, shovel...in the car) and all the inconveniences it causes you and the community you are visiting. The weather can be extreme with large snowfalls, unexpected technical issues, frozen pipes, impassable roads/driveways). If it snows while here you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies and Methow Reservations nor the owners of the house are in control of the plow company schedules. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads, driveways...to plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Your cooperation and patience are required especially after any significant snow accumulation. Should you get stuck you can call Classic Towing in Twisp, WA

**WEATHER CONDITIONS**

We are not responsible for weather conditions that impact your travel. If you will be arriving during the winter, please be sure you have proper equipment for driving in the snow, and carry tire chains for driving over the passes. Our local roads are always kept open and in good condition for winter travel. There are no refunds for road closures; however, if both Stevens and Snoqualmie mountain passes are closed for more than eight hours and the closures prohibit you from reaching the property, you may reschedule your stay for an arrival within three months of the pass closures. Please note that the North Cascades Pass is always closed during winter. It is the guest's responsibility to check to see on mountain passes before and during travel any time of the year. If one is open an the other closed, the guest is to take the alternate route. No refunds will be given alternative routes can be taken.

**Propane Fireplace--The propane stove is a supplemental heating source not the main one. If there should be tech issues or the propane fireplace during your stay, please send a message through Airbnb. Methow Reservations and the owner will try to troubleshoot and remedy the problem. If the problem requires a part or there is an issue with the propane company that may take longer that your stay, NO REFUNDS will be given. Lovely cabin
We were two couples sharing the house for a nordic ski getaway. The cabin was adorable and nicely appointed; we all enjoyed the artwork. The porch with the heated floor that contained the dining table and a comfortable couch for reading was a really fun spot. The kitchen was big enough for more than one person to work in, and was very well supplied with kitchen items. We especially enjoyed the nice outdoor sauna. The brook in the backyard was wonderful too. The beds were comfortable. There was a nice front deck that was sunny and would be fun in the warmer weather. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely make a return visit.

Charming, well-appointed, roomy log cabin
This is our second year staying at Fawn Creek Hideway. We come in late May/early June to bird watch. The cabin is convenient to Rte 20 and Mazama, you can hear the sound of Fawn Creek through open windows. There is a large set of common rooms - kitchen, living room, dining room - on the main floor, and a master bedroom upstairs with a lovely view of trees and the sound of birds. Fishing and hunting trophies, art and decor abound. There are wildflowers blooming on the lawn. Plentiful and quick hot water, a dishwasher that didn't quite work how we expected, laundry facilities - everything we needed!
