The house was exactly as described. More than enough room for 5 to stay comfortably. The neighborhood is adorable. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back.
Stayed here when visiting family in the area. Very nice house with lots of space for family members. Really appreciate the good communication from the property manager, and her responsiveness and effort to any questions/concerns we may have had. Easily walkable to the grocery store for provisions, or to the variety of different and good restaurants nearby.
The house is in a great location to see the best Columbus has to offer. The neighborhood is beautiful and a short walk to walking/biking paths that connect to several parks. It is convenient to pools, parks, OSU, and downtown. The host is very accommodating and easy to contact.
Pros: House was very clean! Close to shops & a main street. Easy to walk to places. Two nice living spaces. Pet friendly. Plenty of towels & wash cloths. Beds were comfortable. The king is memory foam, just an FYI if you don't like that. The host was responsive. Cons: Old house super creaky floors! Farmers Market outside the house on Saturdays (we stayed Memorial weekend). Wish we would have known this since unpleasant singing woke us up on Saturday morning. We were blocked in for a bit as vendors park in front of the drive to pack up. Train tracks must be near b/c you can hear the horn honking inside the house at night. If you use a fan or white noise machine then you likely won't hear it while sleeping. Freezer handle is broken. Fridge doors are broken on the inside. The fridge doors do close, but apparently had a "power failure" which led to an hour of hunting for an insane beeping noise upon our late night arrival. Internet password isn't correct on the welcome papers, which were on the mantle & we couldn't find it easily. Online link to house guide doesn't work. Yard is mulch & wood chips- no grass. Yard had trash scattered around & a broken pipe. There was a skunk in the backyard & then around the fence the last day we were there. Left over dry good food items & plastic cutlery in the cabinets but they all look really old. Plastic cutlery box was stuck to the cabinet- didn't use any of them. Sink in the King bed/bath needs a drain stop. Jewelry can easily fall in.
The place served our needs & was advertised accurately. The location is great if you want to be close to campus. It's a little tricky to find the 1st time, but all good otherwise. I recommend it.
Enough space for a group of folks to spread out and great communication with the host. Check out process was easy and not cumbersome. The place isnt cluttered with decor or non practical furniture. We did have someone knock on the door looking for a handout but didnt discourage us from feeling safe.
My family and I just stayed for a night. The house had the porch lights on for us upon arrival and everything we needed. Location is perfect and close to grocery store, shopping and restaurants etc. All the beds and linens were very comfy and high quality, and each bathroom was clean. There were toiletry items available, kitchen supplies, laundry pods if needed and coffee/filters for the morning departure. Thank you again for everything, we will be using your Manor again in the future.
We had a great experience with this rental company and the house. We needed a larger home for multiple families for OSU graduation. We originally had another house, but the owner reached out and offered this house as an alternative due to construction and street closures. This house turned out to be perfect. The multiple sleeping options offered what we needed for different ages. The house looks like the pictures and is larger than I thought. We fit four cars in the driveway. I don’t know Columbus and didn’t know what to expect of the neighborhood. It is very nice and walkable. The coffee shop next door was a bonus. Highly recommend this house and this company.
This is our ninth year as college sorority sisters gathering for a week together in various cities across the country. As Ohio University graduates we decided to stay in Columbus and include a visit to the Athens campus as one of our "events." This house easily met our needs for comfort, fixing simple meals, and enjoying games at the huge table in the evening after a busy day out. The beds were comfortable and the linens provided were excellent. As senior women we did have a couple of issues. We would have appreciated a hand railing up the front steps and a grab bar in the second floor tub with the curvy bottom. For us, the staircase upstairs was fairly steep. We also had a issue with the upstairs thermostat not adjusting properly. We finally just turned it off. These issues have been mentioned to the property manager who plans to have them addressed. The house is convenient as advertised, just a bit congested with a very narrow driveway and street. If you like farmers markets there's one practically on your doorstep on Saturdays during spring-fall.
