A gas grill is located on one of the open decks with dining for eight on the screen porch just off of the kitchen. Rocking chairs, Adirondack chairs, benches, and an outdoor sofa provide seating for everyone in each of the four outdoor spaces where the whisper of the ocean can be heard.
The living room is open and warm and is the perfect gathering point for your entire family. Wood planks line the walls to give 12 42nd Avenue a true cottage feel that is so unique to the Island. The dining area features seating for six and opens to the newly renovated kitchen that has plenty of room for all the chefs of the house to work. 12 42nd Avenue is highlighted by four bedrooms that share two full baths. Three bedrooms feature a queen bed, and the fourth two twin beds provide comfortable bedding for eight. 12 42nd Avenue has a large garage area, which is fantastic for storing all of your beach equipment. Enjoyed out time on the beach in IOP so much we expect to return in the future. House was laid out well for us (3 couples and one other adult) with 4 bedrooms that had jack-n-jill baths and a large central area for gathering. Check in and communication with management company was outstanding.

We were in town for a dance competition in North Charleston & this place was perfect for two/three families! It is so close to the beach & spacious! Isle of Palms is beautiful & this house is in the perfect location to not have to deal with driving to the beach! Two screened in porches that we sat in a lot & plenty of parking! This place is not the most updated for the area but was perfect for us! Would definitely stay here again!

We went there -with my family- to relax before the start of the school year. Excellent property. Even thought is a little bit old, it is very well maintained, spacious and fully equipped. The 2 screened porches were wonderful. We always had breakfast in one of them. The location is excellent. You can walk to the beach and it is only a 5 minute the drive to supermarket/restaurants.
The property manager was great. When we arrived, there was no power due to a localized power outage caused by a storm. They even offered us and alternative location for that first night and then checked to make sure that we were fine. The also helped us with beach and baby gear rental services.
I highly recommend this property.
Location was great! One block from beach.
House has open floor plan with 2 bedrooms on either side which connect to bathrooms. Kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, plates, cups, pots and pans and appliances. Yard is small but we mostly stayed outside on the wonderful screen porch.
This was exactly what we were looking for. The house has a great, relaxed beach cottage feel. It's nice, but not too precious. We immediately felt right at home. The main living areas are larger than they look, and gave us plenty of room to spread out. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
2 families stayed here and it was perfect. The house is so cute and well taken care of. It is an open floor plan with plenty of bedrooms and well stocked. It was close to the end of the island, so even though it was a busy holiday week/weekend we were away from the traffic. We will definitely be back. Thank you for an easy relaxing week with our families!
Our family really appreciated this updated house just a 5 minute walk from the beach. Every room was large & the screened porches were a bonus. We loved the well equipped kitchen and many thoughtful touches that made this feel like a home. (Only significant suggestion is pest control treatment for the exterior ant population in yard & on driveway.)

Great Week at IOP
We had great time this year, the house was exactly like it was described on the website. Very Clean, very well equipped, it was very spacious and comfortale for 6 adults and two three year olds, a perfect location (this end of the island is my favorite), the price was good, weather was perfect, we could not have had better week. Beachside Vacations was very informative, kept us informed about our Check-In time and Check-Out procedures which was very helpful, the whole process from renting, arrival and departure was awesome, so thanks for a good Vacation. Hope to work with you in the future.
